I really want to thank you for that video. It was the easiest and cleaner one for that type of band! Where I live I couldn't find anyone who was capable of adjusting it for me, so I tried to do it by myself. Really easy, the only difficulty I have faced was to put the little clip in the end, but using some pliers to hold it really secure was the best move.
Thanks for this video. My dad needed 5 links out of his new watch band, and following these instructions worked. It definitely takes patience. Working with a soft cloth on the table helped me, so when I dropped a piece, it stuck to the cloth instead of sliding off somewhere. Also, definitely close pets out of the room while you work. :)
Looks easy in video. Strong fingers, steady hands, excellent eyesight all required. Hard part is keeping the band ends aligned to push the link back in. Be prepared for frustration and links 'popping' out and across the room - you may never find them.
I have the same type of band and I’m goin to give this a try. At the store they want $55 to remove 3 links. I just hope I don’t mess it up. Thanks for posting
Thank you so much! That was so easy! (And for the people commenting about returning the pin, try using needle-nose plyers, that made the job really simple).
I just did mine . Took my time assessed the task at hand ; the links and which ones for sizing . Make sure you have clean work desk those retainer pins are like mini staples, don't want drop one or good luck finding it especially on carpet. 😆
Did this with a cheap gold plated watch from Walmart ! Expansion band but my wrist was still to small. Hard part was getting the second link into it. But over all, super easy! They sell the watch repair kit and comes with all you need at Walmart as well! 🙏🏼🤘🏼
I had the same problem with a Walmart watch I bought for my son! I used a tweezer for the second link, and it saved me a headache after trying with my hands for 10 minutes.
So I finally noticed why this was so easy. At 1:31 it shows a slot in the bottom of the band into which the top is slid to hold it in place while you insert the staple pin. My Speidel band has no such slots in the band. The stuff nightmares are made of.
don’t let some of these comments scare you, this really was not difficult at all. Make sure this is the same type of expansion band that you have, that’s my only guess as to how anyone had any trouble following this. I literally used tweezerman tweezers and a plastic block thing and i was finished in 30 minutes. I am notoriously slow at any given task so i was fully expecting to spend at least an hour, but nope. Thank you for the tutorial!
I’ll warn you up front. You better have ALL the proper tools needed for this task and a ton of patience. If you lack any of these, don’t even try. These guys on videos like this fail to tell you how many things they’ve destroyed before getting it right. Be aware also of your skill level. You were warned.

This is honestly the best tutorial for this type of watch band. Watched over 5 and couldn't do it but this video was perfect! Thank you!
You sir are a life-saver! Not only that, but you saved me a trip to the watchmaker's (and money too!) Thank you so much! 👍🏻

The pin was the hardest part 😅🤕
Best video I've found on adjusting an expansion band. Works great. Thank you! Don't know why this video doesn't have more views.

Very useful and very clear. After watching the video I managed to fix my watch band myself.
Very helpful video!! Thank you very much for sharing this!! :)
Also one of those flashlights that strap onto your forehead are very helpful.

It’s actually much easier than a standard band with links.
Hate it when they give you a flimsy pin pusher with it and at the first pin it starts to bend 😂
Gran video, pude reparar una correa rota, muchas gracias
Gracias me sirvió el vídeo ya arreglé mi reloj 🥰
A big help. Thanks for that!
Fits snug. Hope my wrists never get fatter LOL. If they do i might not be able to fund the pins required to add a link

You sound like a f'n moron bro!
@emmanuelramirez101 Either a joke or someone had a very rough time with them u-clips 🤣
Yeah this has to be one of the worst bands to try to work on. Mine was an accutime watch.
