"When I carry fixed blades I don't like people to see it"
Proceeds to pull the brightest and most flamboyant color knife I have ever seen
I know „Very small" knifes for you its Becker bk2 or bk7 .You can also take buck reaper(sarcasm)
He has no clue what hes talking about lol
I saw it way ahead of time
6:25 for those who are curious 😂
Actually the bright color makes it look less menacing and a bit like a kitchen or picnic knife so visible but “safer”.
The last time I told a dude to pull his out for a size comparison it didn't end well for me.
mine's not that long, but it is that thin
Mine is small, only 2-1/2 inches.
Jeff Gothro Mine is just under 4inch, id say the average length. Right guys?
....guys?????
191601916 I'm exactly 4 inches in length... BE STRONG BROTHER!!!. Be strong
😑😞😖.
Kenneth Hildebrand oh I get it
''Wanna pull yours out and do a size comparison?''

HAHA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHAH LOL
grow up.
@John Payne wait what?😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

“You wanna pull yours out and we’ll do a quick size comparison?”
Lmaoooo 😂😂
ikr that hilarious

“I like to take it out and beat on it” lol
I live in bumbfuck middleanowhere appalachia so just about every warlord here carries a fixed blade tide to their leg lmao
This is...just...such a great comment.
Chad Mozley... are nodding out as you type or what?
CrimsonmileTV we measure our knives in feet around these here parts
@@elijahoconnell I work at a scrap yard here in Texas and every dude that works here carries a blade on their waist/belt--and a pistol if they aren't a felon. And even one of the felons carries an old single-action black powder revolver which is legal for felons to carry in Texas lmao.
Awesome
Whoever edits these, good job, you make it funny. Love the deer clip. I carry my fiddleback forge runt with a pocket sheath and an LT wright patriot in a ksf pocket sheath
Top 10 most popular knives on ur site, DO IT! GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT!
I want a girlfriend with big boobs.
mwillblade I'd just take one that isn't fat or ugly, or both. The good looking girls are normally already taken.
Cody Holland id just take one... no preferences except that she has a face, and that's just a preference not mandatory.
S P2000 Yeah, beauty is sometimes accompanied by 'mean as 'hell'! Good personality plus reasonable intelligence will go the distance. If she is short or tall, skinny or curvaceous, those qualities do NOT cause problems in a marriage.
1:52 "You wanna pull yours out and we'll do a quick size comparison?" LOL good grief, fellas...
They did that on purpose 😂
Oh boy every time I see a Knife Banter with Ben, I missed him again. Ben you are so cool.
Ok I haven't been watching blade hq for very long I just recently discovered this Channel .what happened to him?
@@tyreldalzell1489 He left bladeHQ and start new adventure.
Ok thanks I noticed that the last video he was in was the blade hq pocket dump but that's last I saw him
Huhh? Lol
My vote goes for the one with the leather sheath that carried straight across.
Have to be wide to do it.
It was so small. Useless.
@@DeRock401 lol small knives are useless? I guess with you you either carry a Bowie knife or nothing right?
Hamsaphina machete or bust
Best one by far. Bradford 3.5 even better
How does one get a career as a purchasing agent for a knife distributor...?
I'm smacking the crap out of my high school guidance counselor. He never mentioned cool jobs like that.
Chris Vandergriff I'm with you on this one. Why did no one tell us of such a wonderful career? Again the school system lets us down.
when doesnt it let us down.
Business major here. You need a business degree and get into the job of a knife company. Being a buyer is a job for all retail companies.
yet there are people with those jobs.. idiot entitled millennials.
As if high school has anything to do with your future regarding your career.. unless you're flipping burgers.
The primary job of a high school guidance counselor is to only mention careers that suck all the joy out of life.
Where do I carry my fixed blade?. Well, I keister that buckaroo
Ded
Ha ha ha right in the ole prison wallet!
LOL!
Lmao I’m fucking dead
I tried anal sheathing a Rambo replica and ended up in the hospital for 5 weeks.
Knife Banter is great series! I look forward to watching it every week!
