Hello Lovely! Subscribe to this channel! bit.ly/SubscribeParisienneFarmgirl and I'd love for you to join my OLD WORLD DESIGN SOCIETY here www.parisiennefarmgirl.com/old-world-design-society/
That was my first response...I sighed to myself that she was not going to use the grill. Having spent a lot of time in Paris and Europe myself, I think the grill adds an ambiance of unique charm and sets the window apart from ordinary oval windows.
I love the window metalwork! It looks very French to me, not at all 1970's. Joel does a wonderful job with turning your ideas into reality. You have a real gift! God Bless!!
That window has the same grill on it as our screen door. did but it was more from the 1940's ..so maybe a little more antique than you think😘when you figure out your stone wall l will be interested because l want to do one in my kitchen....been considering. wallpaper but l would love to see something better.
I totally agree about the grille in the window. As soon as I saw it I was like…wow that’s beautiful! I think if you paint it white, it would look stunning with the muted blue. And think if the shadow it might cast in the room. I don’t think it looks 70’s at all. Seriously I would rethink that design element.
While watching your videos, I keep thinking of the adage, "Behind every great or successful man is a great woman." I'm thinking you are able to be the woman you are and have your dreams come true the way you do because you have a great man undergirding you, making your dreams and visions come true and your successes become a reality. It's amazing what a woman can do with a good man behind her. You are truly blessed. ;-)
It is amazing what anyone can do when they have good support. But, not everyone has the eye and skill of envisioning things like she does^^, without that it would not be as succesful as these projects are.
I just want to say thank for your videos I'm am 15 yrs old and you really inspire me to go out and fulfil my dreams when I get older I wanted to do a british country house and just by watching you videos inspires me to do that and to keep my faith In the Lord, thank you and God Bless you and your family
I love the oblong window; would not remove the metal insert though; I would place a couple of stained glass into the diamond shapes so when the sun shines through into the bathroom, it would be magical.
Angela check out Wabi Sab - E RUclips channel Bathroom Renovation. They are a young couple who are remodeling an old farmhouse and they show how they got their cast iron tub upstairs. All of their videos are great!
I just paused the video and wanted to say thank you for making one showing your process of transformation. I have many rooms I want to redo and this is great inspiration! Please do more videos like this. And now back to press play . . .
Hello from Portugal dear Angela! 😉 Love all your videos! ❤️ Please, let the iron bars on the window!!! Please!!! It gives chatacter to the piece and makes it unique and very special! And it gives that look like french châteux attics that you are looking for. I’ m looking for seeing the final result!!!
I love the grill, so beautiful. I shopped at two of the biggest flea markets in Paris with my daughter. The most beautiful experience and shopping was divine. I found lots of white french linens, vintage CHANEL compacts and a little lingerie iron with ironing board. My daughter and I looked through bins, boxes and tables overflowing with clothes. Cannot wait to go back. I love all you do. Catherine❤️🇨🇦❤️Toronto.
Old World Design makes me feel happy! It's personal, detailed, colorful--nothing anonymous about it. I look forward to seeing your bathroom progress! :)
When you said you were going to "press the mermaids into the mortar," I had a heart palpation. 😂 YES PLEASE TO THAT! Ohh my gosh this bathroom is going to be EPIC! I'm so thrilled for you! ♡
Oh Angela, I think from what you were showing us there I see that you and I have very similar taste with a lot of design and decor. I absolutely love nautical themes, rustic, natural materials and romantic charm. Your nack for finding a bargain or finding something previously unloved and upcycling/revamping it is to be admired. You have a definite gift from the Lord there. I honestly could watch your content for hours but I'd never get anything done however I can watch it on the go sometimes. 😁
I really admire the confidence you have in your style. I often have dreams of something richer for my home but I end up backing out and going for something that seems more safe. I really gain a lot from your videos. Thank you. :)
I love seeing a project when it's still in progress! Love the window and chandelier ideas! I just bought an antique chandelier for our bedroom makeover! ❤
I use to have a similar window in my last cottage I lived in. The window was quite deep enough for me to sit in and look out at my garden and just admire and dream. 😊 My husband bought an old bath with the feet and taps still attached and we use it as a hot bath outside under the stars 😂🔥🛀🌟 Sounds like your bathroom will be amazing! Look forward to seeing it. 😍
Wooow Angela! I admire you so much! There is literally nothing you cannot do! Thank you for your beautiful, inspirational video. Wish you a beautiful Sunday and a great start to the new week and to your projects! Much love XX
When I was a little girl, my mom had these plaster fish, they were blue; there was a girl and boy or Mr. And Mrs... anyway, maybe they were cheesy 70's bobbles, but I loved them! They made me want to live in the sea. Anyway, I don't remember exactly what they look like ...it's been a long time, and I don't know what happened to them, and can't ask my mom. This just reminded me of them. Thanks for showing us the "trenches" of remodeling. You and Joel always do such amazing work!💕😘😘😘
I have noticed the wall sinks inside chateaus too, usually in the hall leading off the gardens. My hubby found one at a yard sale for $10 last fall. I freaked out.
