We live in Germany and our house is 450 years old and this year I got my bathroom just for me. The plumber is good but wanted me to have a modern one- no way - he grumbled "Scheiße" English bath (I was born in England) we sourced it in Spain - same swear word for the sink - its Polish Bolesławiec and my wallpaper is Italian the floor is German. Enjoy the peace your own bathroom brings it taking time makes it all the better.

my guy and I just finished painting an old Victorian coal shed attached to our house to turn it into a proper laundry room. The lime mortar is sealed and the walls look much brighter. The new oak window is also wonderful. Next, beadboard ceiling, flooring, new worktops, and a drop down ironing board which I’ve always wanted. Part of the fun of renovation is the anticipaation of how it will look, and then the pleasure you get knowing that you made it happen. Good luck on your new bathroom and enjoy the process. The fixtures and fittings you selected are lovely and a reflection of you.

What a feast of luscious color will surround you. I think the curving, sinuous lines in the two wallpapers will have as much of a coordinating effect as the teal. I’m afraid I couldn’t make out the name of that fabulous narrow, flat object with the little sculpted-looking woman’s face at the top. I’d love to know what it is, and where it will go. It has such a wonderful fin-de-siecle art nouveau vibe ♥️♥️♥️. This is all very exciting.

Look into a solar tube. They are much easier to install than a skylight and provide great light. We have three and LOVE them.
