Pretty sure this raid will go down in classic wow history. Not just for the 1mill pott. But to full clear with a pug this early is really impressive.
I love how quickly the Classic community writes off private servers for their item-shops yet gdkp and rmt are now a norm. GDKP is just an item shop with more steps and more money spent.
I write them off because they're buggy, full of racists and die after 2 months

No it’s not. Some people do spend a lot, others make a lot. It’s a community with workers like anywhere else. When the server sells items there’s no transaction in game, there’s no content made. GDKPs are just a loot system to raid with, like DKP or soft res.

Gold is water when u know what to do. Some dudes have multiple goldcaps a day from AH juggling. The gdkp fee is pocket change to them.

How do raid groups manage to get good quality players for Sunwell? Isn’t it a tough raid instances that requires coordination?

Just goes to show you how bad gold buying has gotten and how much money has washed through GDKPS so now people consider it legitimate. Yes guzu got 17k cut, but its either due to people buying gold and being able to bid things like 105k or in previous tiers gone by so many people profited from gold buyers that now their cuts are so huge they actually have insane money and redistribute this to other players.
Just did 420 hours of strath farming on his paladin for that one trinket, right? More evidence that Blizzard needs to ban botters/goldbuyers and GDKPS from ToS, so we can get the community back to running dungeons and not have the average player unable to get groups, unable to get gold to purchase things in GDKPS outside of scraps and actually make people play the game. If they don't like this they should find a new game, they are gold buyers creating P2W and enjoying the ego or they are people profiting from the people who do.
The problem is that the damage is done. There already exists billions of extra gold on servers that is no longer on first generation buyers/sellers, having been filtered through the auction house and GDKPs. Even if every single person who bought/sold gold, and every bot account was banned, and instantly detected in the future, the economy is already so inflated that it would take a huge amount of time to recover (likely longer than a whole expansion cycle).

@@Jandoranis Yeah I agree, but its certainly better than it continuing, especially in the sense the longer it goes on with GDKPS, the more filtered it gets, harder to fix in the future and it just gets worse and worse. If they at least banned GDKPS, it would stop the desire and a big demand for gold and it would still affect consumes/items in game, but less likely to affect overall gameplay through little to no pug runs etc.
Also an an announcement that they will cap gold into next Xpac or copy characters and only xfer xgold and only worn items, plus go harder on gold buyers would fix the game, sure a few people would be mad, but the game would be better for all generally and even better for future players.
none of them earned that gold legit every single player there is buying gold with real life money!

back then ofcourse, but not in meta world. People know which quest/dungeon/heroic is optimally better for DPS.
at MOST. you keep a tier 6 item untill naxx, thats the max...
this isnt true lol....there's actually only a couple pieces that hold up.......you get ilvl 200 gear from heroics in wrath lol SWP gear is ilvl 160 range....a couple 3 slot items with JC gems end up being better but without JC gems even they dont stack up with LK gear haha....spending all your gold on SWP gear is ill advised.

To actually go with a raid like that is the worst you could do for official WoW Servers, while there Raids are running people will still buy Gold with real Money to be able to buy Gear out of Raids

It really isn’t hard to save gold from gdkps to buy things like that. I got atiesh at 60 but had to buy my last few splinters. I had plenty of gold from running gdkps to have 40k at the end of classic.
You can keep telling yourself the gold is legitimate from carrying GDKPs, but the gold from your GDKP cut came from a credit card. The gold exchanged for the credit card was made by bots. Nobody farmed the gold manually. So in the end, the gold is from botting and RMT even if you weren't the credit card swiper.

Honestly its not that easy. If you spend 1.5hrs every day doing isle + netherwing dailies thats 300g .. then 3 hrs for two chars = 600g and so on. I do dailies every day on two chars so I average about 600g a day which makes 4.2k gold a week and thats without disenchanting the huge amount of greens/blues I get from doing those. Keeping up on gold is really not that hard this phase if you are playing the game.
Imagine spending thousands of dollars for imaginary pixels that'll be outdated in a few months.

it's time you "spend" in-game, not dollars. the only money you spend is the subscription fee. the gold is as "imaginary pixels" as the gear. upto you whether the time is well-spent.

its not split equally, leader gets big cut for actually having to set it up, tanks probably get larger cut, top dps larger cut, etc
Generally leader takes 20%, tanks and healers get slightly more than DPS