I've loved that little French sink since you first found it months ago. As someone who is allergic to white rooms, white walls, etc, etc, etc. and very much into rich, lush and Old World Interiors, I am looking forward to your new venture "Old World Society".
Absolutely love all your ideas!!! This is truly what creating a home is about , bringing to life, a feeling . Thank you for offering these videos as inspiration, they are certainly a treasure!
I love being able to see the process of DIYs. If it's easier on you... Short vlog snippets edited together, no on camera time, just voiceover works for me... I have no doubt it's going to be beautiful when complete 🌊🧜🏾♀️🧜🏾♂️💙🔱
This is just what I needed as I am sitting here finishing off my coffee, and working up my courage to continue this everlasting project that is my youngest sons bedroom. This went to a hoult nearly a year ago when covid and garden and homeschooling all hit at once. But now I am so ready to get it finished before spring is all over me again :D
Fantastic can’t wait to see more ,so very happy for you and your family with a new project that will bring many relaxing moments . Love Joanne . Take care and be safe .
Gotta say Joel is a treasure too. You guys work so well together. And with a family that size - going out on dates isn't so easy. Soooo you guys have am coffee dates before the day starts. Fantastic idea.. you are both fantastic! :)
Hello Angela, glad to see this video your bathroom suite will look gorgeous with those rustic antiques, and that stonewall that will be going up.. and that oval window ‘WOW’.... can’t wait till the next step you guys take...❤️ it... 👍
I was inspired by my grandmother’s bathroom, it was decorated a little Grecian. Yes, 70s style. So when we extended our house I found marble tile for a really good price, white with grey veining. All because of my grandma’s bathroom. I’ll probably do it in our new house again.
Hello. I just found your Channel, My sister told me to watch and see if something was familiar I saw our Tea Tin it’s on your desk to the right and it has a plant in it my mother got the same tin, in 1955 when she was in England and my sister to this day still has keeps tea in it it was very nice to see !
Once I visited a tiny castle under renovation, turned in a kind of guesthouse. As bathroom sink they cut old tables in half, screwed them on the wall, a porcelaine wash dish on top and voila and antique unique looking bathroom furniture (epoxy sealing of the wood recommended).
The reason I started watching you was because you showed you and Joel working together remodeling your beautiful home , and I’ve MISSED you showing you and Joel working, together, I beg you , go back to this 🙏🏻 you looked beautiful today ♥️
Eeek! I'm so excited for this space! Love, love, love your theme and of course Navy!! Jealous for that claw foot tub. Both my husband and I want one. Some day Angela...some day. 💋
Congrats on your first master bath! Still working on saving up for mine 💕 so fun to see you interact with Joel! He’s a trooper! My husband is a huge blessing but Lord knows he hates fixing things up if it’s not something we really require having. All my projects are just me with my 5 kids and very few skills 😅 can not wait to see the bath all decorated. Your vision is incredible
Oh Angela, I am SO EXCITED for your New Bathroom!! 💖💖💖💖 How dreamy!!! And I LOVE your sink!! It's PERFECT!!! 💖💖💖. For the Old World Society, is it a monthly fee or a yearly fee? I am so tired of the Farmhouse trend and am making changes to go more Victorian/English Cottage! I live in a 650 sq foot apartment. But I want it to feel like my Guests experience a "time back" when they come to visit. Plus my Hubby and I LOVE Antique and Vintage pieces. So watching you is getting those creative juices flowing!! Thank you!! ☺️😊☺️
I am so glad you bought that window! It's perfection! We have dormer/skylights which are new to me so I'll be looking forward to see how you utilize yours.
Hello I watch you all the time but never comment ! I love this episode and I might just join your old world society ! My name is Angela as well and I live in Traverse city and I love your footage on the beach just like our beaches but a little darker sand ! Thank you for being you.
We found a romanesque bas relief on sale at Petsmart. It was intended to go in the back of an aquarium, but it seemed to me that it really needed to be installed in a wall somewhere or possibly as a point of interest in a mantel. But now I think it could possibly go in the bathroom. It's definitely too pretty to go in the back of an aquarium!
Angela - you are killing it with all of your endeavors! I listen to EVERY Homemaker Chic podcast, love your RUclips channel, and am part of your Old World Design Society hoping for lots of inspiration. Thanks for all of your hard work!
I can’t believe this, I’ve been looking for a French garden wall sink here in Paris for our powder and can’t find one, and yet you found one in North Wisconsin! Not fair! Envious but happy for you. And of course the window is to die for. Looks like a window from the upper reaches of the Académie Française and the Louvre. It will be perfect in that spot.
I really enjoy Pinterest. I am going to like your finished project. I'm happy for you to have your laundry upstairs. Better than constantly hauling dirty clothes downstairs. Or like I did for my daughter when I did her laundry I kicked it down the stairs. It was crazy.
Your bathroom is going to be amazing when it is finished!!! Id like to make over a lot of our home but, out of the budget for now and I'd like to wait until the kids are little older and slightly less destructive. 😆
wow, your plans all are wonderful! I am part of Old World Design Society, loving it so far...oh under name Jacky Luetschwager. I have too many names...ahahah

