one of the most underrated bands of all time. JC is a fantastic songwriter - pure emotion and lyrics that everyone can relate to. Glad I've seen them on more than one occasion.
you have to listen closely to the unpredictable harmony voice behind the main voice, once you hear what they are doing you will be astonished that it works but if you played the harmony voice by itself it would sound like cats fighting but the disharmony balances all together.
My mate Steve introduced me to Del Amitri just before I left London in 1997, and they've stayed with me in NZ all this time. What a joy to hear this live! Takes me back, and yet still of today as well.
No autotune, nonsense dancing, fakery, miming. Actual musicians, singers who can hit the right notes and have the diaphragm to project. Thanks Del Amitri for getting me through those tough teen years 3 decades back, cheers lads I owe you some drams.
Don’t forget Texas, Simple Minds, Wet Wet Wet, Framz Ferdinand, Travis.... I still think this band is one of the most underrated bans from that era...... beautiful music, used to listen to Waking Hours over and over....... they have a unique sound and voice.. baffles me how they never went crazy big
The harmonies are incredible, mostly hidden in the mix in the original studio versions, it brings new life to the songs seeing them very much in the fore in the live gigs.
One of the first songs I ever heard by Del Amitri. (The first was "kiss this thing goodbye" in 1990... The same applies.) I became an instant fan, or better said, mega-fan! I've been a die hard Del Amitri fan ever since. My great regret was never seeing them live in 30 yrs. Now I get a chance finally to have one of my music dreams fulfilled... The Dels live in 2022! Thank you God! Trying to type this through my tears of joy and gratitude.

Seen these about 8 times (Norwich, Cambridge & Ipswich). One of very few bands that live, still sounds like their recordings. Great sound, fantastic lyrics - superb all round. Have their new album pre- ordered. Can't wait for it to pop through my letter box. Respect lads.
My "ears" were hypnotized in London in 1989. The effect seems to be unbroken and has been reactivated by the new and mature album "Fatal Mistakes". Great performance! Wish them all the best! 🍀🍄☀️🌈
I could still play Waking Hours all day and love it. Still know every word. And driving with the brakes on and it's never too late to be alone. Hell, all of ' em
Awesome show in Milwaukee yesterday. Sounded as good as they did in 1997 when I saw them last. Great to have them back in the US. Hopefully it won't be another 25 years til I see them again!
How comes such a band did not make a global impact! There have been rubbish bands ,singers made it though such as culture club, pet shop boys, duran duran etc. Sad.

Did last week , brilliant

The most underrated songwriter of the last 30 years. And what a voice
I love Justin's voice here, it pops beautifully. This guy is one of the best songwriters of the last 50 years.

In a world of boy bands (who don't even play an instrument ) or half naked girls....These guys are still and always will be a REAL talent 💯%
They look so sad here though! Like they’re all on the edge of tears.
Real people though, singing real songs ❤
But the songs flow so beautifully
The best Scottish band from the past 40 years.

@@brianbrooking496 I don't forget them. There's just none of them measure up to the Dels.
Love&money hipsway aswell
Wot About RUNRIG
@@07971Phil Runrig are excellent but they don't have the same depth of songs Del Amitri have. Their song writing quality isn't even close.
For those who appreciate good songwriting, he is right up there with the best. Just a complete delight.
Oh yeah ...
Watching Iain doing background vocals is simultaneously amusing and awesome. I love that he and JC have the partnership that gives life to Del Amitri.

..... and here I am again 6 months later listening to it again!!!
An absolutely outstanding live version of my favourite Del Amitri song
Near 30 years , and it sounds to me like the first time, the best song ever write. Perfect
Justin Currie a true poet!❤

Timeless the only group I went to see more than once, and always makes me smile when I listen to Del Amitri 30 years on
Garbage

Waking Hours was my brother's favorite album. We played it to him when he was in a coma before we removed life support.
Love these guys songs and the accordian really adds to this song,
fine song fine band, love em
Music in its purest form.
This song never gets old. How can a song about infidelity sound so sweet? Every time.
Near 30 years , and it sounds to me like the first time, the best song ever write. Perfect👌
Always wonderful❤
Great tune the first time you hear it - great song the thousandth time you hear it.....!!!!

Justin Currie's voice has got softer over the years but he still hits all the notes. Perfection.
They were and still are the real deal.
My first favorite song from Del Amitri. Sounds just as incredible now as the day it was released.
Underated band.
Not underrated. Celebrated. They did ok

what a voice what a song!
Love this song. Means a lot to me and at a point in my life it meant everything. Thank you for putting words to my life ♥
In the top 10 song smiths of all time IMO. So under rated
And do we have to listen today? Shouting man, Sam Ryder!!
I could still play Waking Hours all day and love it. Still know every word. And driving with the brakes on and it's never too late to be alone. Hell, all of ' em

AUSSIES MATE, just like CHISEL
Love this band, but this song never really worked for me.
I have a confession.
