The live version of „Kül“ (ruclips.net/video/UCnT93FtrG8/видео.html) is so much better than the original. He transfers so much emotion in that song you don‘t even need to know the songtext to understand the feelings behind it. He definitly is one of the greatest in TR.

Music and lyrics of this beautiful song were belonged to Ali Kızıltuğ (1943-2017), was Turkish folk singer. His surname meaned ''Red plume'' in Turkish. Finally I translated lyrics of it into English: Between us, there are mountains and seas I'm saying ''I can't come'', of of You're saying ''you come'' It snowed on roads, footprints were covered up Footprints were covered up I'm saying ''I can't find (the right path)'', of of You're saying ''You find it'' You don't think that our love is a fuss in your opinion How many troubles you left behind, of of They are in row Oh you're not here, Ankara is lonely Ankara is without you I'm saying ''I can't stop'', of of You're saying ''You stop (in Ankara)'' My Kızıltuğ (Red plume in Turkish), is it spring or summer ? Which pen has written, of of My destiny ? My troubled saz which is my confidant My troubled saz I'm saying ''I can't play it'', of of You're saying ''You play it''
Fazil Say, Insan Insan vocals are also mostly Cem Adrian. btw, and yes his voice is so flexible and broad he can mix throat singing without giving a clue. I think best to describe it, he is first a theatrical vocal performer, more than a singer.
Your comments are very professional and I love the way that you’re trying to observe all the details. Also the first cem adrian video and the Sebnem Ferah video were awesome. Keep on with the Turkish singers 😁😁
Wow, it's that musical refinement with so many nuances, rained on by melancholy, reminding me of hot desert sand and a coppery sun, that I can hear in Turkish voices of talented singers like Cem Adrian and Sebnem Ferah, those whose voices I heard while watching your video teachings. (to me they are). An ancient culture is behind it, I believe.
Yeah but there's no desert in Turkey (or Anatolia). Not all eastern melodies relate in any way to the "desert". There are fertile countries with eastern music all over, Turkey, Iran, Azerbaijan, Greece, Romania, the Balkans, even going all the way to India and Pakistan if you consider that related to middle eastern melodies. So it's kind of inaccurate that Westerners always associate quarter tone scales to the "desert" while it exists in so many non-desert countries.
bu şekilde sizi böyle etkilemesi çok güzel bir şey. birde şarkı sözlerinin anlamını çok iyi bilerek dinleme şansınız olsa eminim daha daha çok seveceksiniz.
I am making this comment with google translate. sorry for the mistakes. The genre of this music is folk song. For years we have listened to the same rhythm from men and women with deep voices. Cem did something different here and it was very nice. Folk songs are important to us. We cry, we rejoice, we dance. this is sad. "I say I can't come, you say come." '' Thank you for your interest in Turkish music.
Thank you for the wonderful analysis. I wish you could understand the lyrics too. Translations just don't cut it. The content and the form fit together perfectly. This is actually a migration song. It's about being separated from your loved ones. It is an old song that was given a new twist without tarnishing the spirit of the song. The literal and the figurative are mixed in this song. He sings: Mountains and seas are between us (literally, because it's about migration and being separated from your loved ones). I tell you that I can't come (literally). You tell me to come (figuratively) Meaning: my heart tells me to go to you. I tell I will not be able to find you, but you tell me to find you (meaning: my heart tells me to find you). This is an old Turkish song from a time where people migrated a thousand miles for work, where the loved ones did not always have a telephone within reach.
You should come to Turkey to meet him. It would be great. You can do an interview with him or make a video in another format you like. I think your Turkish community would love it and after that, it will rapidly grow.
With all my respect I laugh when you're expressing your thrills, with a little yell and a shake. With me it's the same, when I'm focussed on listening to a solo voice, or a Byzantine choir. Goosebumps, and energizing much. Singing has a very special effect on our energy, I find.

I am a big fan of Cem Adrian and I have watched many of his audio analysis videos and reaction videos so far. I can easily say that many people do not really understand what he is doing, including Turkish commentators. I've watched your videos over and over for the past few days. I want to tell you that you are really good at this job and you really understand Cem. Especially in the summertime video, as someone who hasn't listened to Cem before, the part where you guessed his real voice impressed me deeply. because that was a correct guess :) keep doing what you are doing you are really good at this job and please can i get some more cem analysis.
