I’m the owner of these shoes! Dan was an absolute gentleman and the work was flawless. The shoes have to be functionally perfect to handle heavy squats and technical perfect to make sure they meet strict competition guides. This guys a shoe magician!
Were they ever “technically perfect”. What are these strict competition guidelines? Never had mine checked. I do love an old wooden heel though. Feel solid and make a great sound when weightlifting.
Just got home after a 12h hospital shift and this was the sweetest thing to see after a tough day. The apron looks awesome 🔥 you are a kind human being! Thank you Dan 🙌🏻
Dan, my wife and I just need to tell you how entertaining snd positive you are in your videos. We think you are/should be a movie star as you are as cool and natural as anyone out there. You are an awesome shoemaker as well making it all look so easy!!!! You are great!
Probably one of the coolest recraftings I have ever seen. Well done Dan. As a cobbler intern this shows me how much we really can think out of the shoe box. 😊
I found you by this channel, and for a long time I enjoyed your content. Your secondary fitness channel is a gem! Anyone reading this should explore it, I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did!
They use ladder lacing in the catering corps so if you spill boiling water or oil down your boots you can quickly cut them off. I think it looks cool! This was a great episode 😁 you did an amazing job on the squatters ❤️
Far far away in the past I was an active bodybuilder. Never did competitions, but used it as a reason to learn how to focus & meditate in the sportvibe. Now I use this focus & meditation in a form of painrelief and moving my partly torn muscles.
Oh man, that reveal of the Oklahoma Willy just sent me on a great journey of discovery, ending in finding out it was this very jet bug that I saw on TV at the Austrian Grand Prix this year in the background of the broadcast, the Austrian commentators were absolutely floored! Awesome thing your dad got going there!
But can the weightlifting shoes like the Adidas Powerlifts be bottom stitched? It has a softer EVA as opposed to TPU with a thinner heel height. Just wonder as I feel stitching it together and glueing it is much more secured than glue alone. For thos wondering why I asked this is because a saw a freak accident of someone doing a clean and jerk. The outsoles came off during the split-jerk causing his front leg to slip into extreme knee hyperextension while the bar came crashing into his back... so.... I kinda need answers right now.
That was something completely different Dan. What an amazing job you made. Nice to see Chris the chair man, loving my Orange Box chair all thanks to your channel.
Been a subscriber for some time and really enjoy the videos. Also, from Oklahoma in the US, so was really excited to see a shout-out in your dad’s VW. Very cool.
Very interesting! There is a noticeable difference when wearing the squat shoes! Without them, there is almost a popping movement in the hip area- looks like it could be dangerous!
Great video as usual. Oklahoma Willy is one heck of a creation! It's nice to see young people with such a passion for their job, it's also a plus that you just seem like a genuinely cool chap.
From south africa : your apron in this video looks super good , my name is Wynand , you enspire , you'r a champion , to me . Thanks for your videos . Greeting from S.A.
These came out great. Makes me want to send in my old weightlifting shoes for some upgrades. I'm a little old for weightlifting now (42 in a few days 😬), but I can definitely still use them for squatting.
Lovely apron, will be great and esthetic piece of gear for all your cobbler duties. 7:25 - yaay the mysterious intestines of the machine ! Dan will fix everything, from dress shoes to squat shoes ! 19:59 - yay, the beast is roaring back
The new apron is really fine Dan. Those shoes you refurbished here are awesome. You make it look so easy! OH, and ah, well those blue sparkly high heels....with the big bulky fronts, I think are too dangerous for you to do squats in. They look a bit too small and I think you should make a couple of wedges and somehow attach them to those tiny heels. I dunno Dan. I think they just aren't YOU. Just sayin..... Say! They might fit Chris tho...have him givem a go. Ron reported that he nearly went into a moult when he saw those things! Love ur vids and I did let my imagination go over the heels. hehe J
As always amazing work, I was searching for Ron and then you brought him into the shot! You always bring me a smile. New apron looks great, always a fan of a man in leather 😉
FlippingDrawers looks like a nice channel! The channel is missing charismatic Dan on stage but still looks great for ASMR and for a restoration enthusiast I am, soooo already subscribed!
Wondering if you have not done so, if you could do a machine and tool tour video, explaining you machines and tools and the history of them. Maybe some beginners cobbler advice aswell.
Hello Dan! i'm curious. you think its possible to add heel to an old rubber shoe? example like an old Nike Metcon, remove the old sole and put wooden heel?
After living in Japan for a few years the first thing I thought was that is KA the Japanese character for power, totally forgetting they ripped off all the Kanji from China. Ironic that now China rips a lot of the technology off of Japan.

