Its so bloody refreshing to see a relatable build. No ridiculous sponsorship driven builds with unlimited budget. Nothing like not hearing “lets get into it” every three seconds! Great job Liam!
The DIY kings are at it again. Fantastic work and results. Love the B rolls you've included for the 70 Series. These little editing touches is what takes your episodes to the next level and utterly enjoyable to watch. Excellent work on the DIY. 👌👍
Another fab vid from you guys, bravo.👍👍👍 This is clearly and consistently the best and most realistic / practical 4X4 channel on RUclips… No agendas, bulls**t or boring know it all loudmouths, just a bunch of clued up young bloke having fun and living the dream… Keep doing your thing 😎
Another epic episode guys! What sets you apart from similar channels is when you install a new mod, it's not just thank the sponser and bolt it on. You fabricate the brackets, you strip and fit your own wiring and you bring us along for the ride. It's just like any backyard build we could do ourselves and this is what makes this great content for like minded enthusiasts! Looking forward to seeing it back on the tracks! 🚙🤘
Awesome work guys! Going to ride mint! Only thing grieving me is the unpainted winch etc since you spent SO much time make the rest of the car look mint. Draws your eyes to it instead of seeing the beauty of the car as a whole (and shes bloody gorgeous!)
Awsome video as always lads, that patrol is looking the shmick now, those toolboxes finish it off. That block and tackle set up youve got looks a handy piece of kit to have too. Keep up the good work boys
That grande winch, that's the first video that got me hooked on this channel when Liam was restoring it. 🤣 always loved every video since, so much progress since then, keep up the great work guys. Love everything you guys do. 🤙😁
Do yourself a favour, dude. Put a few coats of liquid electrical tape on those fat cable connections for the winch. In my opinion, it's the best way to protect them from corrosion and accidental shorts. I think you guys are in the north Eastern suburbs so probably get it from jaycar in Eltham or ringwood.
I subscribed to you guys from the 1st episode of the gq build and i havent missed a video since. Absolutely love your videos, always so enjoyable and educational. Mad support for you guys, all the way from South Africa 🎉 keep it up
Great work guys, when you get a weekend free you might want to take the winch back out and give it a paint, shiny black would really look the part …..safe travels guys 🍺🍺
Love how this thing is coming along its an absolute weapon!, any chance of doing a full 12v setup video on the big 80 series? Would love too see whats actually in the big rig🔥🤟🏼
reat vid boys loving the roadsafe black hawk products, let me know if you want a blackhawk fairlead cover and some soft shackles and a new winch rope roadsafe will come to the party
100% credit to you. The whole exterior now looks great, what's the word you youngens use "Mint" haha. Then you stepped inside, the internal dash top box just shone with excellence as well. You've earnt yourselves a beverage boys, Wealie.
Your patrol is looking absolutely fantastic! Oh and I am so jealous of your winch, I can't find one anywhere here in decent condition and at a price that doesn't compare with a Ferrari spare wheel. 🤣🤣
man i started to watch your videos and i have a 1997 holden rodeo 2.8 turbo diesel 5 spd manual 4wd and i want to do the same thing but i want to keep it mostly original on the outer
VERY NICE! Do let us know the weight of the vehicle when you weigh it. It looks like you have kept the weight to a minimum with maximum off-road capability. Hit that sweet spot.
Personally I'd take the PTO. The toolbox lid could have been 3" higher to fit bigger items. & I seriously think a modular canopy will have to be fitted Anyway Liam, not too shabby...... for a Patrol 😉
I did disconnect them in these clips but after a but more experimentation it seems the rear swaybar doesnt really limit articulation, the front does though
Great video. What's your view on brand new Utes as in manual v auto. We went to the 4WD adventure show yesterday looking at so many set ups. I was thinking manual but so many sales people were recommending go automatic. Thanks
The sales people probably never have driven a manual in their life they wouldn't know how one worked , I'd go manual your in control there stronger and easier to service and don't need transmission coolers , just don't tow in top gear 😉
Its so bloody refreshing to see a relatable build. No ridiculous sponsorship driven builds with unlimited budget.

Great job Liam!
kicks the shit out of the 4wd 24/7 builds! no over hyping things but genuine enthusiasm. great build!

Thanks Fatman! Means alot mate!! Yeah it's got alot of history that ute! Cheers :)
@@AussieArvoshey mate I was just going to say I wouldn’t mind seeing more footage of the 75 if you have any haha