The window grille makes it unique, and I think quite Parisian--definitely not 70s. Can we vote on keeping it? = )
That was my first response...I sighed to myself that she was not going to use the grill. Having spent a lot of time in Paris and Europe myself, I think the grill adds an ambiance of unique charm and sets the window apart from ordinary oval windows.
Agree! I love the grate. It makes the window so special. Without it just looks like an oval window.
Keep the grill 👍
Your 💡 are pretty
I actually said No Please that’s the beauty so Parisian , out loud ☺️ .
I love the grille in the window. It's gorgeous and quite french I think.
I love the window. I like the metal inside too. It makes it look french
Call me crazy, I like the iron rails on the window. They are different and unusual and decorative at the same time.
I love the window metalwork! It looks very French to me, not at all 1970's. Joel does a wonderful job with turning your ideas into reality. You have a real gift! God Bless!!

It is amazing what anyone can do when they have good support.

@@catnip1487 Yes, it's the beautiful dance of a reciprocally nourishing relationship, where each appreciates the other's strengths and gifts.
I love the metal over the window, it reminds me of ‘babes in toyland’.
I just want to say thank for your videos I'm am 15 yrs old and you really inspire me to go out and fulfil my dreams when I get older I wanted to do a british country house and just by watching you videos inspires me to do that and to keep my faith In the Lord, thank you and God Bless you and your family
I love the grill too. This is so exciting. I can’t wait to watch the process.
I love the oblong window; would not remove the metal insert though; I would place a couple of stained glass into the diamond shapes so when the sun shines through into the bathroom, it would be magical.
I think the grille is AMAZING --and reminds me of the decorative metalwork in Paris. I love it!
I cannot wait to see this finished...and I'm sure you are too! Navy is my new favorite home decor color too~ So rich and timeless. Happy renovation!😘
Our power has been out for 8 days. I needed something beautiful today. Thank you. 💕
I'm so sorry. Just wanted you to know I'm praying for all those like you not having electricity. I'm praying sunshine and continued sunshine.

Ann Macdonnell YES! I Love Hanna and Elliot, they are so fun, funny and talented!
It was a great video on how to get that tub upstairs.

It's always nice when I'm scrolling youtube and see a new video of yours pop up!
You must be so excited! Have you ever thought about a painted floor, either with a stencil or tile that looks like a painted floor?
Love the iron decoration bit on that oval window actually, taking that off would take away some of its uniqueness.
Agreed.
I love the grill, so beautiful. I shopped at two of the biggest flea markets in Paris with my daughter. The most beautiful experience and shopping was divine. sharing your love of many things here... especially the winged mermaids find, the window, and the clawfooted bathtub...so delightful!!!
Old World Design makes me feel happy! It's personal, detailed, colorful--nothing anonymous about it. I look forward to seeing your bathroom progress! :)
Yes, the window and stone wall will be great. Glad you are getting your hearts desire. Blessings.
I love the metalwork that is applied to the window. I don't think of it as looking like it's from the 1970s. It looks very nice to me.
When you said you were going to "press the mermaids into the mortar," I had a heart palpation. 😂 YES PLEASE TO THAT! Ohh my gosh this bathroom is going to be EPIC! I'm so thrilled for you! ♡
I’m obsessed with mermaids, too! I’ve decorated my bathroom with mermaids for years. I can’t wait to see the finished product!

I have noticed the wall sinks inside chateaus too, usually in the hall leading off the gardens. My hubby found one at a yard sale for $10 last fall. I freaked out.
I found exactly the same on eBay. They have a few very pretty ones. Unfortunately I can’t use them 🤷🏻♀️

I think that grill looked like it was from an aluminum front screen door. It will be lovely 🥰
I agree with keping the metal work.
Athena meets Mermaid, we're all dying to see that!
Love the items you picked out! 💖

First to comment! What a treat! Thank you for being such an inspiration - we are about to renovate our ensuite and this is perfect timing! 🙏🏼😊
