    The first Jurrasic Park had its creepy moments but Jurrasic Park 3 was a straight up horror film! From the spino peaking in through the plane window, the raptor trap, raptor snapping that guys neck, the raptor staying still in the tube until it moves its eye, this ptero walking out of the fog, the beginning where the boat got mysteriously mangled and crew vanished, the raptor in the dream and the creepy relentless nature of the spino! When people complain about Jurassic Park III being the worst in the series, they're mainly talking about the Spinosaurus vs. T-Rex fight. And I have seen people saying that the people who hate this movie are T-Rex fanboys and can't accept a new dinosaur. And honestly, I have to agree with them on that. Not everyone's favorite dinosaur can win. These people are forgetting that these are genetically modified dinosaurs. And they're not like the original animals. I mean, stuff like this is sounds like the people complaining about how George Lucas ruined their childhood's with the prequels. So childish.

I always it pathetic to see people constantly whining about something(specifically a kids entertainment media) they loved as kids is somehow ruining their childhood just because it's not what they expected. @hiattgrey9161 Nah, it's not necessarily about the Spino vs. T-rex fight.
      Most fans who *LOVED* the first two movies (myself included) have quite a few pretty good reasons to dislike this one, such as:
      - Lazy name. It's literally the only sequel in the franchise to have a frickin' *number* in the title.
      - Awfully disappointing follow-up to Alan and Ellie's arc.
      - Lame story.
      - Unlikable characters.
      - Inferior score.
      - That dream sequence where the feathered raptor goes "Alan!".
      - Cartoonishly intelligent raptors that not only seem to have *a solid understanding of tissue preservation techniques,* but also snap people's necks just to show how "evil" they are.
      - That trope with the phone ringing from inside the Spinosaurus' stomach.
      - Some terrible changes in the dino designs, like the raptors and those *monstrous* Brachiosauruses.
      - Boring "family drama" moments.
      - That raptor flute thing.
      - Probably the worst, most *anticlimactic* ending in the entire franchise.
      Having said that, even I gotta admit the aviary scene was pretty awesome. 👍🏻

      @@nutroll1622 sorry to disappoint you, but these elements have been added to justify those bs they showed in the “World” movies. That Spinosaurus was designed according to the knowledge of the time with (more than) some artistic license to have a new super predator worth the title of “T. rex killer”. There is nothing in behind the scene documentaries and movie commentary that confirms the pokémon-style concept of the shitty sequels we have today. THose were dinosaurs as intended in the JP universe, books included, that is, clones of the mesozoic beasts, whose phenotype perfectly matched that of the real mesozoic animals they were cloned from. No tinkering with genes from different animals to create the perfect no-dinosaur in a dinosaur movie. I know you are just repeating what the viral campaign has been repeating since the release of JW but honestly that was all a made-up, incoherent chit-chat they wrote down to give the fans a little bit of logic in the unlogic series of events that took place among the movies.

      Oh my god, thank you! I'm so glad to see you say that. That's EXACTLY how I feel. One of my criticisms of Jurassic World was the portrayal of the dinosaurs. I didn't like how the Raptors and the T-Rex were essentially the 'heroes' of the movie. It made them feel far less threatening...cheapening their role as monsters throughout the series. I was so glad when Fallen Kingdom went back to that. Even though most Jurassic fans seem to hate that movie, for whatever reason, it made the dinosaurs scary again. As a matter of fact, it was pretty heavy on horror atmosphere. I think it's by-far the darkest movie in the series, and the closest we've gotten to Jurassic Park being a horror film.

    • @minanfranco
      @minanfranco 3 года назад +7

      @@SlasherIncorporated Yes, in the original movie the only heroic moment was when Rexy saves the protagonists from the raptors, but I think it's okay because it doesn't take away the intimidation of the Rex. I haven't seen Fallen Kingdom since the first time I saw it, but in my case, I don't really like the movie because, although dinosaurs are intimidating again, the plot feels very recycled, and there is the issue of hybrids, I feel that they were exploiting it too much, the Indominus Rex does not seem creative in design to me, a hybrid gives you possibilities to be spectacular, but the I-Rex is not much different than any theropod, it looks like a Giganotosaurus with elongated arms and crocodile teeth, and then nothing else ... And the Indo Raptor was even worse, it is literally a miniature I Rex, and it is even more similar to the Raptors. And again the raptors are once again Pokemon-style heroes. And the cloned girl is the worst character in the movie, she's a total jerk. And I would not rule out the possibility that in Dominion AGAIN humans and dinosaurs must join forces to defeat a greater threat. Even if Fallen Kigndom recovered a bit of the original essence, it still feels like an adventure of bad vs good, none of that felt in the original trilogy, everything was human vs the two islands of dinosaurs, there were no emotional ties between the animal most dangerous in the world and a human.

    • @overlex
      @overlex 2 года назад +49

      I’ll tell you why:
      JW’s CGI was just too “polished”, “fluid” and “clean”. reptiles, felines and birds have 2 ways of moving: sluggish and abrupt, there’s rarely an in-between. I’ve had pets of many diff. Species. JW’s dinos moved fluidly like water, so it feels weird looking at a predator constantly moving like a canine.
      Also, some wild animals and reptiles are rather dirty and murky or lightly scarred and rough, for camouflage and ambush purposes, to blend in with the foilage; Spielberg’s designers understood that. It’s why all the dinosaur skins in JP look like they’re made of rock or wood; rough textures like crocs or birds, instead of the clean shiny primary-ish colours in JW; JP’s dinosaurs look REAL to our mind’s eye because of this subtlety.
      A good animator isn’t someone good in computers making art; it’s an artist who can use computers.

      The only animals that act like mindless beasts are the hybrids, which makes sense in the context of the movie.

      World has the animals act realistically as well, again, besides the hybrids
      Even in Dominion, you see the Rex and Giga have a short spat over a dead corpse that ends quickly because they know that the carcass isn't worth getting a potentially serious injury. That's very realistic animal behavior.

    Even though JP3 is weak this is definitely one of the best scenes from it and to me there's a giant hole in the Aviary in which some of the lost world Pteranadons left.

    I have to say when I watch this movie and I saw the bird cage from outside it was great, it appears in the first Jurassic Park Book so I really like to finally see it in a movie.