This is by far my favourite RUclips channel. Great job guys
It's been awesome to watch your beast come together and looking forward to see how it handles the tracks.
Great to see Liam. I'm looking forward to seeing your adventures in the mighty Patrol. Cheers mate
Thanks Jon! We can't wait! Cheers
Another brilliant DIY episode boys. Great work. 👍
Cheers hammer rocks!
@@AussieArvos Soldering the electrical connections is the best method😉
You’ve done so well! That a Ute to be proud of. Look forward to seeing her hit the tracks.👍
another good job guys. lot of planning to get stuff right and you have got it right again. the toolboxes complete the tray.awesome job😀
When using cables with same colored outer , an idea would be to use colored shrink to show positive and negative.
I'd be filing the burrs off and taping the lug before heat shrink too
Agreed, unfortunately I didnt have any red heat shrink in the right size but will sort it out soon!
The most cleanest/ modest patrol going around every mod is in good taste and not over board good work lad
Cheers rice!
Awsome video as always lads, that patrol is looking the shmick now, those toolboxes finish it off. That block and tackle set up youve got looks a handy piece of kit to have too. Keep up the good work boys
Thanks Luke! The gantry setup is super handy!
GO THE PATROL!! good to see ! 🏞️🛻😎🤙📹
Such a nice clean look and style. Nice work.. :) The white with the black is spot on. Will make anybody jello

Looking forward to the maiden camping trip lads !!!
It’s been an epic build series with massive payoff.
One of the best GQ’s in Australia 🇦🇺

Awesome video, thanks Fellas. Would love to see you boys take on the cruiser repair
That feeling when you fix or make something 💪
Great job. George 4x4 does good fairleads and custom lengths of winch rope.
So good guys, you must be stoked!
Keen to see the canopy set up, plus some pinstripes😂
Coming very soon!
Looks awesome guys can’t wait to see it on some tracks

Dude this thing turned out sick
Nice. What a beautiful rig.
Toolboxes look mint 👍
Nice one!
As always another great video guys 👌
Cheers BT!
Car is looking mint! Think of sealing the windows on the cable lugs to reduce corrosion which will reduce the chance of hot joints.
Will be putting terminal covers on 👍
Love the videos keep it up
Every Sunday is exciting because it means a new video is coming out 👍👍
Thanks mate!!
Beast of a rig.. well done guys.

Oh Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr8 Work Boys, once again, Love Ya Work just Love it !!!!!!!!!!
Cheers mate!!
1:42 it’ll need those mods to keep pulling that landcruiser out of trouble! 😂
I love the look of your patrol Liam
Cheers Josh!
This thing looks awsome
Should’ve painted the big orange wires black mate
Done with with the patrol mate she’s coming along very noice 😍
Thanks Jake!
Looking good buddy 👌
That’s are nice GQ ute. I’d love one like this
Paint that bastard. Old grey sticks out against black grill. Black housing would look clean
Lookin good mate 👍🏼
Looks mint. Cheers
A nice looking truck, smick.
A few 1hz's. If it was a td42 it still be on the first engine 😂
The amount of TDs I have seen original motor over a mill is incredible
Yet another great example of diy young guys getting their hands on instead of paying someone
Great vids laddies, just a suggestion terminal boots might be a good safety for the winch. Keep up the good work.
Was just going to say that too, suggest to use Vaseline grease as corrosion prtotection on to the winch terminals and then slip on the rubber boots.
Thanks mate! Yes I've just ordered some online to protect the terminals
Great work it's looking 🥵
Nice ride
Lookin like a primal ute 👍
With your halo headlights does the big circle in the middle of the light go to the top or The bottom cheers.Enjoying your videos 👍👍

🇦🇺 Aussie Arvos 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Rosco!!
Should have painted the winch but Ute looks awesome
Should of used a plamsa lock on the rope
We’ll done
Lovin the way it looks but I think the battery cables needs to have conduit so it's not bright orange lol
I kind of don't mind the look, makes it look a bit comp truck style haha. Will have to buy some correct size conduit for them
@AussieArvos well since you put it that way then I can see why you left it. Great work fellas
Looks great! What are you doing with the tray? Canopy or tool boxes?
Canopy will be coming soon!
VERY NICE! Do let us know the weight of the vehicle when you weigh it. It looks like you have kept the weight to a minimum with maximum off-road capability. Hit that sweet spot.
Will do! Interested to see a weight as it sits now, as well as once it gets a canopy and more touring mods!
Which fairlead are you going with? I have a raslaar bar on my cruiser and kings fairlead too haha. Same gap
Going to have a look around online, I believe many are a different style now that would cover the gap
Funny watching a stick figure yelling heave
Just started work but a Quick break
Lads! You put drop out cones and coil retainers in?
The Big GQ turbo”d yet ? How does it go on the highway with the big 35s, cheers legends
Tray sides would top this thing off
Winch aside for a moment, tell us about your mic setup?
Personally I'd take the PTO.
The toolbox lid could have been 3" higher to fit bigger items.
& I seriously think a modular canopy will have to be fitted

would the winch block the airflow for the car?
slightly yes, it is one downside of the highmount winches!
Gum boys gum
Ready for it now !
@@AussieArvos when are we doing it
Get that bird in some videos what’s it’s name
he's a bit like bob the builder
Where’s the uhf
Was that bird a pet? Or just a friendly wild bird?
Just a wild bird, they fly into the shed from time to time
Liam, you should have latex gloves on when touching that Toyota. You don't want to catch Landcruiser germs.