It’s true, I was the shoes. Incredible job Dan
It’s true, I was the glue. Excellent job Dan!

Sturdy apron....🥃
That jet powered VW looks gorgeous!
Really been interested in seeing you work on a more “modern” sneaker designed shoe vs the classy leather ones. Very interesting to watch! 👍🏻
Everybody report these scammer spam messages! 👆
I'm just here to watch Dan use some power tools and do some squats!
The fact that you can take any shoe and restore it to better than the original is an art-form.
Dan, my wife and I just need to tell you how entertaining snd positive you are in your videos.

I love how you throw in interesting little tidbits, like the shed and those super high heel shoes. I love your work.
I love the 'flippingdrawers' channel, I watch it all the time! Nice apron!
Thank you Pinkhill🥰
What. The. Actual... Omg that camper is the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen 😍
Dan is a Shoe Magician and EXTREMELY HANDSOME! Woof!

This scammer spam is unbelievable! 👆
I just signed up for Dan the Cobbler. Reg and Ronnie made me.
YaY!!!
Today I have to binge watch all videos on the new channel before I fall behind!
what an absolute unit of an apron, I love it
Dan - thanks for the hospitality yesterday when we dropped by the shop from the USA. Tring is a great town and I love your shop! Best wishes from TN!
Pleasure to meet you buddy, hope you enjoyed the trip to Tring and managed to find a good hot chocolate!
Far far away in the past I was an active bodybuilder. Never did competitions, but used it as a reason to learn how to focus & meditate in the sportvibe. Now I use this focus & meditation in a form of painrelief and moving my partly torn muscles.
Never knew about the reason for the squat shoes, my gym has some wedges you can place on the floor while squatting so might try those next time.
The belt hole joke was excellent 👏🏻
5:50 Wowzers!!! Totally unexpected yet greatly appreciated to see this kind of content on your channel!!!
I love car stuff so thanks for showing your dad’s shop as well!
I would love to see reactions of people when they receive their shoes back! The work you do is magnificent and I’m sure they’re all astounded
That new apron is wonderful. It was cool to see you repair those shoes with wood. 😊😊
Great job Dan watching your videos makes want to learn the trade .

I love this channel, shows off a JET ENGINE camper van and everyone is just like "nice shoes" (I agree but still)
I reckon this could be one of the best yet. Such good work creating that new heel block by hand!

Hey dan love your work could you add vibram soles to a af1? If so would it break the air unit and loose height?
Nice apron I bet it smells great. SO your not fitting a gloss red sole?? great video 2x👍
The VW looks fantastic

That's a first and boy was it satisfying to watch !
Good to hear!
Do a restoration of common project with the original sole soon!
Working on a squatting shoe is a good way segue into your new channel.
Is it possible to glue the back the outsole of a Romaleos 4 (or any weightlifting shoes in general)? The original glue is wearing off.
Good job.

Hello from Oklahoma!!!!! Love the van name
you're a reminder that not all humans stink. keep being you!

Yea!
What do you think of famaco shoe care products?
They look great. Not sure a Fir 2x4 with a big knot in the middle is the material I would have used, but otherwise great job.

What type of glue do you use to attach the slow to the shoe?
No one ever told me about squat shoes. That is my next dream shoes!
Hasil kerja tangan yang kemas, saya suka tengok kamu buat kerja.
It looks like you use pine for the wood. Wouldn't it have been better to use hardwood like cedar or do you need the give in the softer wood?
Amazing content as always brother. I wish you an upgraded camera tho, shooting this pleasant series!
I have no clue why this is so fascinating to me but I literally watch for hours- for no apparent reason lol 🙃
