- Headed out to the surfside jetty on July first. Multiple heat advisories made me doubtful of fish activity but for my surprise we ended up with many delicious fish.

Those specks were beast mode! Hard to believe no people on Saturday, it must be too hot or the crabs
/shrimp are running, we drop fishing when the shrimp run along the shoreline and crabs are pilled up
at the marshes. Thanks again for the regular updates on your jetty trips, lots of action as always.
I think people thought it was going to be super packed since it was during 4th of July weekend.

Yo this is becoming one of my fav channels to see what's up! I wonder...if wearing golf cleats or something like that would work to nullify the algae on the slippery rocks. When I'm closer to shore I hate how there so much rock between you and the water and you gotta heave the fish up when landing sometimes. Assuming the water is not too rough, it would be nice to get down there closer.

How do you not get hung on bottom at the jetties?? Nice fish man. I get hung hp fishing mid way I guess that far out is better
We do get hung up on the bottom sometimes. Just try to cast as far as possible.

If you hold the fish closer to the camera, it will grow about 5 more inches.

Best time to fish jetties? Dawn or dusk or doesn’t matter too much most of the time?
Time doesn’t matter but I find that we have the best luck when the tide is moving.

Sadly the rod I’m using in the video is discontinued but the reel is the Shimano spheros 10,000

Those ain’t the big mamas. Don’t get me wrong they are big but there are much bigger trout out there. We release anything over 25 unless seriously hurt

We got there at 12 and left at 6
That big trout really should have let go back in the water that was a spawner....
