Metallica fan here. This is the best rendition of this song I’ve ever heard. It is very cleverly done. Most of the parts that are supposed to be loud are softened and vice versa. Adding an own extra bridge and then killing it off with a piece of the original. The harmonies are bone chilling and Dany’s gritty growling á la Hetfield. Goosebumps every time!
This version was created, with Alessia Cara, for Metallica's Blacklist album. It is her voice track you hear in the background during the song. I'm sure other TWA members will give you more detail.
The all-female, J-metal bands kick ass these days too. Nemophila, Lovebites, Band-Maid, Hanabie (just 3... wait!.. 4 Musketeers for a mini starter-pack)... and couple dozens more...
DPA/TW and Alessia Cara certainly understood the assignment! Alessia Cara is a Grammy winning Canadian Pop and R&B singer... they had 10 days to rip this rendition of *Enter Sandman* from the ether and make it a darker, more eerie, and a more haunting lullaby than the original metal version... this was done because they, and many other artists from numerous genres, were invited by Metallica to take one of the songs from the original "Black" album, keep the lyrics and change it up how ever you like... play it backwards, upside down, whatever... this was all for the 30th anniversary of the "Black" album... all the submissions from 50someodd artists were put on the 2021 "The Metallica Blacklist" album... the proceeds from the album sales are split 50/50 with half going to Metallica's "All Within My Hands Foundation" and the other half being donated to a charity of the participating artists' choice. in the OMV, Dany (guitar) and Alessia share the lead vocals until they are in the three doorways when Dany takes over and Alessia does more of the background oooohs and aaaahs... the version they play in concert has Dany doing the vocals with a backing track of Alessia's ohhhs and ahhhs... of course Ale (bass) and Pau (drums) join in with their angelic harmonies in both... this is a fantastic reimagining of the iconic original... this 60+ year old rocker loves both versions of *Enter Sandman* but this one by TW and Alessia gets more airtime these days 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
Alessia Cara is a Canadian pop singer who collaborated with The Warning to produce this song for the Metallica Blacklist album during the pandemic. Because of travel restrictions during the pandemic she couldn’t travel to Mexico, so they collaborated over the internet. You can see more of her portion if you watch the official music video for this song. 😎👍
@@genboyer I think they use the track of her voice to be able to say "with Alessia Cara". They owe her this as this arrangement was done togetger with her.
@@genboyer -- I'm glad someone brought this up, that this arrangement was a collaboration with Alessia Cara, a promising Canadian pop singer, for a tribute album to "The Black Album" organized by the lads in Metallica a few years back. In normal circumstances the Warning would skip playing this song(to avoid paying royalties to Matallica and their record company) but -- by playing this Metallica-approved arrangement this way, Metallica gets paid for this performance.
Alessia and The Warning did get a chance to perform live together once after the restrictions of the pandemic was over. When The Warning performs Enter Sandman live it is without Alessia, but they have her prerecorded background vocals, the haunting wailing you hear. Dany, always remembers to mention Alessia as being part of this when they perform it live. Look for the music video to see Alessia singing with The Warning. Have fun at the concert. This time you don’t have to contain yourself, Inna. SCREAM!!!
Oh, woman... I want to see your reactions to TW's other songs from their concert at the Metropolitan theater, but here on YT, please Your enthusiasm and emotionality is contagious... I want more!! They are the queens of the hook, the riff, the contagious rhythms, catchy melodies, the harmonies and the ambiguous but profound messages… The new masters of rock: The Warning. 🤘😁✌️
I did publish months ago my first reaction to Animosity from the same concert :) Here it is: The Warning - ANIMOSITY Live at Teatro Metropolitan | FIRST TIME REACTION ruclips.net/video/vJfMKpg-nI8/видео.html
Alessia Cara actually did come on stage during the second of two consecutive nights at the Troubadour, in West Hollywood, California. I was there for that surprise appearance! Enjoy your upcoming live The Warning experience!
Nice Reaction! As others have said, they did this song for Metallica's Blacklist Album which Metallica put together for the 30th Anniversary of the Black Album. Metallica wanted bands to make the songs their own and not to play them just like Metallica plays them, which is what The Warning did. Where are you going to see The Warning? Their Website shows them going to Europe in April.
Ey, amiga. The Warning nos une.
When I saw The Warning live. My voice started to go horse by the third song. Yelling & singing will do that. Oh. Have fun. And don't get *SiCK.* The Warning needs your help singing with them. *SiCK Live:* ruclips.net/video/D0Zlz-7Zyf4/видео.html .

@@InnaSoloMusic Yea, followed for about 8 years, and finally getting to see them live in Birmingham, UK! Hope you enjoy the show - which one are you attending? 😊
You may already know by now, but Alessia Cara was on the studio version of this track that was on the Metallica Blacklist Album. Bits of her voice are played on tracks in this live version.
The Warning had another great honor this past Friday. They were on the Shiprocked cruise and did a set Monday and Friday afternoon. The cruise closes with an all star jam session. The Warning and Steel Panther were chosen to close the cruise with Highway to Hell as the shows encore. The last minute or so they were joined on stage by members of many of the bands on the cruise.
Love your reactions and your beautiful personality! So excited for you to see them live! I hope you will be able to document it so we can come along for the ride and share the excitement of the experience! ♥️
This is how you do a cover. The essence of the original is still there, but it is completely different. I might be a bit biased being an Aussie but in my humble opinion there is another cover song you need to scope out - Help (originally by the Beatles) performed live by John Farnham with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra - it is so good the Beatles conceded he did it better than they did.
First of all, I really appreciate your reaction to this Inna clip, even though it's a Metallica cover, if I could suggest a song to react to, I would suggest the song Hero by the band Skillet and I think you'll like the song clear eyes, Anyway, continue with the work you are doing and Brazilian greetings to you Ukrainian who lives in Italy!
This what happens after Metallica turns off the lights and close the door. The Warning and Alessia lead you through this dark and creepy tour of Neverland. It's no longer a prayer; it's a mocking taunt.
