I've updated my Real Style. For the first time in 40 years, I've started wearing sweaters again - a natural color Aran sweater and a dark navy commando sweater. No shirt under neath, just a sweater. The big change in my style, I no longer wear blue jeans. It's chinos spring, summer and fall. Heavy corduroy for winter

I’m a former teacher, current PhD student, and (hopefully) soon to be academic so Ive tended to wear a lot of collared shirts with sweaters and blazers and sometimes a tie as part of my daily wardrobe. I feel like there’s a lot of stuff out there on how to match suits with shirts and ties which is, of course, helpful, but I think sweaters and shirts are not as talked about and I see a lot of people who clearly make some of the mistakes you’ve mentioned (such as the patterned shirt with the overly patterned sweater which, I’ll admit, I’ve been guilty of myself). So this video was very helpful to me as a reference since the collared shirt and sweater/cardigan look is my go-to casual outfit for the colder weather and I am increasingly moving away from very patterned shirts and towards solid/subtle patterns with maybe more flair in the sweater or blazer. Anyway, that was my long winded was of saying thanks for making this, and for continuing to make content! I’ve been watching your videos since I was 18 and have learned a lot. You’re 100% the reason I now make sure to always wear a pocket square with a sport jacket or blazer.
Just me, If I am not wearing a tie, my collar is not button down and my sweater has a crew neck, I like to bring my collar out and over the top of the crew neck of the sweater. The reason is I usually like the color of my dress shirt in combo to the sweater of the day. Obviously not all collar and sweater combos can pull this off well. This morning it was 24F outside and when I arrived at work my office was only at 60F. Up here we know our sweaters.
Great pointers. The zip neck + chambray combo really caught my eye. I’d seen it before and had been unable to articulate what looked good about it, but you’ve said it perfectly here.

Started rewatching Better Call Saul and only recently learned what Super 170 Tasmanian Wool and Sea Island Cotton are 😅 you should do videos on some of those niche super high-value fashion elements like different materials and stitchings like you touched on here when talking about dress shirts
Personally I don't like the look of a crew sweater with a collard shirt. I wear a crew t-shirt (so you can see the shirt collar) with a crew sweater, and only wear v-neck sweaters with a collard shirt.

I think sweater vest are one best to wear dress shirt under it. The problem is that I struggle to find proper sweater vest at stores. I hate buying clothes online. I bought quarter zip because that was only one I could find at a store. I whore it with sport coat as way to keep me warm in north Texas winters..

I hate buttons in the collars. Its much more efficient to only have collars without buttons and dress them up and down the situation requires than having both types

I used to really like this channel years ago when he talked about quitting the habits of Facebook, how to stop being late how to schedule your daily activities and get your life together overall being a genuine channel but recently that hasn’t been a thing anymore for Antonio all I ever see now is how to dress successfully what matters of what you wear and how you do it and dress up to be better than everyone else saying how people in poverty are losers and are the unsuccessful and have to bump everyone else ahead talking about polls on what to wear and not to wear and I never get a response to any of them. And all he ever talks about is money and collecting add money for his videos. I unsubscribed to this channel because it is not the channel it used to be. And not long after I unsubscribed I found no reason to watch any of his videos and my subscription fee is no longer cluttered.

My go-to sweaters are the V-neck, the quarter zip, and the vest. I love all three❤❤😊

@4:59.... if your sweater is so thin as to allow the tie to be visible underneath, then it may be too thin.
