    First of all, I want to start with a big thank you.Our TV, Nu7400, had the same problem. At first, there was an atmosphere of excitement and panic in the house.Then with a little internet searching we came across this helpful video of yours.We have repaired our television by doing the steps you have shown. I'm really thankful that the problem was with the pins.I give a 10 for this helpful video. Good luck in your life.Greetings from Türkiye

    After viewing your video I knew this was my problem also, but I was kind of afraid to fix it myself so I figured I would let a repair shop do the fixing. I explained to him everything and I told him that I know the exact problem and its repair solution. But that POS THIEF wanted to charge me $175,00 dollars. He told me all kinds off bullshit lies.
    Anyway I decided to try it myself, so low and behold, I fixed it just as you explained it on this video.
    So I truly and humbly thank you.
    May God always keep you and family in his blessed care and love.
    Stay safe, stay strong, good luck and Godspeed always to one and all

    We have exactly the same model of tv which had developed the same fault. Opening it without the tool was a bit tricky, but we found that a cutlery knife did the trick ( made sure power was off for safety!!). We put a bit of thin sellotape at around the 10th/11th pin in from the edge on the same area as was shown to be successful in this video. Works perfectly!! I'm unable to see any type of deteriation in overall picture quality, no dead lines or faded areas etc. Your video has done the trick, thanks for posting this video.

    A big Thank You for providing this extremely informative video that has helped so many people solve this issue. I just encountered it two days ago on a Samsung UN50NU6500B TV. I tried every fix I could find posted on RUclips. Eventually, after giving up, I went to bed, and as I was dozing off, I saw a link to your video. That gave me the motivation to try again the next day. I followed your instructions exactly, and now my TV is working OK again. It's not perfect. There is a slight tinge of blue-green at the upper and lower left corners of the screen but it is very small, and only noticeable when certain colors are in the foreground. I was preparing to fork out 340 dollars for a replacement, (my MIL can't live without her daily dose of crime serials!), but, thanks to your very accurate guidance, all it took was quite literally a tiny sliver of tape 6mm wide and about 2 cm long, exactly where your video indicated.

    Wow, i can't believe this worked. My TV has been on for 10 minutes now with no jumping picture. The pins I taped we're the opposite to the ones in this video; mine were the bottom ribbon cable, bottom portion. Thanks a million, you've saved me from having to get a new TV for now 😊

      @grantwebster4547 Год назад

      What tape did you use?

    • @darrengourley9484
      @darrengourley9484 Год назад

      @@grantwebster4547 everyday cello tape. Nothing fancy. I found that I didn't need to be that accurate when taping it to the pins, unless I just got lucky. It did take a few attempts to find the affected pins though. The width of the cello tape was about 10 pins long, so about half a cm. (I think).
      Best trying to get a setup like this guy in the video. I pulled an extension cord that had a switch on it over to the sofa where I had the TV. You'll have it on and off a few times no doubt.
      I also found that my power cable clicked in, so was quite difficult to remove. In fact I near pulled the board off the TV when trying to remove it. So when removing the power cable, push down on the board to avoid that.
      Just to confirm, the TV has been on for a total of about 10 hours since I did this, and still no flickering.

    • @grantwebster4547
      @grantwebster4547 Год назад

      @@darrengourley9484 wicked thanks for that. What does it actually do the tape

    • @darrengourley9484
      @darrengourley9484 Год назад

      @@grantwebster4547 I don't know the whole story, but I'm assuming that the signal coming from those pins is conflicting with something else (perhaps it's out of sync) and causing the flickering. I believe the ribbon cable is only going to the screen, so it's only responsible for picture, but I might be wrong. You'll see that if you cover certain portions of pins, different parts of the screen go black.
      There's another thread on the Samsung site discussing this problem, and people are finding that certain chips are becoming overheated and they're trying to remove and replace them without much luck. I assume this is a way to disable the signal from those chips without having to remove them.
      I noticed as well that my TV runs alot cooler now. Before, it was quite warm to touch, especially along the bottom. Whatever this has done, it now runs cooler too. It's worth giving it a go. I was going to end up replacing it soon because of this problem anyway. So I'm looking at it like I've saved myself the cost of a new TV.

    The problem with this fix is that it is, by definition temporary. It only works because there is "redundancy" in the affected lines between the two sides. If one side goes, the other will most likely follow a few months later.
    Offload the set on some other poor mug once you've "fixed" it would be my suggestion - and never buy a Samsung set second-hand!

    I did this with my TV. I messed with it for a while and it still ended up looking dull on the left and great on the right side. BUT....what I noticed that was weird is, certain movies that I picked on Netflix, the whole movie looked great through the TV screen. Absolutely no color issues throughout the whole screen. But other movies I picked it would go back to the normal dull colors on the left and great colors on the right. It was like with some movies the TV was auto correcting the colors by itself. How in the world did it do that?? At first I thought the colors looked great because I picked a 4K movie. But that wasn't the case. Only in about 1 in 20 movies that I picked did it display the colors perfectly throughout the TV. With everything else, I still have color issues. I'm just curious why the TV would almost auto correct the colors like that for specific movies??