I use a wheelchair and carry on the right side. Sometimes on my belt and sometimes on the chair's seatbelt in FULL VIEW
How do you carry it though, whenever I try to it always catches the wheel & other things & I am in Cali so I can’t hide it either
you should fix a mingun on there
A trick I use is for belt carry knives is you can stick the pointy end in your pocket to instantly reduce its profile.
Why? I'm totally showing I carry a knife so people can see not to try me
@@kelvingivens1629 Wow such a tough guy...
As soon as I heard the line “you wana pull yours out and do a quick size comparison” I thought to my self pause the video! I have to check out the comments section haha
I carry a Mora Eldris in my right front pocket at home. Light, easy to deploy, great for most edc jobs around the house.
I carried a fixed blade karambit on my last job, the job involved a lot of opening of pallets wrapped in plastic and it was great for cutting into them without cutting the product open. I had it on my belt with the handle pointed upward.
For the longest time I never dreamed of EDCing a fixed blade but that all changed one day. I have a Mora Companion that I carry while hunting and it's my go-to skinning knife. I wear camo overalls and I can clip it to one of the chest buttons using the hole on the belt clip which is really handy. I took it to work one day to show it to a friend who was looking at fixed blades. Not wanting to forget it at work I clipped it to my belt but had it positioned so that the sheath was tucked into my back pocket next to my wallet and man...it fit perfectly and didn't interfer with my wallet at all. Its super comfortable and rides low enough that it doesn't jab me anywhere while seated or getting in and out my truck. Yet it's hidden and faster to deploy than my folders and you get the strength of a fixed blade. It's as natural as reaching for my wallet. It totally freed up my front pocket and I have not missed having a folder. I do always have a little Victorinox Rambler on my key chain incase I don't want to pull out a fixed blade somewhere and it has the added bonus of scissors and tweezers so between those two tools I really only carry a folder if I'm getting dressed up or something.
Thanks to Tyson's review on this video I have been carrying a Bradford Guardian 3 for about a year now. Mine is the full flat ground version with M-390 steel and 3-D scales. I'm wearing it as I type this.
add a EDC fixed blade section on your website!
Have you tried the link in the description? The one that goes straight to the EDC Fixed Blade section of our site?
-Austin
No I haven't. When I go to the website to shop I mainly look at edc(able) fixed blade knives. The are options for folding, fixed, otf, auto and so on. So I click fixed, and go through the pain staking process of filtering (I'm lazy). With EDC fixed blade knives on the rise I thought I would suggest that option for the website. But then again it may be hard to distinguish what is EDC(able) on y'all's end.
Blade HQ would you all ever consider a "As Seen On Knife Banter" section? One that could just have the knives/gear that was reviewed on this weeks show. This way we could go right to those items.
Yeah, I had to go back a couple of times to hear Austin say H&K Plan D for his second knife. I found it eventually, but it doesn't seem like it would take much, even if you just listed them in the video description with links?
I work in the Texas oil fields. It is common for workers here to wear large open top boots. I carry a mora knife clipped to the inside of my right boot. It works great! It stays very sharp, it's there when I need it and if it breaks or I lose it I don't cry because it's cheap.
Mark Archambault I used to carry an swhrt9b in my boot
Brett Webster I still carry an Smith and Wesson HRT in my left boot. I’m left handed, and on my dress boots(Ariat cowboy boots) I got a leather loop sewn inside so my knife is always held in place there with out the kydex bugging my leg.
Easiest place to carry my 6" fixed blade but I strap to my shin
I carry a fixed blade karambit, right hand inside my waistband. Im a lifeguard, and I find it really useful for emergency medical situations. The karambit style I find is best for multiple reasons, such as removing clothing with less chance of accidentally stabbing the victim-can just slip it in and glide down along the skin without having to worry about it too much. Obviously trauma shears would be better for that, but for other stuff I would rather have a knife-such as in case someone gets caught in buoy ropes, anchor ropes, etc. As far as fixed vs folding blade, thats simply because of the water. No moving parts to get in between and rust-makes it very easy to keep clean and dry.
dbmeed emt here. Shears for clothing no exceptions. You’re asking to fuck someone up. Even if it’s an accident it’s your fault. People need you to help them, there’s no room for being too irresponsible to use shears
Raptor shears, you won’t regret them. Firefighter/paramedic and swift water rescue technician are among a few of my jobs. Don’t get rid of the Karambit though, excellent for tangle ups and as a back up. Also as long as you occasionally use fishing reel oil they won’t rust much. Worth every bit of the $65
Jacob Acosta Master Scribe , to each their own, I have and will use a blade over shears in mentioned situation with 100% sucesss.
