Would you do Buganda ==> Kitara run? I know that Buganda has Interlacustrine ideas, but Buganda seems to be the natural candidate to form Kitara, which has unique national ideas. To be honest, I am asking for it, because I am thinking about going for Victorian Three achievement, and I am not sure what would be the optimal setup. :p
If you lose all the estates when you become a pirate republic why not give out all the privelges that give you instant benefits, like the monopolies and loans
I think it's fair to ALT+F4 when you declare a war by an accident, it can literally destroy your entire playthrough and it's not like you did anything to deserve that
About Austria coring Praha, the emperor can core any province inside the HRE regardless of the distance / if linked. That's why you can core holstein or neumark with the imperial ban cb (if poland takes it) and expand there after. Nice video as always !
since you asked: You're literally doing the Mr Evil pose in the picture Also your shaved your hairline into a sharp line, which is associated with gangs in the US And yeah, a moustache with no beard is generally considered villain facial hair Edit: i just saw the photo on Laith's community tab, I was looking at Zlewik's photo on twitter before The moustache is like 80% of what makes you look like a villain.
Augsberg's first three letters are like a combination of the chemical symbols of Gold (Ag) and Silver (Au), so it's only logical that you should have to conquer every gold producing province in Europe and Tafilalt
The portrait from 14:01 that you say you have never seen before has been in the game since Rights of Man, its one of the 2 possible Russian Master Recruiter portraits. You get them as a russian cultured nation or from events if you Border, Rival or Ally with a Russian nation.
Good job. The last war was nasty. Augsburg was a major financial centre through banking and the Imperial post service so maybe try to have the richest trade node in Europe.
It's all of it, combined you make the perfect James Bond Villain. Not one of those scummy ones, but the cool ones that you're like "Damn, he beat me.. And he looked so bad ass doing it!"
I think it would be fun to go for Augsburgs unique achievement Fugger Banking if you don’t have it already but I don’t know if you would have enough time to finish it by the time you normally end A-Z videos around the 1550s
I know it's a longgg way down the line but the challenge for Sweden should be: conquer the Swedish Empire's borders, declare on poland/PLC, Russia/Muscovy and Denmark, go down to -50% WS and recover to 95% WS, then unconditionally surrender after 8 years.
I discovered the centre of trade upgrade mission reward "issue" when playing Mali. After considering it, 2 base production is still pretty good, but was hoping it would circumvent the Dev requirement for upgrading to a level 3 centre of trade. Would be very exploity though, like you can do with some of the monument upgrade mission rewards
The infrastructure button, especially with the new dev discount on it, is really useful for pumping out navies. I used to play pirate Crete and get my dev to 75 and max expand infrastructure - and the speed at which I was pumping out boats felt only a tad slower to the speed of the real-life venetian arsenal, which could make a ship a day. Pirate Crete was doing about 1 ship every 14 days and at that rate your navy is unstoppable - Gotland can do even better. (slight waste of mana? Of course. But it was quite fun. Being behind on miltech didn't matter) Couple that with the pirate ability to easily be over thrice your naval cap when at war due to blockades and still turn a tidy profit and you have fun - bonus points for having no army most of the time to bait people into attacking you.
I wonder, if you could have get the Ottomans as your ally for the last war. Did you try and they just didn't like you enough, or did you focus on the more northern countries as your allies?
Hungary joining the HRE isn't new, it's an event Austria gets that let's them decide to hold an incident to have Hunary join or have relations with them degrade, I got it once in the previous update (was first time playing Austria for me actually), I have not seen it since so ig it must be pretty rare
Hungary joining the HRE is usually an HRE event triggered by Austria or Hungary allowing Hungary to join the HRE, if its a free Hungary and you triggered event then a good 70% of the time you wont get in vise versa Austria
Yo!!! I figured out the new playing tall meta. Play a republic (I played Dithmarschen), go Trade-Pluto: means + 20 loyalty for Burghers. With Economic, Protestant and the -5% from Pluto + loyal burghers there’s your -30% dev cost back
Hey Hawk thanks to you saying "celebrating the release of 1.34", we now know that you are from Australia/NZ as only there was 13.09 at the time you released the video 🤓
It’s being bald and the mustache that make you look like a supervillain. To me, you look kind of like the bowler hat guy in meet the Robinson’s, in a good way.
Did none of Lübeck's allies have an ally outside of the HRE? If you co-belligerate a nation in the HRE while the main enemy isn't in the HRE the Emperor isn't called in, even if it's a free city. Hamburg was allied to Sweden, wasn't it?
I understand why you're playing eu4 now, that's so you can free yourself from your conquest obsession, your true villain identity 😂 and I know that's kinda bald to assume-

Oh yeah, Augsburg got a new idea set, for some reason
If you lose all the estates when you become a pirate republic why not give out all the privelges that give you instant benefits, like the monopolies and loans
huh, I'd never thought of that
Usually people only think about estates at the very beginning of the game
Monopoly meta op
You can only give one monopoly as a OPM and you would only earn 3 ducats so meh
@@etienneleblanc755 But you can get the estate loans and sell crown lands before getting rid of them, which means free money.
Estate loans don't go away even if you lose the estates

You don't really look like a super villain. More like a Slavic gangster 🤣
Good job. The last war was nasty.
Augsburg was a major financial centre through banking and the Imperial post service so maybe try to have the richest trade node in Europe.
Fun fact the leader of Gotland is the person who was king in Denmark until 1439, he resigned from the crown to become a pirate instead
It's all of it, combined you make the perfect James Bond Villain. Not one of those scummy ones, but the cool ones that you're like "Damn, he beat me.. And he looked so bad ass doing it!"
Göt means "ass" in turkish. This nation is my favourite so far.

Heyooo I live in Visby, the "main" town of Gotland. So cool to see them make Gotland unique in the game.
Gotland?! Pirates?!, This sounds incredible!
As Augsburg do the Fugger Banking achievement!
8:07 no you cant do that, big boss made it so it caps on lvl 2 so no more of upgrading before clikcing it gives nothing :/
As Augsburg you should become the real bank of Europe by conquering both Peru and Mexico for all that sweet gold
First raiding and then looking for allies is the veteran EU4 player thing to do
I thought you were a bird that could type.
Squawk
I think the baldness, mustache, and red shirt made everyone think you looked like Dr Robotnik
You look like a super villain because of the bald + mustache combo. You style of mustache is especially villainous looking.
Any chance of a continuation saving your disaster game on this save? Might be a quick one if you're ever low on time

The Gotland pirate republic triggers a major conflict in Europe including 3 major powers, thats a great plot :D
The legend, that was such an amazing success
Man checked out your twitter, you may look like a villain but you look cool doing it especially the one with the sunnies and the durry.
Emperor can core any hre province or hre adjacent one. Lil weird quirk of being an emperor
For Augsburg, form a theocratic Germany and get the PU over burgundy.
