I have the same little Victor Talking Machine...model VI, featured in your intro...a cute little machine. It's a part of my vintage phonograph collection, as well as some 3000 vintage 78's to play on them!
The first pieces that caught my vision was the group of toy railroad cars...I love model railroading, especially vintage Lionel Trains! These were not Lionel, however looked like they would be great display items. I live in San Francisco, and most thrift shops are gone, leaving a Sal. Army and a couple of small Goodwill Stores still in operation. All the estate sale companies are gone due to the Covid situation. Hope they will come back on line one of these days. This makes youtube my virtual thrifting adventure, as a number or video producers, such as yourself present very interesting adventures!
Your girls are lovely. I always took my daughter with me when she was younger, now she's a pro, better than myself. They will always treasure this time with you. As always loved all your treasure, thanks for taking us along
Yes, I am trying to be more of a minimalist in the area of closets, drawers & cabinets, but I would never consider giving up my precious home decor - to me, that is what makes a house a home - I have been combing through flea markets & antique malls for probably 30 years now & I have found many treasures !
Angela. I was looking up your thrift find of Farrier and Family Physician book and on Abe Books site the first edition is 354.00! They have a few copies but none of them a below 100.00 dollars. What a great find.
Oh wow l saw you had a trolley !! ... My Mum would take my Sister and l to flea markets and we would run the things she bought back to our car ... she was an avid purchaser and we were exhausted by the end of the day but we always got a whole heap of stuff as well 🤗😊
I’ve been missing you... and this video was perfect plus a flea or vintage market to see what treasures you found is so fun to watch. I’d love to see a home tour or a few room tours in the near future. xoxo Jen
Thank you Angela for taking me looking with you and your darling daughters. Due to health concerns I can no longer do those big shows, so you gave me a big treat.
loved that trip and the things you bought, If ever you come across Scottish tweed scarves, throws or blankets don't pass them by there is only one traditional tweed mill left in Scotland and who knows how long it will survive. UK
I have one serious complaint with your videos, I just keep wanting more and I have binged watched everyone already! Nothing better than making a cup of tea and spending time with your family. I always enjoy everything!
I'm Gwenda. David is my son... Oh how I've enjoyed this trifling trip!! You and I must be of the same blood because I love everything you bought and picked up!! The French heater and the oil painting of the fishermen !!! I knew you should get them!!! Lovely finds!! The Lord has blessed you on your trip for sure !!! Thank you for allowing me to go with you!
Wow girl you really did find some goodies. So excited for you. I came across a wonderful picture of the Victorian age and it showed a portly man asleep on a chair positioned with a page of music dangling from his hand and some pages on the floor by his chair with both arms down by his sides, by a lovely piano with a young lady in a beautiful gown, turned away from him with a book in her hand and she was smiling like a little conspiratol smile to herself. When I saw that it made me smile and laugh. So I bought it. I was thrilled. But ya know what's better than all the wonderful old things in the world is that Your Name and mine are recorded in The Lambs Book Of Life! That is pretty awesome. It's a consoling thought in such a dark world. I wander how your weather is? We have had rain, rain and more rain or just clouds. Everything in the garden is doing good but could use some more sunshine.
It would be nice for you to mention prices of items that you are perusing. It's interesting to see what these items are going for in other parts of the country. Makes for a more interesting video too!. Thanks.
Oh, Angela, it was almost like being there. You did such a good job of letting us walk along with you and see the array of items available. There seemed to be such a good spirit among the people. Congratulations on your finds. :)
Angela, how do I find the dates for future Elkhorn flea markets?? I can't find them; do you have a website for them? This looked like so much fun with your darling girls!
I wouldn't have been able to walk away from the drawing table y9u strolled by, or the oval frame under the painting you bought and there was a white ornate door topper thing-y that would have had to find a home in my studio to be. But I am inspired to get a shopping cart for when the world is back to normal.
I was shopping too. I thought the “bee lady” was sassy 😂😂 I asked her a price and she was snippy 😜. I bought a bunch of Anna Lee dolls. And the sweet corn booth - so good!
There really is no better way to spend time, that perusing an antiques fair. Really enjoyed living vicariously through you. Great treasures. My heart skipped a little when you said Victor Hugo, as I was born in Guernsey in The Channel Islands, where he lived. Lots of love Oldworldcottage ❤️
Hi, the algorithm brought you to my attention. Do you often get to France? We live in Brittany and we’ve hopped over the channel for years before we moved here permanently. I enjoyed your vide grenier, especially the poêle à bois. We have a Godin cuisinière à bois and an invicta poele a bois in our living room.