Interesting.
C Hardy I prefer a benchmade Rescue hook and a pair of $10 shears. Easier to clean. All the same, I agree, using pointed knives on patient clothing is not safe.
I carry a fixed blade, I don’t even have to lube it up with Vaseline anymore, it slips in real nice and easy now
Yo Dad go back to garand thumbs comment section where you belong boy
I just started carrying a Ka-Bar TDI serrated edge and I love it. The size is awesome and the options for carry are awesome. Totally recommend to anyone looking for a last ditch knife!
Does anyone (besides me) carry a blade mainly for self-defense?
Me. I have my Swiss army knife and leatherman for utilitarian tasks and my minitac is purely to stab and slash if need be!
I do, my country is getting scary.
Thanks to you that have replied! RUclips just isn't what it used to be, as I just learned of these replies a few minutes ago.
It's good to know that others appreciate the high level of danger going on ... as liberalism keeps taking a serious toll and on so many levels. Let's hope we never run into a situation to draw them out (especially if the bad guy is carrying a gun).
Doan Ly Thanks man, you be safe as well.
Personally i keep self defense in mind whenever im buying a knife, but i use knives alot in my daily life, from opening boxes at work, using to pry small stuff with, and even cutting food with. So i use my edc blades alot, so self defense isnt my reason for carrying but it crosses my mind so i like to make sure they are semi practical in self defense just in case. I also always carry atleast 2 sometimes 3 whenever i carry my multitool.
I carry a 2019 schrade old-timer edition for a cheap knife it does everything I have needed it to do so far and I have carried it since Christmas
Blade HQ: would you carry a fixed blade?
London: Yes
I edc a becker necker in my right front pocket with the sheath it comes with. I’ve carried EDC for over 5yrs. I don’t notice it and use it a lot. Recently it was all I had on a impromptu 2 day camping trip. It was batoned through wood for kindling, built some poles for tarping and for food prep. Loved the ease of the 1095 and it’s strength. The handle is paracord wrap. It was a gift from a good friend so it’s worth more than the price for me.
Tyson was the reason why I just bought a guardian 3. Damn good knife, thanks guys!
The crkt that was on the static cord, I keep on my boot, along with the tracker T3 by Tom Brown Scout Style. Along with front belt the sog Karambit Gambit and to top it off a small folding knife Smith and Western Extreme Ops Tonto style blade (minimum)... because of Texas there is no law stating how many knives you must have, length in Blade or overall length required...
Being right-handed, I'll carry an Old Timer fixed blade on my right side if I'm doing yard work. If I'm out hunting and I'm carrying my rifle I'll carry a fixed blade on my left hand side. If I'm carrying a firearm on my right side I'll have a fixed blade on my left hand side. But for every day carry I just carry a folding knife in my left pocket so it's out of the way of my keys. I'm surprised how many guys don't carry any knives at all in their pocket for every day carry. I noticed because they have need for it and they have to ask somebody for a knife or go searching for one to simply open a package.
Personally, I'm 16, so I can't carry a gun, but I do carry my balisong everywhere with me
I carry an old timer to. Their Small but very nice
I carry a fixed blade because the ease of use ability. While working my hands can be covered in any number of things from grease and oil to engine coolant as well as many other things so to reach into my pocket where I may have my wallet or other valuables while my hands are all greasy is a no go. Having a fixed blade on my waist either on my side or abdomen is the best choice for me I can easily draw and use it without reaching into my pocket. Im now carrying the benchmade altitude because for one it’s very light and 2 it doesn’t have any surfaces on the handle that dirt grease or grime can get into as well as awesome S90v steel that’s very sharp for a long time. I also like that I can take it fishing hunting or camping and have great use out of the Altitude there as well. All in all this is my favorite all around. I also have a benchmade saddle mountain which is also a beauty and fits into your hand as well as most custom made knives and it is also light and easy to carry but I love it so much a can’t bear to get her dirty so I won’t carry it at work.
