      ..............................................................................................
      The submission of man to His Creator is the essence of Islam. The name “Islam” is chosen by God (Allah) and not by man. It is the same unifying Message revealed to all the Prophets and Messengers by Allah and which they spread amongst their respective nations. In its Final form it was revealed to Muhammad (Peace & Mercy of Allah be upon him) as a complete Message to whole mankind. The Lord, Allah, is the True and Only Creator that deserves to be worshipped. No worship is worthy of being given to a stone, statue, a cross, a triangle, Khomeini, Farakhan, Eliajahs, Malcom’s X or Y, Ghandi, Krishna, Guru, Buddha, Mahatma, Emperor, Joseph Smith, Sun, Moon (not to that from Korea too!), Light, Fire, rivers, cows, Rama, Temples, Prophets, Messengers (Yes! Muslims do not worship Muhammad-peace be upon him), Saints, Priests, Monks, Movie Stars, Sheiks, etc.!!! All are created beings or things.
      ALLAH, is the Name of the One True God. His Name is not chosen by man and does not have a number or gender. It is known that Allah is the Name of God in Aramaic, the language of our beloved Prophet Jesus and a sister language of Arabic. The Name “Allah” has been used by all previous Prophets starting with Adam and by the last and final Prophet, Muhammad (Peace be upon them all).
      The Innate Nature in man recognizes what is good and bad, what is true and false. It recognizes that the Attributes of Allah must be True, Unique, and All-Perfect. It does not feel comfortable towards any kind of degradation of His Attributes not does it qualities to the Creator. Many who became “discontent with God” did so because of the practices of the Church in medieval Europe and because of the claims of “god dwelling in a son” and the concept of the “original sin”. However, they “escaped” into worshipping a new theory called “mother nature” as well as the “material” World. With the advancement of materialistic technology others from different religions adopted the concept of “forgetting about God” and “let us live this life and enjoy it!”, not realizing that they have chosen the worship of the “original god” of Rome: Desire!.
      NOW we can see that all of this materialistic and secular progress produced a spiritual vacuum that led to complex social, economical, political, and psychological problems. Many of those who “fled” their “religions” are in search again. Some try to “escape” the complexity of their daily lives via various means. Those who had the chance to examine the Qur’an and Islam, proceed with a complete way of life that relates man to establish a purpose for his presence on earth. This is well recognized in the Attributes of Allah and what does He require from man. He does not want man to be enslaved to any false deity: nature, drugs, lust, money, other man, desire, or sex. He provides man with the proofs that He is the One who can redeem so that man can free himself from the slavery to any form of creation and to turn to his Creator Alone. THIS Creator Has Perfect Attributes. He is the First, nothing is before Him, the Ever Living. To Him is the Final Return where everyone will be dealt with in the Most Perfect and Just way. He does not begot nor He is begotten. Those who attribute Divinity to Jesus forget or ignore the fact that Jesus was in a mother’s womb. He needed nutrition; he was born and grew up to be a man. He was trusted with the Gospel as a Message to the Children of Israel: “For there is One God, and one mediator (i.e. a messenger) between God and men (the Children of Israel), the man Christ Jesus) (I Timothy 2:5). A man-messenger calling his nation not to worship him: “But in vain they do worship me!” (Mathew 15:9). A man who needs to eat, walk, sleed, rest, etc.. cannot have Divine Attributes because he is in need and God (Allah) is Self-Sufficient.
      AS far as Buddhism, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism, Marxism, and Capitalism,
      there is the devotion of worshipping created being/things in one form or another. Jews had attributed a “Nationalistic” belonging to Allah. They labeled Him “The Tribal God” for the Children of Israel. Men and women following these “religions” were born with the natural inclination of submission to their Creator, Allah. It is their parents who had driven them into their respective traditions. However, once people are exposed to the Signs of Allah around them, or in the Qur’an or to someone who triggers thei Fitra (natural inclination to worship Allah Alone), the reverting process begins and that is why we see a universal spreading of Islam. In the West and despite tha many distortions of Islam in the Media, many admit that Islam may be the fastest growing Faith. No sense of fairness can be achieved without a genuine attempt to know the Word of Allah in the Qur’an and not on the 30-min-Evening News. This is the real challenge for those who seek the Truth. Man is created for a purpose: to live a life in accordance with Allah’s way. Why Not? Do we posses the air we breath? Did we create ourselves or others? Or were we ourselves the Creators? We are limited and weak. So is our right to ignore our Creator where we all need Him?
      ISLAM is the submission in worship to Allah Alone and it is the essence of all the Messages sent to all nations before us. Allah is All-Just and All-Wise. He does not intend confusion for His Creation. The religion accepted to Him is the one chosen by Him. Its essence must be One, because He is One. It is free from geographical, racist, and status oriented concepts. It is Perfect and it is the complete way of life. All these qualities are chosen by Allah in His Only Religion: Islam. Its details are in in the Qur’an, read it and come with an open heart because none can expose better than the World of Allah. The Qur’an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad. He did not author it. He was unlettered. Its translation is available in many languages in bookstores or in an Islamic Center close to you. Take the time to read it and come/call the Islamic Center, or speak to someone who re-verted and submitted to Allah Alone.

