- We headed out to the surfside jetty, despite multiple heat warnings being advised. We quickly got on a hot mangrove snapper bite.

Love these mangrove whacking videos. I am making a trip down there soon, when this heat lifts up. I work overnights and it will kill
me to be on those rocks during the day. I like catching those snappers because they pull like medium stripers up here at my lake,
love that action on light tackle, the mangroves taste way better. Late Sept to November is when those big mangroves move in
to eat.
November and September are my favorite months to fish!

It all depends on the wind. Port A is a very windy place but if you get lucky you should have a good bite they are much bigger down there too !

Do you bleed the mangroves? I’ve definitely noticed a difference in meat quality when they’re bled and iced 👍🏽
Sometimes we do sometimes we don’t. Depends on the mood 😂 definitely helps keep them fresh
