    The Matrix Reloaded. The Architect : "If I am its father, then she is most certainly its mother." Refering to the Oracle being the matix' mother. Hence, "mom."

    • @-M0LE
      @-M0LE 2 года назад +1

      @NolanEP he did say that and she was the original programme after the architect

    • @willgentry1980
      @willgentry1980 2 года назад

      @NolanEP he said "please" in reference to the name 'the oracle'. That was always my understanding. Oracle is one hell of a title to give someone

  • @barclay1990
    @barclay1990 3 года назад +31

    My interpretation of why Agent Smith lost was because they said in Reloaded that a programme could choose to return to the source to be deleted, or Exile. So when Smith copied himself onto Neo whilst he was jacked in at the source, he inadvertently made to connection and the machines could delete him.

    • @davidr3146
      @davidr3146 3 года назад +4

      Not only that Barclay, but remember in movie two they mention that Neo carries a code that is neseccary to reboot the matrix. Well when Smith copied the Oracle he took the codeing she had to predict the future. So that means when Neo got copied Smith also took the code for the matrix reboot. So when Smith completed his task of killing Neo he was sent to the Mainframe and was deleted but took the code with him which is why the matrix was rebooted.

    • @glennwelsh9784

      @@iainsteele5737 I think he's trying to say that because Neo was plugged into the Source, the Machines were able to disseminate his code to reboot the Matrix, burning Smith out of the system in the process.
      But there's another explanation. The Oracle describes Smith as Neo's opposite and that one cannot exist without the other. If one is destroyed, the system balances itself out by destroying the other. So once Smith took Neo over and killed him, Smith essentially sealed his own fate. The system balanced the equation and purged Smith.

    • @soarux1054
      @soarux1054 2 года назад

      Agent Smith had become free from the source therefore was unable to be destroyed. In the end, Neo makes a choice to negotiate peace between humans and machines. By plugging into the matrix directly at the source, and allowing Smith to overtake his body, he reestablishes Smiths connection with the direct source, allowing him to finally be deleted, and preventing him from destroying the machine and human worlds. The machines carry Neos body with great respect for him. The attack on Zion is called off, honouring the peace treaty between Neo and Deus Machina; ending the war between humans and machines. When the matrix is rebooted, humans are now given a choice to be freed if they wish to do so

    "Everything that has begginng has an end, "NEO." Remember, Smith would only refer to Neo as Mr. Anderson. Neo realized this was the Oracle speaking through Smith. Hence, we hear the change in the music and Neo gets up to allow himself to be copied.

    At the time of release, the first one was mind blowing. Absolutely my favorite visit to the movie theater ever, having gone in totally blind. The sequels don't suck, but I don't think I'll ever appreciate them as much as the original.

    Actually Locke had a point about the EMP. The second the ship showed up the sentinel's were leaving because the EMP changed the situation. Just having the EMP as an option would have been better then using it. The Machines would have to come up with a new plan because of the EMP, and would have bought them more time.

      @@AlexFilmsYT Agreed. His name also relates to a French dynasty line that thinks they are descended from Christ. Regarding him in the movie, and one I subscribe to knowing how many times the Matrix has been rebooted, is that he is a prior The One (and Persephone is a prior Trinity), hence why they traffic creatures/programs from prior iterations and why Persephone wanted to feel the love Neo/Trinity had in Reloaded ("i used to know what that felt like").

    No Neo didn’t kill Smith. Neo realized at the end that Smith’s purpose was Neo. So once Neo died the Matrix deleted Smith since the Matrix created Smith.

    I think you missed the spiritual journey analogy. Buddhists and Hindus have believed that the true nature of reality lies beyond the ego and material world. Buddha's and yogis transcend the physical and join the 'one' universal consienceness. They are driven by compassion and love. Trinitys love for Neo meant he was able to realise his full potential. Her body died but her love lived on in Neo and was all that mattered.

      The Wachowskis did float an idea while writing these 2 films together that Smith was THE ONE as he was a difference. If you listen to the Architect with this in mind you can see the theory behind it. They also said they wished they made the Merovingian line about the Oracles eyes can only be given not taken more prominent as many people missed it in how the Oracle tricked Smith into copying her was part of her plan obviously by talking through him to Neo at the end