Oddly enough the first scientist to ever propose the Big Bang theory was Catholic. Not just that, he was a priest - a monsignor who was also educated in Cambridge and MIT. Father Georges Lemaitre published his scientific observations “A homogeneous universe of constant mass and increasing radius accounting for the radial velocity of extra-galactic nebulae” 2 years before Hubble did and is now widely regarded by scientist as the Father of the Big Bang. Einstein himself said of Lemaitre' theories "This is the most beautiful and satisfactory explanation of creation to which I have ever listened”!

      @Denam I am an agnostic, and he made the best point of having faith in a superior existence (in general, not being a Christian, Jew, Buddhist or whatever) I have ever heard. I really like how he stresses that he is thankful for 'the chance to even exist', and also that he explains his thoughts rational, and only rational, and that he isn't particularly trying to convince others, but to only explain. I really have nothing but respect for him, it would be great seeing more people trying to argue (/think) the way he does.

    • @Bill_Garthright
      @Bill_Garthright 5 лет назад +3

      @Denam
      Sorry, but I don't get it. I'm thankful for my life, too, but that doesn't mean I have to imagine a magic man in the sky. That has nothing to do with being thankful.
      And I actually care about the _truth._ I like Stephen Colbert, but I care far too _much_ for the truth to accept some nonsense like that, even from _him._ He just returned to the religion he'd been taught to believe as a child, that's all. Even _he_ doesn't claim that he discovered some evidence that it's actually _true._
      Furthermore, this is the same Catholic Church which has been covering up child rape, while moving pedophile priests to new, unsuspecting parishes, where they could find fresh victims. This is the same Catholic Church that was stealing infants in Spain (telling their mothers that they'd died in childbirth) and then _selling_ them. This is the same Catholic Church which had mass graves of women and children in Ireland, while they treated like dirt even those women who survived. And this is the same Catholic Church which fights against birth control, LGBTQ rights, abortion rights, etc.
      Now, yes, worldwide, religious people _overwhelmingly_ believe in whatever religion and whatever god or gods they were taught to believe as children. That's just a fact. And Colbert was raised Catholic. But if child rape won't get him to at least switch to a different _sect,_ if not abandon superstition entirely, what _would?_
      I heard Colbert talk about this on a Catholic Church video, too. Basically, he said he returned to the church because it made him feel good. That's really disappointing. He didn't discover some evidence that it was actually _true,_ and he still felt good despite the child rape, apparently. I don't get it, I really don't. And although I respect Stephen Colbert, I certainly don't respect this.

      As Colbert said, it's explicitly not a position of proof for him. It's an eternal mystery, and a byproduct of his emotions, but he acknowledges it is so. He doesn't deny his humanity, he just uses it as a justification to be a better person.
      That, by itself, is great. Alas, it's not the most common trait in people.

I think there are many people in Hollywood that share a similar passion for their faith in God, but they’re too intimidated to come forth and talk about it. I really appreciate Colbert’s boldness to address theism in front of others who are in disagreement. America needs to relearn that disagreeing is okay.