This was one of the best, if not THE best of the older (and maybe overall) episodes. I LOVE to carry small fixed blades daily. Often 2 or more in addition to a folder (I know, I have a severe case) but I'm pretty sure it's chronic and incurable, so I just go with it. Tyson was an excellent addition, and I feel like he was a great component to the Knife Banter dynamic, and should have been a regular third host.
Always carry your knife cross draw on the left, because if your left arm gets blown off you can still grab the knife with your right hand!
And train to use the knife ambidextrously.
I live in Los Angeles, California. . . so it's nearly impossible unless you are out camping or on a long hike in the forest. But when working in my home garden, I carry the M-Tech Biohazard Scorpion Karambit fixed blade, to trim the banana trees. I used to train working on slashes against the banana tree trunk, but as a cook and Sushi chef, I found that having banana leaves are really useful for plate presentations and for certain cooking techniques. Having a large curved karambit makes it really easy to cut off and harvest banana leaves. I also use it to trim small thin bamboo reeds also in the garden.
I got this knife for the intention of self defense, but ended up using as it was traditionally used for as a cultivation tool for harvesting
Jenard de Castro get out of there! Lol.
Mallninja shit boi step it up

Only a real man edc's a fixblade
What I edc carry is the protech rockeye fixed blade in the 5 o’clock position, I ccw a gen 4 glock 19 in the 4 o’clock with spare mag at the 9 o’clock. Knife and gun are both reachable by my right hand without looking and from sitting position. Most comfortable for me for edc setup. With a fixed blade I don’t have to worry about lock failure which has only happened once on a cold steel recon tanto. Small fixed blades I believe are very handy when wearing gloves, hands are cold or wet or your manual dexterity has been compromised.
I rotate the following
CS Kobun
Esee 3
(Above get crossdrawed)
CS Counter Tac 1
CS Spike
(Above dangle upside down via paracord loop on belt at 4 o clock)
Condor Bushlore (upright, 4 o clock)
Boker micro (as neck knife)
The Cold Steel Spike (or similar knives) works VERY well hung (not mounted) upside down from the belt. It being able to swing as needed as you move allows it to flow with the clothing over it. Minimizing printing, hang ups, and maximizing comfort because the blade isn't so "bolted on to" you. You essentially get the positive characteristics of neck knife carry without it migrate all over the place like neck knives often can.
Only about a 1/2 inch of the handle is typically exposed while it's under my shirt or hoodie, and despite it hanging and able to swing as I move, I can always get to it like it's mounted.
Highly recommend giving this carry method a try. I wear clothes roughly the same baggyness as these guys and it's the shit.
(Just a paracord loop on the tip of the sheath)
Yes I'll always have a fixed blade over a folder just much more utility. I use and esee izula stainless since I live in Vancouver right next to the ocean.
i love your guys video editor, hes pretty funny
I live in germany, and thats why i have to carry a fixed blade if i want to carry a knife.
Its legal here to carry a fixed blade if the blade is under 12cm. But its illegal to carry an locking one hand operated folder.
Its stupid but thats why i carry my fixed knives like the Esee 3 or the Izula 2
Oh and i carry all of them iwb on my right back side
ziemlich scheiße hier. ._.
I have EDC the Obake for over 3 years now and really like it . Very use full in everyday situations and keeps it's edge. I carry it in a cross draw horizontal position with the supplied belt clip
I carry the CRKT Minimalist Keramin. I like fixed blades for the lack of moving parts, and their durability, and the Keramin is a great utilitarian knife without being too big (though its uncommon blade shape makes it sorta menacing to non-knife people). I actually carry it on my belt on my left side and draw it sort of like a tiny little sword. It also came RIDICULOUSLY sharp in the box, so that’s a plus. First CRKT knife, not disappointed.
