Edit: Also, the ending shot inside the Matrix was the first time the color grade wasn't skewed green and had the full color spectrum.

The Oracle changed because the actress who played her died before filming the 3rd part of the Matrix.

Gloria Foster passed away prior to filming Revolutions began. Mary Alice replaced her as they had both acted together in the past. Sadly Mary passed away last year at 86. May she rest in piece. To facilitate the changeover the Meriovingin goons managed to do harm to the Oracle. The train man has watches on his wrist.
Neo realized in that moment he had to sacrifice himself to allow the Architect to get a hardline into the Smith virus so he could delete it, saving both humans and machines. Neo was already hardlined in by the Architect so it just took Smith copying himself onto Neo.
When Neo went thru the door to see the architect he was the only one out of the previous chosen ones to not choose to reboot the system therefore the whole 3rd movie was all new territory. He chose to save Trinity instead and that door was the total destruction of Zion with no reboot. No pulling 16 women and 8 men to start the whole thing over. So it was all new territory for everyone.
However with this decision made by Neo...one thing u have to realize is Neo never stops evolving. When he stopped the sentinels and those bombs from blowing the ship up in the real world, he was able to do that because when he went thru the door and came out he was then connected to the source. Connected to the mainframe. Its like...he got the wifi password from the architect. Thats why he could feel them now. And also all the yellow he saw were the things connected to the source/the mainframe. Reason being he could see.
So yea he had became connected to the machines system mainframe.
As for the Oracle, she explained that she had to bargain and give up her shell for a new one but in reality, it was because the original actress passed. May she continue to rest in peace.
I love how this franchise is so romantic hehehe those two would do ANYTHING for each other.
overthinking the Oracle being different. unfortunately the original actress passed away is why the recasting. its not as deep as you may think it was, or also i could be as deep as you thought 🤔

The original Oracle actress had died so she got recasted and with story of the Oracle helping neo get the key maker she was punished to look different!!

The Matrix fandom is very devided about it, a lot of people hate it, and a lot of people love it! And its, as usual, a real "wait WHAT!?" mind trip!

Oh ... no no no ... if you love the Matrix trilogy, then just leave it with the three movies. I am a huge fan of the Matrix and i regret to have watched the 4th one ... never will understand why it was produced. adds nothing. is missing so much of the heart and soul on which the matrix was founded. just don't watch it. it is like game of thrones s7 and s8 ... don't watch it and you will enjoy what was before :) #GoT-S1-S6 #Matrix1-3

@@swissb00m96It's much worse that GOT S7/S8. Those seasons were just poorly executed and rushed, but they are definitely watchable. Matrix Resurrections on the other hand, is not just poorly made, but has a terrible unoriginal story. It feels like it was primarily made to be another propaganda movie for Diversity/Inclusion, females kick ass/white male denigrated weak and useless, woke bullshit.
The movie is an abomination, and as you correctly pointed out, shouldn't have been made.
I second your advice: Do Not Watch.

You should watch The Animatrix if you want more backstory.
In case u missed the metaphors and allusions: Matrix is essentially reimagining the Bible and Jesus Christ.
Neo = new messiah, savior, “he fights for us”, sacrificing himself in a crucifix-pose, Smith is antichrist, Trinity (holy trinity), Cipher = lu-cipher (the betrayer from the first movie), Oracle saying “he will return”, Neo’s costume is designed to look like a catholic priest’s robe, Merovingian is also a biblical name, etc etc, numerous more, these are just from the top of my head.
And its not my speculations, mind you, all confirmed by the Wachowskis.
Neo let Smith to clone him for Ex Machina to get Smith's main code. The machine could then delete Smith and restore the Matrix
By the way, I love your response about this movie rather than other what YT channels did. Your response are reasonable and less funny faces than others to watch this tough movie
I never considered that, but I think it's also purpose that he was deleted. In the 2nd movie, Smith goes on a spiel about purpose creating them. Once Neo was their primary reason for existing, once Neo was removed, Smith had no more reason to exist because in the 3rd movie at the train station, it was mentioned that programs without purpose are deleted. I think it's both of our explanations.

A lot of people here are saying don't watch The Matrix 4. I really loved it but I'm a Matrix nut so I'm probably the exception. The film is very different from the others as it's very much about Neo and Trinity's love for each other. It leans heavily on the feminist messages and the stakes are very much about the two lead characters rather than this big epic story of the first three. I loved it as it's a film written and directed by a queer woman for other queer women lol. So just go in with that mindset and I'm sure you will enjoy it :)
Oracle had to lose her shell because she saved Sati from termination. Sati was important as per the Oracle. She paid the price for saving a purposeless program by giving her a purpose.
The next movie you have to watch is The Matrix Resurrections for sure.

@@Karadjanov Actually you're both correct. Once the actress died and they had to recast, they explained in the movie why she looks different. The Merovingian destroyed her outer shell with code he received from Sati's parents in exchange for allowing safe passage back into the Matrix for their daughter, but this was only after Sati's parents consulted with the Oracle and she allowed it to happen thus sacrificing her outershell because she knew how important Sati was for the future. She was able to find a new shell and continue living instead of being destroyed. So yes I'm not sure if they would have done that had the original actress not died, but they did explain it in the plot why the change happened.

Not really. You need to understand the purpose of the train station and programs within the Matrix. It's just part of the lore.
