- Heading out to the Surfside jetty, I was looking to catch some Spanish mackerel since the weather has been nice and the water has cleaned up. To my surprise, we ended up catching more than just Spanish mackerel.

Great Action! I see it is more crowded than before, with cooler temps next week, it will probably be more people. So nice to see the jetty
packed with people, lots of good eating fish for everyone. I like that new rod, it look so light and sensitive, the backbone is holding it's
own having less material.
I like it too. Very impressed with the quality for the price. And yeah I expect more people out there as we go into September and October. Usually the water is cleaner this time of year too.

Is 10 lb. "Ultralight" now? Guess I've been fishing super ultralight.
It’s subjective to what fish you are targeting if you are targeting reds from the end of the jetty 10lb is ultra light. If you are targeting reds in the marsh or from a boat. 10lb is not ultralight
What type you reel and line are you using to catch the redfish jettyman? Have to use the net. Lol