Hell yeah Tyson, I've been wanting to get a guardian 3, good to know it'll carry well on a big guy like myself haha. I tried to carry a fixed blade for edc a couple times, I have the CRKT S.P.E.W. and tried scout style and the belt clip snapped off because I got caught on something, I ended up carrying it in my pocket because usually I have my keys on a lanyard around my neck, so neck carry isn't a option. I recently got the H&K dispatch, and I didn't want to spend time with the paracord it came with on figuring out how I was going to secure it to my belt. Luckily I have some deep pockets and was also able to EDC it lol
I actually laced my crkt spew on my boot but i took it off later not because it got caught or anything it wasnt annoying i carried it on a polo boot
Nathan Castro look into Ka-Bar TDK ,or the Ka-Bar LDK they come with a nice belt clip and are nice for EDC ,and they come in multiple sizes and colors . I carry one everyday and it's hard to tell I have it on because of how the clip and knife is designed.
crkt Folt's minimalist bowie. I don't carry it everyday, i carry it as a sacrificial blade when I'm carrying a nicer knife or a large knife that would scare people. although the bowie scares more people than I thought it would. I carry it on my neck in the winter, and tip down 3:00 on my belt in the summer. It prints too much on lighter fabrics when I lean over to carry it neck style in the summer.
David Beck dude same
I carry a cattaraugus 225Q. This fixed blade is out of production for a long time. It was sold to ww2 soldiers.
(Btw I know this is a old vid)
Morakniv Companion carry just about on the hip and earned me the accolade of sharpest knife in the meat department
I know this is an old video but nonetheless Ben asked about karambit as a EDC ...
I carry 2 on my person and one inverted on the strap of my backpack.
- My first and favorite in my right front pocket is my fox karambit.
- My 2nd is in my back left pocket and it is a Smith & Wesson extreme ops karambit.
- My 3rd it may not be a daily but every time I have my backpack on me I have it so, I carry it on the strap of my backpack so it would be located on my right chest inverted so the handle is down and it is my SOG fixed blade lightweight karambit.
I can understand and how Ben was like I just don't get karambits. When I first saw them they didn't look right I thought they were all wrong and I just couldn't understand how that knife was even designed. Then one day I discovered Doug Marcaida... I was hooked and I started training and learning as much as I could about karambit knife fighting. Now they are my EDCs and they're like second nature to use for a wide range of things or anything a knife might be used for .
I EDC a Buck two blade toothpick. And on occasion a Buck 119 special.
the only fixed blade I have ever carried is my only fix blade....a USMC Ka-Bar...😂😂😂and I never saw anyone look at it....all 6inches of leather that sticks out under my shirt(because I belt carry and my shirts usually hang over it)
Damn 😂. Should I get a KA-BAR marine fighting knife as a edc? I’m thinking a CRKT Homefront or Spyderco Paramilitary 2 cuz they fold and are shorter
Oxi Clean depends. Wanna look like Rambo? Go with the ka bar
It bothers me so much that they didn’t name the series Blade banter instead of knife banter.
I carry one on my left hip, from a custom maker. It's made for self defense but I've used it for construction, bushcraft, can opener, everything.
I carry a spyderco h1 karambit daily. I carry it more for self defense. I love the way the clip is positioned on the knife for more of a tactical purposes.
I carry a Gerber prodigy or cold steel recon tanto
I really enjoyed this episode
crkt obake IWB because I skate alot and I'm only 18 so no handgun and anything big and in the way (or even just solid) will bruise bad if you fall while bombing a hill and I find the obake has always shifted with me when I have messed up
also invisible and out of the way so it's perfect
I'm glad I saw your comment lol, I skate a lot too and this was one of the things I was worried about lmao, so it's good to know the obake is a good option
Jester Buddersworth Qq as
I carry that as well it is like a jail shank it is no joke . Awesome piece
Sal Philly these comments are though.
I've been carrying fixed consistently for about 7 years. Concealed fixed blade carry is of questionable legality where I live (the standard "dirk, dagger, or ice pick" with no definitions provided) but open carry is fine, so I try to find a balance between visible enough to be legal and otherwise not too conspicuous.
