I love most of the performances from this competition tbh. I watched the entire thing recently and he killed week after week, even when the song choice wasn't great for his style. Adagio is probably my favorite though. Just enjoy the journey man, no matter what you listen to from him, or which version it's always worth it!

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the other performance too. It's surprising what gems still turn up that we haven't seen. Both of my favourite Dimash performances of SOS and All By Myself are little known performances buried in the depths of RUclips. Unfortunately most reactors use the heavily edited and cut version of All By Myself from the World's Best show whereas the MTV awards performance is the best he's ever done without the playing around that he usually does in the concert versions.

Nope. Not at all. As a former performer and now music writer/expert, I can definitely tell the difference between outside factors causing a lower performance and just a lack of talent on the artists part. No worries at all. I'll be doing lots more reactions.
You have a long road of Dimash ahead of you. Personally, I believe he's historically the greatest singer ever. Whenever you may get to these 3 songs, it would be best to go to Gloria Wu's channel for their background stories; "Daybreak", "Autumn Strong" and "Daididau". These will greatly enhance your experience.
So glad you made the time to find this version. In 2017, at this competition, Dimash knew very little English. He had one week to learn this song -phonetically- and then put his spin on it. I would also like to see Dimash working with the best metal rock musicians. I think his intention is to come to the west , but it was stopped by the pandemic restirictions. He has just finishded two concerts in Europe, Düsseldorf and Prague that were posponed two years ago.

If you havent seen it yet watch Stranger by Dimash. He goes to the depths of hell with his vocal fry. Then past heaven. If you couldnt see it you would think there were 6 different people from 6 different countries. Its awesome
I have 3 favorites. SOS cause this is the first one I saw. Stranger cause it just shows so many multiple things he can do. Ave maria. He illicited more emotions than I can remember without saying 1 word. I was mesmorized (probably spelled that wrong) No matter what Im feeling on any given day Ave Maria speaks to that need. Love to watch reactors cause I can now imagine what my face looked like the time I heard him the 1st time
I read that Brian May saw this and liked it. As far as collaborations with people goes, he has been working for a few years with Russian composer Igor Krutoy, who has been writing music for Dimash's vocal range. One of the latest examples is "Stranger". You might also be interested to see what Dimash did with Lionel Richie's "Hello" as a guest performer on Singer 2018. His English had improved by then. The English and Chinese songs in Singer 2017 were learned phonetically - but the judges were the Chinese audience members, who probably wouldn't pick up on pronunciation problems anyway.

Nope. Not at all. As a former performer and now music writer/expert, I can definitely tell the difference between outside factors causing a lower performance and just a lack of talent on the artists part. No worries at all. I'll be doing lots more reactions.
You have a long road of Dimash ahead of you. Personally, I believe he's historically the greatest singer ever. Whenever you may get to these 3 songs, it would be best to go to Gloria Wu's channel for their background stories; "Daybreak", "Autumn Strong" and "Daididau". These will greatly enhance your experience.

I would also like to see Dimash working with the best metal rock musicians. I think his intention is to come to the west , but it was stopped by the pandemic restirictions. He has just finishded two concerts in Europe, Düsseldorf and Prague that were posponed two years ago.

If you havent seen it yet watch Stranger by Dimash. He goes to the depths of hell with his vocal fry. Then past heaven. If you couldnt see it you would think there were 6 different people from 6 different countries. Its awesome

I read that Brian May saw this and liked it. As far as collaborations with people goes, he has been working for a few years with Russian composer Igor Krutoy, who has been writing music for Dimash's vocal range. One of the latest examples is "Stranger". You might also be interested to see what Dimash did with Lionel Richie's "Hello" as a guest performer on Singer 2018. His English had improved by then. The English and Chinese songs in Singer 2017 were learned phonetically - but the judges were the Chinese audience members, who probably wouldn't pick up on pronunciation problems anyway.
