50 years ago I drove with my little Moped to the next village to buy an LP I heard of. Couldn't suspect, that it would change my whole life....DEJA VU!
Fifty years ago I trudged through the woods with my old dog and when I got to the record store they said a guy in a moped just bought the last record. Been hold up in the woods ever since.
Knew David in the Byrds days. Yrs later, reacquainted in Santa Ynez. Like so many, missing ya DC. You were one of a kind, and the most wonderful voice, speaking and singing. You and BW had the best ears for pitch, tuning and being on key. ❤
Mr. Crosby was, IMO, the one in the Byrds and in CSN(&Y) with something to say. And as his work here, with the Lighthouse Band, and with Snarky Puppy confirm, he can make his music happen on his own, with wonderful players like these. Anyone longing for CSN again might want to consider moving on - let the man who was one of the primary definers of the sounds of the 60s and 70s do his thing. The music is his to do with it as he pleases. So is his life. And BTW, I think this and other clips with this band are tremendous. The vocal is killer. And so nice to 'meet' the band.
Weird shit?? Pretty damn fine songs, if you ask me. Some people don't like Crosby because he talks a lot, (ol' motormouth!...!) but you cannot deny his great abilities as a musician.
Had a dream a couple of years ago that I was at Crosby's house hanging with him and it was a lighthouse. When I woke up I looked all over to see if he really had one. Being Crosby you never know. Yes he made great music, my favorite is Lee Shore. Rest David you need it ol boy.
I just compared this version with the one they did last night 5-29-2019 in Virginia Beach, and the 5-29-2019 version was better both vocally and instrumentally. Perhaps it was because they had just returned from a 3-day break, or perhaps they've gotten better as the tour has progressed, but last night was one fine performance by some talented musicians--- each better as his/her craft than Croz (as he readily admitted), yet every song they played (but one, perhaps) was one Croz created or helped to create. David Crosby has made one helluva contribution to a body of music that has the staying power to last long after he's gone...
so i guess he plays about 5 or 6 songs during his concert... very laid back vibe. easy to go to the can or get a drink and not miss much. i actually like this better that CSN. Jeff has some tasty licks and the keys harmonies are almost as good as Nash, without any of the HUGE EGO.
In my humble opinion, the band is great, and they sing competently enough in harmony, but their voices have no uniqueness, especially in comparison with Nash and Stills. Crosby should hire some distinctive singers to tickle the ears of his listeners.
RIP David Crosby. You were a master of your craft and thank you for the decades of great music. ✌️❤️☺️🎸🎶🎤
I have always loved David Crosby, no matter what people say about him,he is sfill one of the greatest musicians of all time
He’s still got it. Those pipes man... after all that abuse, he still has it. God bless David.

Saw them in Clearwater two nights ago. David has surrounded himself with a top-flight group of musicians. Magical show!
"I always write the weird shit." -- David Crosby/// Yeah, you always write the best shit too, David.

Just saw him and his band here in Arcata, CA this past month. He's still got it!
Long may he live. May all the good muses wait at his beck and call and may he best them all.

Jeff Pevar. Most famous, at least in my mind, for his band Jazz is Dead. And yeah, he's good.

Wonderful, wonderful,but with Graham Nash it’s better!!!💎😘🤗
But without Graham Nash it is possible.

I see....
Ya just can't please everybody...but we make Croz