My primary carry knife is a Fiddleback Forge Esquire (2.75" blade, 6.5" overall) in a pocket sheath with a clip. Works great for me and doesn't seem to scare the muggles.
For EDC I use a Bench Made Hidden Canyon Hunter in crossdraw configuration between the first and second belt loops. No print under a t-shirt and you never feel it while wearing. Equally accessible for a reverse grip offhand draw. Love the positive snap retention on the nice leather sheath. Can't stand kydex since everyone in a 50 foot radius knows someone just drew a knife. I really like your store guys...keep up the good work.
I carry my Bowie right side every day
Ive carried my buck 119 for several years. These small knives just have no use for me. I have more control and with bucks warranty Im pretty much set.
The Buck 119 is a beautiful knife! 😀 I have one in my collection, but it is a safe queen! I rarely use it because I want it to stay nice...
"Mines a little bit larger so pull yours out for a quick size comparison"
I have carried a cold steel super edge as a neck knive for 4 years now it is very lite very sharp can do a lot of things around the house
I was deployed with a guy to Bosnia and carried a fixed blade knife tip up. He had an incident and fell on it. It went through the sheath and had to get 4 sutures in his back.
I designed and made a leather sheath for by Becker BK-16. It can be worn at least 12 ways depending on the carrier and MOLLE compatible for gear. I wore it daily for 4 years straight scout carry with no issues.
Beautiful knives; simply too expensive unless your a collector. Your average American just can’t justify spending more than $40 on a knife.
Two hundred bucks gets you a good handgun on the secondary market.
You should get your priorities straight
“This one’s a little big for me” -Ben
I have carried and owned MANY fixed blades. The problem with skeletonized fixed blades is comfort. They are horrible for using in any type of high-pressure cutting application where a hammer fist grip is necessary. The skeletonized knife grip is just so obnoxiously thin that it cuts into the palm and instantly causes pain. Even the thinnest folders are still much thicker than any skeletonized fixed blade. I would certainly carry a fixed blade if it has a good, comfortable handle. To me, skeletonized knives are nothing more than a clever way for knife makers to sell an incomplete knife. Furthermore, I don't like cord wraps because they are extremely unsanitary. Especially if you plan to use your knife for any food application, particularly raw meats. String, rope, and cords are porous materials and harbor bacteria and are nearly impossible to effectively clean. Also, when cord gets wet, it takes a lot of time to fully dry out and holds moisture against the steel of the knife and can cause the knife to rust. All bad things, and not a good idea. For me, if a knife doesn't have the ability to be easily washed and cleaned due to inferior handle materials (like cord wraps), and/or doesn't provide the user proper purchase and a COMFORTABLE grip with the affordance of multiple grip options (pinch grip, hammer grip, reverse grip, chest lever grip, saber grip, etc.), then it's not a good knife. Knives with accentuated finger grooves are a prime example of a knife NOT to buy, as it provides the user with no affordance, in other words, it's forcing the user to grip the knife in a particular way which is bad. A prime example of this would be the Folt's minimalist neck knife. Just a bad design. The best knives are going to be designed with neutral grip ergos, and solid sanitary handle materials like g10, micarta, kirinite, stabilized wood, etc., etc. A good knife should also NOT have any sharp corners on the grip. Knives like the Bradford Guardians are horrible because the entire handle is left with sharp 90 degree edges that should have been radioused (rounded off). Handles with sharp corners are quickly going to create hot spots and give the user blisters when used in high-pressure cutting tasks, or prolonged usage. Knives with sharp corners should also be avoided, as they are nothing more than wall art, and are not meant for the hand. Some examples of makers that know how to produce a proper handle would be makers like, Bark River Knife & Tool, Diving Sparrow Knife Works, LT Wright knives, and Mora. Trust your hand, not your eyes.
Dan Schwemin Jr I learned more from reading your comment than I did watching them 3 jokers. Thank you.
Yeah!