Great video..thank you for taking us along.. Just giddy! So excited that you're back! I know you needed the break and I'm so glad you had that time with your family and garden, even though selfishly we wanted wanted you too. 💋
Hi Angela,so glad to see you again I have missed all of you” ll The kids are getting so big and so going to the flea market is one of my favorites so just keep them coming.
Loved the flea market! Adrenaline flows! Look forward to our next visit! Be you! By the way , your Eliot friend owes you a thrifted box & then film the opening! Can you tell her? 🤗
Elkhorn flea market is really good...certainly the best in the area. Whenever I see something really sweet in a magazine and writer boasts that they bought it at a flea market, I think seriously, what flea market??? Well, Elkhorn is just such a market. The Cedarburg market is smaller and not quite the same flavor, but not too bad. It is nice to see the girls tagging along with you and freely sharing their opinions 😊. Enjoy your summer !
Three Oaks, MI, had the Randolph Street Market in harbor county this past weekend but I had to get my garden finished. 😭 They are scheduled for 5 more weekends so hopefully I’ll get there. Love seeing your finds! Julie 🌷
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Absolutely enjoyed this video!!!! You are so fortunate to have found complete set of croquet (wires cannot be found here in NC with sets).
Thanks for the video. I do love brocante, and living in Belgium on the border with France, this is one of my favourite things to do. There is actually, once a year, in the city of Lille (15 min from my home) the biggest flea market in the world. Every first weekend of September. The city turnes into a gigantic flea market, a real joy!
I want those old pots. I want everything. Nothing like those things out here in CA. I had this old gathering basket, very large and flattish and my gardener threw it away!!
Thank you so much for this video. I love watching flea market shopping. Thank you for sharing Trade with us also, I was searching for great coffee for my sweetheart. I chose the Joe Brown Blend and Airship Black Apple Espresso...he's going to love them!
❤️❤️❤️ I watched this twice in a row!! So fun to get out and shop with you and watch you score amazing things! ❤️❤️❤️ so fun! Your beautiful as always. Enjoy your finds dear friend. ☺️
Love to see all of the treasures you find! I’m dying to see a garden tour this year do you think you’ll have time for one of those this year I know you have a lot on your plate BTW the old world society magazine is fantastic!
Angela! I went to a flea market years ago with my middle sister and found 6 dining chairs in 70's vinyl upholstery. Since I have a chair fetish and was taking an upholstery class, I bought them. The young man who helped us to my car (a 1990 Honda Civic hatch back) said, "You'll never get all these chairs in there." My sister, who loves puzzles, and I who was determined, looked at each other and smiled. Before long we got all 6 chairs in and the hatch shut. The young man was dumbfounded and said, "I can't believe you did it!" I said, "There! Now you have a great story to tell, and have learned to never underestimate determined women!"😂
@@paulajohnson7075 Me, too ! Although, I once fit a length of old picket fence into the back seat of a 2 door Jaguar ! Nothing gonna stop us girls from taking home our treasures ! I still have that picket fence, too, about 25 years later ! 🥰
Angela, I loved this road trip, thank you for sharing! I love the antique French wood burner! Next time you head down to Elkhorn make sure to stop by Vintage of Ada by Elkhart Lake, it is adorable!! And also Pilgrim Antique Mall in Germantown, it is awesome!! Though you may need to bring a trailer to haul back your treasures 😉😀❤️
I love all your finds, especially the books! I wish I had a substantial flea market close by. ♡ I can feel the resurgence of garage sales this year. Last year I didn't go to a single one! 🥺
Just started watching video, and i have to say you introduced me to Trade many months ago, and have been hooked ever since. Even if you do not get the 50% off, it is so worth it, so Thanks Angela, its one of my very favorite things! :) now back to the video.
Just lovely, Angela! I am salivating! Our shops are opening back up tomorrow at 25% capacity, and I am so excited to go antiquing and thrifting - this has given me all the inspiration!

Hi! I keep a few flattened cardboard boxes in my van, they slide very well over carpeting to get heavy items in. A big one protects the carpet.

Love the flea market trip, so many treasures. Your oil painting of the sailors is fabulous. Blessings.
Should be framed and restored - if it's worth it. The paint looks damaged.
