just picked up a Penn Rampage 7'6" heavy/fast action and paired it with a Quantum Optix60, 80lb braid and a 6/0 circle hook. hoping it gets the job done. after giving 2 2piece 7' rods with reels to a neighbor i was down to 11 rods but now im back to an even dozen. lol.
I love the medium havey ugly stick rods and the medium havey Abu Garcia rods I also love the Abu Garcia spinning reels and the penn pursuit 3 reels 🎣👍🏼💛
What other two piece rods are there instead of the ninja dagger 8’6 or 9ft medium light? I’ve looked and have had a hard time or just ensure. I’m looking to pair with Penn spinfisher 6500. Is medium fast the same as medium light?
Imagine not gettting a heavier pole cause it hurts your shoulder bro like it’s not even that bad it’s barely heavier and makes little difference it’ll build your shoulders

How about a 9ft penn fierce with a 6000 for surf and pier fishing.
30lb braid with a 30lbs leader fishfinder rig.

Yea it probably could the problem is you hook a big one then eh can take you under the pier, that’s why I pick a 6k just in case
The ninja dagger 8ft 6 has a lure rating 1/2 to 1.5 oz. Is that enough for throwing big lures ?
Yea I been throwing 2oz lures on it no problem at all with it