What he said! ; )
I carry a Fox 479 karambit with the Emerson Wave either in my front right pocket or my prison wallet depends on where and what's going on because sometimes even though it's not necessary it just feels good to use the prison wallet I mean really good I'm talking euphoric like an "Ooohhhhhh Billllllyyyy" moment!!! Sorry I started to get off topic my Fox karambit I love it...
Lmao
I carry a Morakniv Companion all day at work on my belt, it goes inside my vest when I leave. I also carry a Whitetail USA skinner that is much easier to conceal. Not sure what it's called but I like it.
I would totally edc a fixed blade if EVERYTHING wasn't illegal in va... seriously, va law even bands even mention nunchucks, blackjacks, & knuckle dusters. Cause I'm totally going to go all Bart Simpson with my nunchucks.
Anthony Coffey you aren’t missing anything with the knuckle dusters. Used to carry some around myself (they were black DLC coated steel ones) and I got into a fight and used them. Still got sent to the hospital (was 6 people against me and my high school buddy, uneven fight) and incurred $3k in medical bills. They didn’t help me at all, and the only substantial thing they did was put me in danger of catching a felony. I didn’t get any legal trouble from all that, just saying it’s better to not mess with those. I now live in Pennsylvania (grew up in Cali) and so I can legally carry a fixed blade. I carry a Buck 119 now, and it always comes in handy with daily tasks, and it makes me feel safe lol
Anthony Coffey yes the common wealth is some bullshit!
right across the border in wv its legal to carry any gun concealed without a license and even daggers and fixed blades are ok.....called constitutional carry....basicly the constitution is our concealed carry permit
The Knife Laws are pretty bad here in Washington state too.
christopher martin what is the full name of wv?? I live in new zealand so I'm not very familiar with state name abbreviations
I carry my knife in the small of my back sideways
I carry a ka-bar bowie on my hip
🍪
I EDC fixed blades. I have a WINKLER belt knife, and a TOOR darter in Ranger Green! I had a Gerber 06 , and a expensive HOGUE, and a microtech all FAIL on me ! Between those two knives I have my bases covered! I really like both, but I have to say the serrations on the TOOR are really great for cardboard, and my knife chores. Good luck, happy trails, and be safe!
I just recently started EDC a fixed blade knife. I carry it in a Virginia tuck on the right back side(It’s about a 4-o’clock position) Since having started EDC, the number of men looking to proposition me has dropped from 2-3 a week to 0 a week.
As for why I carry, I work in a kitchen and it’s great for opening and breaking down boxes
I keep my Light Saber on the right hand side!
Who else carry’s their karambit like a Prince Albert
Lol no clue what that means
I carry a Alan folts minimalist in my front pocket usually!
Pete Horn never pocketed mine haha, prolly lighter and just as compact as a folder
Love that crkt I own one got it for 20 brand new and now it's my EDC
i bought a benchmade hidden canyon just for a new skinning knife and fell so in love with it, it’s my new edc
I carry a CRKT Dragon in scout position.
Help me out here: what's scout position?
Blade HQ horizontal on belt middle of back
Nice. Thanks for letting me know. I've never heard it given that specific name. Our editor carries a fixed blade there, but somehow that position didn't make it in the video this time. -Ben
That's horizontal at the small of the back. That what I've heard it referred anyway.
Ezee izulas are so pretty to me
Along the back of my belt. Wearing a suit every day, I can hide the handle under the jacket at work. Or, in my personal time, across the back of the belt under the flannel or polo shirt I wear.
Most people go for a speed draw which draws your target's eyes.
Fast is slow, slow is smooth, smooth is fast.
Better to strike with precision and speed at the right moment than to die with a blade in your hand.
Frank Robins, Jr. Exactly. That was some poetic shit right there. I carry Emerson and cold steel opening folders..slow smooth fast baby. Plus the loud snap possibly can flinch and confuse the actor/s.
So how many times do you acually use it? I work on a farm and have a leatherman on my belt but i think half the people here are nerds, that day dream of military survival.
When I was younger I lived/worked in some very unpleasant areas of the world. I was always carrying and I always had a few blades on me, but those back of the belt blades never sat quite right for me, (although I liked the idea) 'till I finally had one custom made that had very little profile. It was overlooked numerous times, thankfully I never had to pull it, but I was always glad it was there..
