From what I've heard, they managed Hi Ren in just 4 takes.
Ren's concept with all 3 of the Money Game videos, is to create a question after a question after a question.
You need to add a Ren playlist. I came here beause of a ren thumbnail of yours. I am obsessed with Ren reactions. It would be convenient to have them in one place. I have no idea what Ren reactions you did before the Money Games ones.

Yes, all recorded in one take - the person on the chair is actually Romain from the Big Push - but is it meant to also be Ren? Who knows.
Having watched the video many times, and hundreds of reactions, I’m still spotting new things. The most recent realisation was that the rope at the start is old and frayed…”money for old rope”?

The layers of meaning and references boggle the mind. Knowing this took something between 130 and 180+ takes before they “got it” and they kept adding choreography and meaning which is one reason it too so many times, I have to imagine everything we see has intent and thought behind it.
Why the rain coat? Why the old rope? Why the hostage/money bag? Why the self immolation at the end? Why the look when he stops with burning the other person? Why the choice to film under Brighton Pier? (Could just be because it looks cool and they could get in and film without asking).
Next up, Money Game 2 - make sure you do the lyric video first - the other shorter version is part of the song done a Capella - worth listening too but lyric video is “the one”….then the first video Ren’s done with a budget over about $1000 - and international award winning - Money Game 3…
Then you should watch Ren’s Eden - not a “music video” but it immediately preceded the released of MG3 after a week long online game with the community solving fiendishly difficult puzzles with clues scattered over the internet…

Well, it's about time, you two! Now, don't neglect Parts 2 and 3, not to mention the rest of his stuff. I know you guys don't usually do hiphop, but Ren is beyond worth it.
This is a good trilogy. I can’t wait for y’all to do 2& 3. Ren is an artist’s artist. Great reaction!

This was shot in one shot, but I think the final one you see here was about the 117th take or something. It’s a true work of art. I think the guy in the chair is a representative of the money game. He kind of represents the evil and hypocrisy that is at the root of it. At the end, Ren cuts eye holes in mask, and it allows this guy to see the wrong he is doing. Ren is going to douse him in gas and stops when he realizes that he too is victim to the money game and is also to blame for the problems it has caused. So, Ren now feels guilt instead of just anger and decides to pour the gasoline on himself instead. The facts are that not one of us can sit here and say we aren’t in some way to blame for the issues that are situated around money, power, greed, corruption, etc.
A little perspective (as I see it)

The colour of the tie doesn't matter, as long as the "other guy" is the "bad guy" and they keep us opposing each other their "political club" is safe)

Then, "We" (the population) gain awareness (Eyes) and we see the system.

Either those in control "burn" us, or the protection (poncho) is removed, the "storm" arrives and the system "burns"
