Oh, so the ECM technology used in the non-kinetic pods are the Ad Stella's explanation for why manned MS are necessary. It's nice to have one.
In the prologue they deactivated the psycommu weapons of enemy MS iirc.

I’m really loving the designs from this series. I didn’t think I would be a fan over the rounded style, but everything looks great
As a new person to Gunpla, I love these designs so much.
I've never really liked to older mech designs, especially the boxer designs like unicorn.
Iron Blooded Orphans sleeker designs was much more my vibe.
Now these super sleek and a bit femme designs, they are like exactly what I needed to get into this hobby.

@@VaderTheGoat Well I was using Unicorn as the example of just boxy design, as its basically just a bunch or squares and rectangles.
As its a UC series, it takes its design roots form the OG series, which had boxier designs. But Unicorn is like maximum boxiness.
Also the novel is 15 years old and the anime is 12 years old haha. I consider decade plus to be an older series. Not saying oldest but just and older series.

At least six mechanical-designers have been confirmed for this newest Gundam show, and [so far] it appears that their MS designs are separated in-universe between the various *_companies_* competing with each other in the mobile suit industry of the Ad Stella timeline.
Best thing about this Beguir-Beu ("beg-gear bow" as I'll pronounce it) is that it's a design by Kanetake Ebikawa; along with presumably all other mobile suits developed by "Grassley Defense Systems". We're about to find out in just 2 more months.
Ebikawa also designed the Heingra, the Michaelis, and the Demi Trainer.
I've had to stop getting HG kits due to lack of space, but this one is nice. I like a lot of the designs from this series, hopefully we see some MG.

It's very great for "agile" poses and it just naturally works

These designs are really growing on me. It helps that they're like the lovechild of IBO and G-Reco design wise while also being posing machines
Looks more like an Orbital Frame (Zone of Enders) than a mobile suit.
I see more Mamoru Nagano style. very FFS.
It screams "Neith", viola's OF.
Parts of the design of this kit reminds me the kits from Gundam Reconguista in G. Very unique and loving it!
The head of this mobile suit has an avian/insectoid feel to it, almost like a bird and an orchid mantis had a baby. It also sorta reminds me of the yellow gliding/flying MAILes from AMAIM.
This looks SO cool! I love purple gunpla, I picked up Kimaris Vidar specifically because it's purple (and it looks cool as hell, and it's got a huge drill lance, and it's IBO...) and this would be perfect on a shelf next to it!
Great kit, solid and wide articulation, and a weapon kit including the -Totally Not GN Katars- Bayonets and the -EMP Balls- ECM Non-kinetic pods.
Also if there's a simple transforming variant of this in the future, it's an instant steal for me.
I have to admit the designs for these new kits are growing on me.

I mean it definitely was my fault for not paying attention to the instructions, but still, it’s worth noting
Anyone who got this kit, be careful how you attach the back claws cause if you angle it the way it should’t be in as you attach them, the c clips will break
I've never liked those claw feet except on the Graze Ein.
just finished the series, and damn. Not only is it great (my first MSG series) but the designs are all unique and cool looking. The different corporations designs all have unique designs where their mass produced units and the one offs all have a certain style. Like the Darilbalde and the Jeturk mobile suits all have a sort of militeristic, roman style, or even a beetle type head fin.
saw this in the prologue and knew I had to check if there was a gunpla. This was my second build, it amazed the hell out of me. Purple is actually my favorite color too. I put the middle pieces and the teardrop outline under the plastic pieces. Not sure if you were supposed to do that but it looks better imo
Seeing the Hazel Gigantic Arms in the comparison reminded me that kit exists.
Looked it up and the thing is going for £130 minimum, which is more than the Haze'N-Thley-II-Rah iirc.
buy it if international stores like HLJ. It should be much cheaper there, even with the import costs.

I'm in no rush to get the Gigantic Arms anyway, if i even want it at all.
Since you like kits that can transform without parts-forming you should try and get your hands on an Arios, I think it's getting rereleased soon. It doesn't require any parts swapped in, and the only parts you have to handle separately is the rifle and take the rear skirt off to rotate it 180. It's an older HG but I think it easily competes with the AGE-2 for the HG that does a flight form the best.

the Beguir-Beu reminds me of the Bertigo from Gundam X but more slimmer in design.
The colors and almost alien vibes of this suit and others of that producer remind me a bit of Neuropa mechas from the game Metal Fatigue. Loooove them!
Not Qubeley, Bertigo. Bertigo from X is basically that shows version of Qubeley. Look it up.
I preordered the prologue duo at the same time, I managed to get the Beguir-Beu but not the Lfrith. Either I just got lucky or the Beguir-Beu is not as popular as the Lfrith (not sure how HLJ's preordering works in that sense) but that's pretty understandable. I am not so patiently waiting for this kit to arrive, I'm so excited.
Just finished by Beguir-Beu today :D Gotta agreem it's one hell of a kit, and has just enough where both straight build enjoyers and detail enthusiasts can get a lot out of it :) Now for the Lfrith!

I don't particularly like those wings. Weird that they're so angular on such a curvy suit. But the rest of it looks pretty cool. I'd probably look for something to replace the wings with.

Oof so when I ordered this kit I guess it got banged up in delivery because a shoulder plate was cut in half while still on the runner. The white plastic for some which kits does feel like it'd be easier to snap so just be careful. Nothing some epoxy couldn't fix.
But overall. It's no mistake the Grassley Suits have this Bird of Prey kind of look to them. I can't wait for Beguir Pente to be released as it'll make a great companion suit.

This color scheme reminds me of the ASW-G-66 Gundam Kimaris.
I'm more curious as to how durable these HG G-Witch kits are. The HG IBO kits get floppy over time so I'm wondering if it'll be the same for these. If that's the case, maybe it'll be more worth it overall to wait for an MG XGF-02 Gundam Lfrith and MG XVX-016 Gundam Aerial.
I believe they should be as durable as the 30 minute mission kits
