When Niccolo said how Sasha helped him get away from the war, it made me tear up. The guy doesn't truly hate Eldians, he's just been taught to do so like everyone else, even Gabi, without questioning anything

Bro me too, you could really tell just by looking at him while he did everything and said everything he said. That he truly loved Sasha with all his heart fam. I would act exactly like him if my girlfriend got killed. He is so damn relatable.
I wouldn't act like niccolo but he was understandable, the most surprising thing for me, was that conny didn't flip when he saw gabi , but just looked away.

When kaya kept screaming while gabi was taken away it broke my heart it was so painful to hear her screams

I agree. I teared up a whopping three times in this episode, the first time when Niccolo was screaming about how Sasha saved him from the war and about how Gabi took her away from him, then at Mr. Blouse's speech, and finally when I heard Kaya's gutwrenching screams. That's when all those built up tears finally fell, and they didn't really dry until a while after the episode was over.
This man is so underrated he gets the ost out in the span of a cuple hours. UNDERRATED

If you're referring to the scene where Floch shoots one of the eldians in front of Jean, thats not Nicolo, although it looks very much like him.
Sasha changed Niccolo, in the simplest way. By appreciating the food cooked by him, he finally see someone who adores his cooking talent. Love does change a person, and this episode showed that.
But will love change Eren?

To me, personally, it's more of like Sasha loves to eat. That only thing could change one enemy's perspective from hate to understand that paradis's people is mere human. And additionally giving Sasha love story that actually becoming tragic at the end.

Everyone we need to give claps to MAPPA. They legit pulled this scene to its highest. From Nicolo talking about how he loved Sasha, to Mr. Braus choosing to stop the violence, and finally Eren showing with the drip. Man this episode needs more hype.
Don't forget the scene where Kaya wanted to stab Gabi. So unexpected.

Absolutely. Definitely one of the best episodes of the season
It's so interesting to see the changes in theme throughout the seasons. The first three, broadly speaking, were about freedom. Now, with season 4, it seems like it's shifted to how war and violence will just continue in the world, unless the cycle is broken. Mr. Braus really just cemented it
I think the theme of freedom has continued and maybe even became more prominent, the only difference is that now it's not just freedom, it's the cost of freedom
it is technically about freedom still. except its only freedom for one side. the other gets annihilated

The theme of never giving up and fighting against oppression has been twisted into something darker. Now it's about destroying anything that threatens said freedom, no matter the cost.
Eren does know how to make unpredictable entries.
And every time he does he has complete control over the situation, from the minute he walks in everyone's aware that he's in power here. The man's 10 steps ahead

Just think of it like this... If one of the anime characters say something close to, "You're just like someone I know" or "You are just like him/her." Then there are sound effects like doors or explosion... Then you'll know that character they knew will just pop out.
You are honestly a blessing to the AoT commuinty right now. Making these covers literally hours after the episode airs, constantly every week, and they all sound AMAZING. You are honestly incredible. I hope you know that. You have all my respect and appreciation!

You know, Isayama really made Sasha shine. She was hardly a character as developed as Armin but I used to think Sasha was kinda like the light of main group who kept things easy. A fun character, a mood maker. I was wrong.
Sasha is among the very few people who was a genuine light in this fucked world of SnK and the very main example of Eldians not being devils. She broke the chains of hatred binding Nicolo.
And then we have her father displaying uncontested kindness and understanding towards both Gabi and him.
Like father like daughter. Braus family is the best.

This is one of the best scene I've ever scene , nicolo's love, mr.brau's monologue , kaya's sudden emotional attack , gabi's realisation , falco's innosence...
God can there be any more suffering.
It really shocks me how Sasha's story was to end before but one accident gave me the best love story I could ever ask for.
This scene was so heartbreaking because of the fact that it feels like they have to bury Sasha twice.. She died in the war and her body was buried and what little peace the family had was the idea that she was a soldier and soldiers die in wars unfortunately... But then to face the person who killed your daughter and to do the honorable thing and spare that person’s life is grief exponentially experienced.. You’re metaphorically picking at a wound that was stitched two days ago... This transitioned beautifully and the ost created and recreated by you to grip us back to that moment, great job... SMH they just went there to try and get a fucking break from Sasha’s death and to have a peaceful lunch 😩😩
This OST made the whole scene crazily tense... today's episode was quite a masterpiece.
I don't usually cry for TV shows video games, anime... anything really, so when I found myself on the brink of tears halfway through this episode, it really is a testament to how good this show is, and how invested I am in the story

Idk why but this whole restaurant scene made cry more than Sasha's death scene.
Same, it’s seeing the pain caused by Gabi’s actions that really hurt. Poor niccolo found his happiness and Gabi took that, by committing revenge for her fallen friends she caused others to wish for her death as revenge.
Also just seeing the family in so much pain and the cries of Kaya in the background was so sad 😭

I recommend all of you guys to rewatch that Sasha Episode in season 2 (S02E02).
What he says about children of the forest and being hunted carries so much weight when u revisit that episode
The Mappa and Isayama combi really pays off in these emotional dialogue-driven sequences between characters.
I personally think Nicollo had the best VA performance in all of AOT with this episode. Man had me bawling.
Niccolo's VA was straight up flexin this episode.
Another beautifully power piece elevating the scene's emotional impact. Couldn't of asked for anything more from this episode overall.