      @Max Kanz - so much of our world culture is based off of Christianity. The way we've dated history, the holidays we observe and aswell as the evidence itself, experts from both sides agree that much of what is Bible history is real history.
      If we're talking specifically about the idea of God and creation - that debate has been long fought and I think will continue to persist for decades to come.
      But if Christianity continues to raise people up like Kenneth Copeland and Benny Hinn as figures that represent Christianity - Christians will always look like the ones who believe in pure fairytales.

    I like Colbert a lot. He summed up theism and christianity perfectly. Theism gives him a place to put his gratitude for The unanswered questions about how and why it all began. His christian faith is an extrapolation of that. In other words, in the absence of evidence, he believes because he wants to and its comforting.

    • @frankytoad12
      @frankytoad12 5 лет назад +24

      I can respect that he admitted to that. So many Christians insist that there is good evidence for their beliefs and tout it as objective truth.

    • @petyrkowalski9887

      Frank Harrison exactly..and its totally disingenuous. There is no compelling evidence but the number of hard line christians who use the laws of thermodynamics to "prove god" or claim the bible is a factual historical record etc etc. Its a big delusion and massive fantasy. At least Colbert knows its a comfort blanket.

    Neil's point was that generally, the scientifically literate way to think about the universe is to admit you don't know, and to seek answers through evidence-based science. You don't believe anything unless the evidence leads you there. Believing in a creator, and that "Through Christ, all things were made" contradicts that entirely. There's no evidence to suggest that Christ had anything to do with all things being made, so believing that is exactly the opposite of evidence-based rational thought.
    Is it better to know or not know? It's better to know, but it's important to be able to admit when you don't know. Admitting you don't know is the first step towards seeking the truth.

    • @Euanhamiltonmusic

      @@calapsesathir4408 Is this a troll comment? You can't prove a negative, the burden of proof is on the one making the claim.. in this case, the claim of the existence of God. I'm so sick of saying that, I figured everyone knew that by now.
      Do I know God doesn't exist? No, of course not. In the same way I don't know fairies don't exist, or unicorns, or leprechauns, or ghosts, or the Flying Spaghetti Monster. I can't prove the non-existence of any of those things.. but I don't believe in any of them. I don't believe in anything unless there is some credible evidence to support it. Until then, it lies in the pile of all the other unproven shit.

    • @Jasonmoofang
      @Jasonmoofang 5 лет назад +22

      Well, I see where you're coming from. But there are a few things worth pointing out. Firstly, if you dig enough, even science does not hold up to the idea of skepticism until proven true. Science functions on several important baselines that we cannot actually prove: for eg, that real human knowledge is possible and coherent, that mental models of the external world actually is a workable approximation of the external world (if an external world exists). REAL skepticism until proven true will reduce one to not accepting pretty much anything. All scientific reasoning actually rests on a baseline of premises that we accept not because we know unerringly that they are true, but because we have no choice if we want to believe we can know things. In a real sense of the word, this is, in fact, faith.
      Next, it's important to realize that what evidence does is it supplies you with material for rational argument. It is actually rational argument - and not evidence, that makes something believable and convincing. It just happens that certain rational argument need observations in the world as raw material - that is what we call evidence. Evidence, in other words, works solely by the authority of rational argument. For many types of questions about the physical world, science in fact supplies the framework of the rational argument so that we simply need to fit in the observations to get the conclusion.
      And finally, it is a mistake to suppose that all religious people simply accept something like "through Christ all things were made" without reason. Many, many people have put together reasoned arguments for this and various other aspects of Christianity. Even common believers usually have reasons, though they may not realize it. Many may not have the right reasons as well.

    “Why is there something instead of nothing?” and “How strange it is to be anything at all” : These I have pondered for so long - since I was very young - and until my tiny mind was overwhelmed by the “wah-wah-wah”-ing of existence - the pulsating of the infinite expanse of time and space and consciousness. If your focus is held too long by the concept of etre, it feels as if the pressure of the longing to know will cause you to implode.
    It’s a comfort to know that a kindred spirit, such as Mr. Colbert, has a venue to share his brilliance and warmth.
