I am 62 and had my Colon resection for Pre-Cancerous tumors done in October 2020. They told me all was good. Never had any other checkups. A few months ago I started having the same symptoms. They wanted CT Scans. They showed Cirrhosis and a 4cm find in my Liver that was completely healthy 2 years ago. I go to the doctor on tomorrow, they called Friday and want a PET Scan now. This scares the shit out of me. Your story has been the best story I have been able to wrap my head around. Thanks so much for sharing your story and giving me HOPE for the future. PS You must be pretty rich.
Hi James, thank you for sharing your story with me. Totally understandable to be frightened. I am sending your a hug and healing thoughts and prayers. I wish you a full recovery. Hang in there, my friend.
Good to hear that you are doing fine. I was diagnosed last year September with colon cancer stage 3. I had surgery and chemotherapie. The first scan results were good 🙏 but I have a long way to go. I now started to reintegrate at work and it will take a long time, more than a year, to get back to my normal schedule. I wish you all the best.
Glad to hear you're doing well. I was diagnosed with Rectal Cancer back in November 2022 and doing fantastic. Are you also doing Signatera in part of your surveillance?
So glad I stumbled across your videos. I was originally diagnosed stage 3 in April 2021. I had a right hemicolectomy followed by 6 months of chemo. I was NED up until last week when they found a tumor in my liver…that was a shock to me as I thought I beat this disease. So now, hoping I can qualify for a liver resection. Thanks for sharing your positive spirit with us!
I was so happy to see your new vid pop up in my feed this morning. You're almost two years ahead of me on your stage 4 colon cancer journey, and have been a sort of 'guiding light' as I navigate these rough waters. Glad to see you are doing so well, and still thinking your characteristically 'deep thoughts'. hahaha. I love Eckhart Tolle's 'Power of Now' as well... had a huge impact on my life several years ago before the cancer challenge began. All the best, sir!!!
Hey Ken, thanks for reaching out. You are in the thick of it. Keep going, my friend. Keep pressing forward and taking it one day at a time. Wishing you a full recovery.
Si happy for you, your hepling me brother , I’m colorectal stage 4 métastases in my liver , just finished second round of folfox , 6 to go then liver surgery, i hope , and then … well you know . Thank again ❤
Hey brother, thanks for sharing. Keep doing what you gotta do, one treatment at a time. It can be tough sometimes but you know the path. Sending you love and prayers for a full recovery.
stage 4 colorectal. Spred to my liver as well. Had sigmoid removed did 18 round of full dose chemo Getting clear scans since November of 22 dr is keeping me on 1 week on and 1 week off treatment pills are nothing hard compared to the iv chemo tho keep going man you can do it I pray i can eventually also stop with the pills. Ive seen every single one of your vidios also😅. Ive got foggy brain from pills tho srry if i dont make any senses or you know
So nice to see you back! You definitely offer a unique, deeper level perspective than is the norm and I absolutely can relate to it. Although cancer has not been my challenge, I have also been taken to my knees by health issues that had me facing death head-on. While I would like to believe that I have done a sufficiently thorough analysis of self insofar as soul-searching goes, you always inspire me to question if there is even more to discover and learn from those most challenging times in life. . May your journey forward continue to bring good health news while you keep getting stronger and fitter. Take care, Joseph. 💪💜 Karen
Hi Karen, thank you so much for reaching out! I hope you are well and in good spirits. These things force us to take a hard look at ourselves and what our lives are about. Take care and do stay in touch!
I have been waiting for an update,I'm so happy U are here and doing well 💗 always praying for U even if we don't even know each other .I have been following from the beginning and will always be here 🙏
Hi joseph, thank you for update I was waiting on your progress as I have stage 4 rectal cancer. Had chemo, liver surgery and radiation with oral chemo. Diagnosed in 2022. Last scan june 2023 ned. I am scheduled for ct dna was wondering if that has been part of your follow-up plan? Lastly I pray you continue with good healing and health I hope you continue to talk about life post treatment as some say ptsd can result from a year of turmoil. Thank you again for update!
Congrats on your NED! I was diagnosed stage 3 and after surgery and treatment Jan 2022, had both CEA and signatera Ctdna tests every three months for surveillance. Although my CtDNA tests were negative, they just found that my cancer came back and metastasized to my liver. So please don’t rely too much on these newer blood tests.. I believe CEA and CAT scans are the only ones you can trust.. just my 2 cents
Hi joseph my mouth dropped hearing your set back. I'm in shock and so discouraged with this disease and how tricky it is to keep at bay. I even mentioned that I can't wait to have port removed. I'm receiving treatment in boston blood test this Thurs so your feedback has come at the right time. If you need any information about liver resection please reach out to me. I will support you in your journey. I will keep you in my thoughts snd prayers. Thank you for your 2 cents!
@@LisaBalentine-g3q not sure what your name is but mine is Ray. I was just responding to Joseph (above) but recently told my cancer came back and spread to my liver. My understanding is that a liver resection is the “gold standard” and best possible option for cure or prolonged life. My concern is that I researched that most don’t qualify for resection either (which scares me). All I know is that my lesion is in segment 8 of liver which sounds difficult to resect. I appreciate any feedback you might have. Thanks
Hi Ray, My name is Lisa. Stage 4 rectal cancer person. When they did my liver resection, it was areas section 1 and 2. They had to open me up and could not do laparoscopic surgery. While open, they saw 2 spots, and the biopsy came back clean. I had a great liver surgeon at Mass General in boston. I'm not sure if this information is helpful. I do remember them saying if it's in 1 spot, it makes surgery possible. Multiple spots are not good. Will be praying for you. surgery was tough emotionally, almost more than 6 months of folfuri. However only 2 days in hospital. You sound very informed just hope this info is comforting gor you.
