I've had my LCI F30 for 5 years now and I didn't even know I had interior ambient lighting. Turns out there's a knob right next to your headlight controls that I had turned all the way down. Better late than never I guess, thanks for the video dude!
I believe if you put resistors it will help the brightness to match the rest of the car.

I'm pretty sure with coding you can dim the console separately from the doors
I wish… unfortunately tho it’s the cluster and that stuff that you can dim separately
This is exactly what I was worried about and the reason I haven't done it. The orange color is way too bright it doesn't look like the OEM LCI part. And I have no idea why this manufacturer decided to go with blue instead of white that matches the rest of the car. We have almost the exact same car btw and even same year, except the interior color.
A possible solution would be to paint over the LEDs with a black sharpie. This could possibly dim them but I'm not sure by how much. It's worth a try I think cause it's reversible.

What did you use to unplug the piece? I can’t unplug it, it’s like really hard to get off
The connections inside? Sometimes using a pick tool or small flat head screwdriver to help pry it out of the connection helps
