Absolute, huge thank you from me. I'm so glad I stumbled on your comment! 🙏🏻 Lol I've been looking for something of decent quality that will last and doesn't look like terrible.
I have a Weistec TCU tune on my M157, don’t expect miracles, little bit (10%) faster shifts and no difference in 0-60 runs, I have the S63 Cp though, so no launch control.
To get rid of the codes all you do is add some rtv to the sensors where you placed them in the intake tubes. It’s picking up the slightest of air leaks. You also need to give the ecu time to adapt. And you can also tell your tuner you have bb intakes to add into the tune. Guys who have done so are averaging .4-.5 of a second 60-130. I also picked up 3 mph in my trap speed both in the 1/8 & 1/4 just from the intakes. Good video! 👍🏽
Welcome back. Super helpful video once again. Thank you 🙏🏻 Video ideas 💡 🤔... - Integrated Radar Detector installation - Rare view mirror mounting & power tap for standard Radar Detectors. Uniden R7 for example 😆 Either one or both 😆
I actually filmed this during the "headliner rattle " vids but deleted it. I'll see if it's still on my computer. But I hardwired my r7 to a switched 12v source in the overhead console.
I want to point out a few things to consider in response to results. Mercedes neuters power via the tcu. The further you go out on the shifts the less and less it intervenes. First gear is limited to like 480lbft load at the engine Second gear is 550lbft 3-7 is 660lb. An ecu tune doesnt eliminate those limits. Hence why your times and traps are relatively unchanged before the 1/8th mile. The blackboost intakes gained 3mph trap on the backend in your 1/4mph tuned dragy. Thats actually quite a bit for just intakes. Also the .57s reduction in 60-130 times says it all for me. So much so I’m considering them for my gle. And i much rather like the look of the stock intakes over the bb.
@@marquemozes not so much as documentation that you can read, but they are clearly defined limits within the definitions of the tcu tune. You would need software to see these definitions.
@@PoonFlavoredTang So, will the TCU tune eliminate or rather have capability of more power in the gears? I have the ECU tune, its fast but I can tell it doesn't feel complete. Weistec says the tune allows for more line pressure but, I'm not exactly sure what that means.
@@marquemozes yes you can get more clamping pressure by raising the line pressure. I’m sure they will have limits on the tcu. What they are you would have to see if they will even tell you.
