Most Mac-based MDMs can lock devices, if the device was fully enrolled in Supervised mode - meaning the device has to be purchased and enrolled in ABM, and then your MDM.
@@VirtuaConsulting How about Microsoft Intune MDM? There are so many articles and written documentation regarding how to get started with Intune, and there are so many articles that seem to be tangents, too.
@@jprofessor321 Hey - thanks for the comment - since we are an Apple consultancy, InTune isn't really one that we do a lot of work with. But it's pretty solid for managing MS devices.
Should I keep an authentication app on my phone if it says that it can act as a FIDO ASM and can access authentication devices and create & delete FIDO registrations???
There is a lot to unpack here. FIDO is a security protocol. If you’re being asked to install this by the person who randomly texted you and wants to teach you about Crypto, Probably not. If your Relationship banker is asking you to install this to MFA your account, you’re probably safe.
Hi José - certain MDMs can. For example SimpleMDM allows you to deploy media via assignment group. It depends on the MDM and what you are doing. Check our their features here: docs.simplemdm.com/article/113-deploying-media
Unsolicited opinion - you could look at Hexnode. However we find that it's easiest to manage Android devices from within the Google Workspace administration.
Hi Dex - you should always assume yes, but they may not. Once the profile is on your phone, you can look at the things it's controlling. iPhones are different than computers in that respect that there are only limited things you can access - for example, they can't see your camera roll - but they can however disable your ability to see your photos app or camera app. Hope this helps.
Not sure what you mean @aymdesign4534 - do you mean there was MDM on a machine you somehow bypassed it? Usually you can work on a machine that has bypassed the Automatic Device Enrollment without any issues, but then it will not be in the MDM until you wipe the machine again.
Possibly - we've never used it. You do need to run it on your own server though. So it probably has it's ups and downs. If you are that small you may want to check out SimpleMDM
Hey, @dorothyopisa4575 - phones don't have admins (unless you mean a shared iPad). And most likely, the answer is no. Most devices, unless enrolled manually, can not have the MDM profiles just easily removed. You'd have to wipe the entire device.
Which MDM is best for a small and upcoming non profit organization using Mac and IOS phones? We do not necessarily have an IT person but I am taking the lead as I see we are using one apple ID to support about 5 phones right now and more iPhones and mac’s in the future. Each time I get a phone call or text, my coworkers are getting that same text or call/notifications either on their phones or Mac desktops.
I want to now set everything up so each employee and future employee can have the same set up through the organization it’s about a team of 15 right now at most
@@KingAdonis03 Thanks for reaching out. You should book time with us to discuss, but if it's that small and you have few things to push you can look at ABE, but we prefer Addigy or JAMF.

Hi Heidi - your best bet for something simple would be SimpleMDM - we love using it for iOS devices. However, if you are a personal user and not a business you won't be able to put your phone in full "supervised" mode - but you should still be able to manage most of things such as hiding the apps you don't want using the setup. Let us know if you need help!
That depends on how the phone was enrolled into the MDM. If it was automatically enrolled through something like Apple Business Manager (where the organization owns the device) the short answer is no.
Hi Young Malit - which MDM app. If it came from Samsung directly, it's probably a way for them to update your phone - but if you bought it third party I'd double check. Reach out if you have questions!

which apple developer account need for MDM for installing IPA ? individual or enterprise ?
To securely build apps for your own MDM, you need Enterprise. However, if you put your app up on the app store, an individual account _should_ work.

Honestly, depends on your needs. We really like Addigy because it has a Multi-tenancy, but we also use JAMF, SimpleMDM, Datto, and a few others.