@Fenrir daggers are the best
This is an excellant topic. Seriously though, one carries a fixed blade on his right side (if he is right-handed) for thr most obvious reason that it is closer to his hand = quicker access.
Ordered the CRKT minimalist Persian blade from your site yesterday. Absolutely can’t wait for it to arrive. Third video I have watched now and subscribed both to the channel and your newsletter. glad I came across your site. Thank you
BEN IS BUSTED! Where's the 940 pal? You cheating on it with that new kwaiken how dare you, I see it in your pocket
Caught me!!! :) I threw that Kwaiken in there for the video... the 940 was on the table next to us, although I've been tempted by a mini Kwaiken before. -Ben
Neck Knife carry is the way to go
Any cheap recomendations
CRKT minimalist costs around 40 bucks
I carry my Becker bk2 around my neck. 😀
Lol then your neck must has a very difficult time handling it's weight
😉
Just got one of those! Love it already
@@Springfield_7.62x63mm uh how big do you think the 2 is
@@brandonfoley7519 Not quite big, overall length is only about 10" , yet it's robust and hefty, so for beginners it's an outstanding knife if the weight doesn't bother you, enjoy your new Bk2
I have a crkt triumph neck and a ken onion vertigo that ive been edc'ing for years. Which ever one im in the mood for that day. I carry both vertical on my right hip. I have alot of knives n they both carry very well but i cant brag enough about how well the vertigo carrys for its size. Awesome knife for edc.
I carry a folder and a fixed blade. The folder is a Cold Steel Spartan, beast of a knife. The fixed is a CRKT Minimalist, and I carry it abdomen style like Tyson. I want to get a bigger fixed blade and maybe phase out the Spartan. Looking into the CRKT Siwi right now.
Ka-bar TDI Law Enforcement belt carry at 8:00
Derek Wood
I also carry one at 0300. Wonder how you resheath it when it's on your 8 o'clock without worrying about cutting yourself, maybe you would like to share your method?
張家銓 I purchased a custom sheath for it that allows me to wear it horizontal instead of vertical, so I can use my had flat against the blade and guide it around my waste to resheath. I also don't really pull it out much either as it's only there as a backup to my carry pistol. I carry a Benchmade 940-2 in my pocket that I use for everyday tasks.
Derek Wood I carry mine at the 0200 with a kydex horizontal carry. I plan on putting it on my battle belt and thinking of an esee 3 but those guardians look pretty nice.
thats a benchmade azeria idiot
3:12 that isn't a knife thats a shiv
aydan cc i love it. i have it. i carry it when im not carrying my leek.
aydan cc yeah it is i carry that to as my edc it goes in my boot
Why do you want to know why and when I carry my fixed blade EDC😬? What....you want to rob me?
I carry a Karambit in my offhand pocket. It’s a last ditch defense option if my firearm and primary knife are out of action. It self deploys with the wave and then I just drive hand forward, wherever you hand goes in a natural grip the blade goes. No need to have to tweak the wrist or worry about fine motor skills under stress. Just thrust hand forward and rip. Very effective last ditch option.
I have EDC'd a CRKT Obake horizontal style for the last 4 years. I carry it either scout style on my back, handle facing right hip or on the front of my left hip, handle facing right.
I carry it in the prison pocket
Butthole
You’d need a karambit for it to fit properly and comfortably.

nick hiles Oof.
Hahaha
"That might be because of your huge pecs" that was a little fucked up. Not cool man.
Indeed. He should have given it right back. Something like, “That’s pretty funny. I was thinking of calling you a douche, but after your comment, I’m sure they already figured you out.”
I normally carry a kotoba chibi kawaii katana. Cuz weeb.
I am a delivery driver in Madison, WI, and I EDC a $10 fixed blade on my belt. great knife, a little big for my taste. real wicked shaped blade, polished steel, great for self defense.
Shivworks Clinch Pick. For self defense. Has the most ideal carry position for such a tool and very nicely sized to do the job and to not get in the way when carrying it everyday.
