what is the problem with Autodesk and Marco is if they invested the time and energy that they did for windows they would have more professionals gravitate to their product if they ever put rivet on macOS Natively that would make a huge differences for engineers and architects.
I spoke to a Maya developer and he said the following on M1 support: Autodesk is committed to the Mac platform for Maya and actively investigating M1 support. I wish I could say more but unfortunately I can't talk about specifics just yet.

ETABS requires Windows OS for installation. It cannot be installed directly on a macOS. You can use Parallels software to install Windows on a MacBook and then install and use ETABS on a MacBook using a virtual machine. You can buy Parallels: bit.ly/phparallels If you are a professional then I would recommend you to go with a Windows laptop rather than MacBook for ETABS
Damn I’m holding back to buy M1 Max 32 core. Apple need to talk more with professional software companies if they want more professionals to be on their platform. I’ll be getting a Zen 2 processor with RTX 2060S for now. Hopefully, auto desk release in next 2 years.

Sorry, but you are wrong. Maya runs on Mac OS without needing Windows. I have been teaching Maya using my Mac for seven years now and what you said at 2:00 simply isn't true. It will run on the M1 Pro and M1 Max under Rosetta, and you do not need to use a virtual machine.
If you continue to watch the video at 5:38 I have explained it that Maya runs natively which uses Rosetta as its an Intel X86 build. I think you didn’t watched the complete video.

This would be a more better option specifically for softwares like Maya and other 3D / VFX which are more dependent on Windows environment. But, if you only want to use Maya, then Maya is available for macOS but that is not optimized for Apple Silicon, so you won't be able to utilise the complete power of the Apple Silicon processors for your work. They will run with Rosetta translation layer.
As I live in Brazil I'm getting the Legion 5i w/ RTX3060(not the Pro which costs me an arm) .. and I was considering Macs but the lack of 3D softwares made me not to buy it. I hope the 3060 already gives me room for 3d editing.. :(

I wonder if it’s better to take a MacBook Pro M1 Pro or a Razer Blade 15 advanced. Nearly same prices, razer run Autocad natively cause Windows, MacBook is a much better investment in a long term view I think. Maya is available for macOS as well as Windows. For macOS, it uses Rosetta and it runs completely fine, without any issues. There's no lag in performance. But for Windows, when you install Maya in Windows using Virtual Machine (Parallels) you get lags in performance for Maya. So, will recommend to go with Maya for macOS using Rosetta.

Why would make a huge diffrence using mac version? If users would like to use the Mac versions Autodesk would have done it time ago.
