    • @Jason-kp4vc
      @Jason-kp4vc 5 лет назад +14

      Time travel is a touchy subject since time is relative. Extreme gravity like from a black hole can distort time and perception. That said, I imagine time travel is not possible for humans as we're limited to 3 dimensions, but a being from a higher dimension could travel across time with ease. Time is often regarded in fiction as the 4th dimension because we don't have any other concepts in mind. The concept of time travel becomes incomprehensible when you start looking at all the factors that may be affected if you travel across time. If time lines exist, where do they lie? In the 4th dimension? Are we a bunch of stills from a video, traveling forward in time? Is there a still for every possibility, one where I did not type this comment? Will this reply be posted under the comment of the original commenter, or will it be under his alternate version, because I mistyped a word and erased it to type it again? Is this what infinite timelines means? How can we humans even begin to comprehend infinity? Is there an entire timeline that was created at the dawn of time, one that I'm not in because I typed 23 instead of 22? Are our fates predetermined if we move across the timeline because of our actions, yet arrive at a result that has always existed? Are our lives just elaborate 'choose your own adventure' books?

      The latest theory says that it is possible, but it would require an immense amount of energy to distort the space-time continuum to cause travel back in time. They think something like the energy of a black hole, which as of right now it would be unimaginable to be able to control it, but who knows what technology will look like in the future. They might eventually be able to make it happen.

      Time travel is not a hard concept to understand. Its completely possible. Simply the faster you move through space, the slower you age. You can also achieve this by catapulting around a black hole near the event horizon, where theoretically you can age 100,000x slower than the people being affected by earths gravity.

    • @ben00000100
      @ben00000100 8 лет назад +4

      Thing is to time travel, you would need to move significant distances through space also. At each point in time the earth itself is in a completely different point in space. So we spin at 460 metres per second, orbit the sun at nearly 30 km a second, the sun moves around the centre of the galaxy at 220 km a second which in turn rockets through space along with neighbouring galaxies at around 1000 km a second. So to move back ten years (approximately 315,360,000 seconds) you would also have to cover a distance of around 315,360,000,000 km to come within somewhere near the length of a galaxy in distance to Earth at that point in time. Also to cause ripples in the fabric of space-time, currently the only way we have proven this can happen is by a cataclysmic event like the collision of two large stars. Therefore, for now, it's pretty unlikely :)

    • @ben00000100
      @ben00000100 8 лет назад +3

      However relativity shows, if you orbited close to a body of large gravitational force, eg. a black hole, and someone was orbiting further away, they would observe time differently to you. You'd experience time much more slowly, therefore the oter person would age quicker. So that is sort of like time travel, just you don't really get it on Earth. Satelites orbiting Earth only experience a difference of about on second every 60 years or something.

      If it's a real AI that someone put into a mobile robotic shell that was designed just to fuck and be fucked, all the while being inhabited by a sentient, feeling being put on a leash and restricted to follow the wishes of the one who is about to fuck it.... that's rape cheating. Or something like that. I guess we'd have to define what a sex robot is, besides a human looking automaton. Without AI, is just a very complex vibrator/fleshlight.