Narratively this scene was so powerful I almost end up in tears of excitement xD can't really describe why or how . Such an amazing work they did with the whole scene .

@@boianko Killing Gabi is not just revenge though. She's the most competent Warrior candidate in Marley. A literal elite soldier with near inhuman levels of patriotic zeal.
She singlehandedly has killed 3 survey corps members and destroyed an armored train. She is hands down the best sniper in the entirety of Attack on Titan. Marley itself is launching it's attack early to save the Warrior candidates because their strategic importance is so high.
The right choice on a moral and strategic level is to kill Gabi.

Additionally, I have no idea in what fucked up world killing a 12-year old child can ever be considered to be the "right moral choice".
There is such a thing as a prisoner of war, so killing her just for being on the enemy's side is not really strategically necessary when they have her captured.

Later she uses an antitian riffe to kill titans mid flight with inhuman levels of precision.
This whole scene was very powerful. To Turn an entire War anime into an emotional drama with such a great impact is an amazing feat that is very praiseworthy of not only Isayama, but everyone at Studio Mappa who gave life to this scene straight from the manga pages it came from 👏. And thanks Samuel Kim for also giving life to this scene with this ost

Niccolo has honestly become one of my favorite characters after such a short time knowing him; he just breaks my heart 😭😢 he loved Sasha so much, she was the only thing to bring him joy, her and her love of his cooking... The fact that floch was some side character in season 3 to him being menacingly cool this season is a pure example of why aot is one of the best anime. DNC it’s my opinion

I waited a long time to listen to this one because this part was so heartbreaking; this whole episode was, honestly. Don't get me wrong; it was very well done, and listening to your AoT covers, in particular, helped me process everything. But this part was so hard that I just subconsciously hesitated to even process it, I guess. But now that I finally have listened to it, it really helps. Mr. Braus's monologue - this whole scene, actually - is, to me, the summarized warning of the entire show about the consequences of prejudice, racism, hatred, and war. And this song articulates that warning perfectly. Thanks for putting such care into your work and helping us all process this remarkable story and its important messages.
Niccolo’s & gabi’s va’s need an award after this episode
Eiji Hanawa is such an incredible voice actor, he made an already impactful scene in the manga something else entirely for the anime. He did an amazing job with Jiren in DBS. Amazing cover, this music was so powerful to have in the background of that scene!
It’s crazy how this whole scene starts with happy music and the Braus family excited to eat some good food, then slowly devolves into one of the saddest scenes in the show.

She wasn't nessesary, it's purposely ambiguous.
Maybe yes, but in aot isayama purposely didn't allow his characters to express their love since they were all soldiers in time of war like wehn mikasa always fails to express her love to eren or armin to annie..

This has quickly become one of the best episodes of the season. This is what it was in like season two. Emotional, mysterious, dreadful, and some really in depth characters. Season 4 is really hitting the feels.

poor nicolo... this is one of the best pieces of music i have ever heard. the incorporated motiffs from all the older pieces, especially the warhammer theme part being worked in and altered is beautiful. thank you so much for this sam....you have motivated me through some dark times this year, primarily while my wife was away. i have been playing guitar over some of these tracks to learn em too wanna make my own covers of this whole ost eventually using synths and irl guitars.
This theme is now my fav, and I like the way it builds up in this episode, it's so cool! I also like how every time this theme is played, there's a different way of presenting it (maybe to fit the scene/situation, I guess). Nevertheless, thank you for your arrangements, Samuel!
Because just hearing it makes me cry?😢 Poor Nicolo who lost the woman he loved, despite being Eldiana, and do you know what the worst part is? It's that we don't know if Sasha was in love with Nicolo or not, and that makes me cry for the man 😭.

If Grisha had the attitude that Sasha's father did, maybe Eren wouldn't be the way he is now.
Even Grisha's character is so deep, he grew up hell bent on destroying the outside world, freeing Eldia by any means, he wanted to take charge.
Greisha was blinded by fear and anger he was stuck in the cycle of violence
He truly did love eren, mikasa and Carla. He really did try his best to be a good father but he had to continue his mission
To me, this is one of the greatest scenes in Attack on Titan. The scene explains the spoils of war, discussing the good and bad on both sides. More importantly, none of the main characters are present in it.
Season 4 is literally the longest i hung on a cliff for any anime, show or movie ..
AOT has some of the best music.

the scene that Gabi said she lost some important people too... it really hurts, i mean no one can take a side. everyone in AOT is so helpless in his/her position.
These two are so well matched. Thats what makes it even more tragic. In your mind you can see them 50 years later, together, enjoying life with no war in it. All the things we wish for, hm :/

When Gabi said "she was the one who started it?" and Niccolo said "who gives a damn who started it" before this season started I knew two people was going to have this conversation I knew it, but I didn't think it was going to be people from they're side
Don’t get me wrong I love Sawano past scores but this season definitely has a different feel. This sounds like a war movie score instead of an anime and has this cinematic feel that really goes well with the heavy themes of the season.
