Just shortened my T-o-F - thanks to your clear filming and teaching. Best watchbands ever - easy on/off or I can push it up my arm to wash dishes. Looking forward to watching more of your videos. Thank you for the generous share.

Thanks!! With your vid I was also able to remove two links from my Speidel stretch band. Fits nice and snug now. No more dangling watch! 👍😀

Thank you ! Took me 10 min. The last 4 or 5 min. was putting the two ends together. It wasn't difficult at all with the help of your video.

Thank you so much! I forgot how to do this and you got me right back in the game. Two watches done. Don't know where I would be without helpful people like you.

I wanted to come back to your video and thank you personally. I found your instructions on this subject to be 👍🏼 excellent.
As a vintage Accutron (and other watches) collector I come across many of these expanding type bands, and while I usually prefer a fold over clasp bracelet or a nice leather strap, I've come to appreciate them. I have them on a small number of pieces, and always need to size them. Your instructions have allowed me to be able to do so. I've probably successfully sized four or five now, and while they can be a little tricky I've always succeeded. It gets easier with each one.
Thank you again, well done 👍🏼🍻

When they came out with the Speidel bands I thought they was so great, when I bought a new watch I would replace band with a Speidel.

Excellent video. Followed along and easily took out the links I needed. When sliding the ends back together I did find it was easiest to pull the staple out of one side, slide the other side in and then with a tweezers push the removed staple back into the other side.

Thank you for this. I have small wrists and the Speidel Twist-O-Flex are the only ones that have ever fit me correctly. They don't seem to be commonly available in France. I figured I needed to order a Twist-O-Flex and learn how to size it myself. I think this video will get me where I need to go.

Meant to add - putting the two ends back together was kinda tricky, but doable. It made me wonder who it was that dreamed this up and had the patience to prototype this technology.

I personally don't care for Twist-o-Flex bands, and I know how much of a pain they can be to clean if you don't have an ultrasonic cleaner or to adjust them without damaging them. If I had a watch with a metal band I would personally prefer that it be a mesh or solid link band.
My method for opening the links is to place the band flat against the bench with the links to be opened facing downward, and then insert a flat-bladed screwdriver into the tab to be opened and lever it down flat against the side of the bench. I have found that this does the least amount of damage to the tabs and minimizes the need to straighten them before bending them back.

Thank you! Love this video.. now they have a new band, with a cover that has to be removed first from each link before you can get to the sides.. might be time for an update!

Thank you for clear instructions and easy to see steps! The directions that came with my husband's watch band were totally bogus. Your video is the correct method. The proof is in the pudding! Links successfully removed, and I have a happy husband!

If you are tired of using makeshift tools to work on watch bands, I found a selection of watch tools, including a tool for managing spring pins that is a godsend, at Harbor Freight. About $40 for all of them.
I'm not associated with Harbor Freight. I just hate dealing with spring pins and figure that a lot of other people do too.
