It's not a CVT transmission, it's an Ecvt. I think it's important to make this distinction because the CVT transmission is known to be unreliable. I'm not a mechanic, but from my research, an Ecvt is much more reliable and is totally different in design. I have a 2023 XLT hybrid. When Ford announced the Maverick hybrid, I was not planning to buy one when many people incorrectly reported it had a CVT. Once I learned it's actually an Ecvt, I pulled the trigger.
It took 14 months to get my XL hybrid and I'm happy with it....I seldom haul anything and got it for the gas savings.....It has a very nice ride and plenty of room....Its worth the 25k.....
Picked up my Lariat Hybrid three weeks ago. So far, it's probably the best vehicle I've ever bought. I wanted Adaptive Cruise Control and it only came in the Lariat, so I bit the bullet and got one without a moon roof (pinched pennies where I could). But every other luxury feature makes this a choice purchase.
Thanks for the video. Lots of good info! If I'm not mistaken, the average gas savings on the Hybrid vs the AWD is $3,500 over a five year period, not a one year period. I ordered an Oxford White XLT Hybrid Maverick when the order banks opened on July 17, 2023. My truck is currently in production and should be completed any day now. The wife and I have a major road trip (3,500 - 4,000 miles) coming up in July, touring the entire state of Wyoming and ending up back home in Texas. Can't wait.
I’ve had my 2024 maverick hybrid for 6 months and I’m saving $120-150 per month over my 2019 Subaru crosstrek. I do a lot of mixed highway and city driving. I’m getting 41.8 mpg combined and I don’t baby it, like a lot of people that claim to get more. Still, that’s fantastic gas mileage! It has a comfortable ride, more pep than a crosstrek, which was a complete dog. So, slow. Especially, going up long hills. There are aspects of the crosstrek that I do love, but 21 mpg in the city is unacceptable in 2024. Is the maverick perfect? No. But, overall, I’m happy with it
Take a look at Heller Ford in El Paso, IL. They have new and used. They don't markup ordered vehicles, but new on the lot is small, maybe $5K markup. Ask for Pete Oldham.
Is the AWD any good on the Maverick? I live on the east coast so we do get snow but if the AWD isn’t great I’d rather save the money and get the FWD version
I haven't driven the AWD yet. This Hybrid only comes with FWD. If you want AWD, you have to go to the 2.0L turbo engine and drop to around mid 20s MPG. Most AWD systems work well, most of the time it's the weight of the Vehicle that determines how well it manages snow.
@@richardburtonjr1889 I expected better MPG. My previous car was a 5.0 V8 Mustang and its gets better if not the same gas mileage as the Tremor. The 1 inch ride height increase and all-terrain tires might have something to do with it but by no means this truck is sluggish or feels heavy. I've been doing some light-off roading in the desert and never had to use 4WD lock or the locking rear diff. The AWD system is amazing. So is it worth the extra $$$? I'm happy with the Tremor but I think the 4k tow package would have been a better choice.
Lol, on the Ford Accessories website they have alternate colors you can switch out. Thanks for the compliment. I hope you continue to enjoy the content!
I'm curious how tall are you? Are you right at 6"? Was the seat all the way back where you had it? I'm 6'4" and have considered one of these for my next vehicle but was thinking I may not fit well in the drivers seat..
Yes, I am right a t 6'. But no, the seat was not all the way back. I tend to drive a bit closer than most. You will have plenty of room in the front driver seat....the back is another question...lol
I'm 6' 2.5". It's a bit cramped. The side of my left leg rest against the side of the door. I have to move it occasionally as it becomes a mildly uncomfortable. But all an all, I like my 2024 XLT. It runs great and it is easy on the gas.

It's not that simple..some of us only get what they send us. I'm sure others, Redline Reviews, Doug Demuro, Raiti's Rides get to pick and choose more often but most of take whatever we can get!
I get your point, but when your a small channel, you just need to make content. All of us, large or small, do review the current year models. Some people only want to see a review from certain reviewers, so we review everything we can. If you look a Raiti's Rides and Redline Reviews, they are putting up reviews almost daily....they don't pass on cars. If you've already seen it, you can choose not to watch it. But I hope you enjoy the channel and I can provide you with reviews you want to see. Thanks for watching!
@eliaaronoct How bout you just don't watch? It's much easier than typing out a complaint that nobody wants to hear or read. Most of us like the variety of reviews and can piece together info from each. Reviews can vary slightly.
It's around $2200 and it does include a lot of stuff, but the only thing I saw of interest for me was the remote start and heated seats, which wouldn't justify the cost for me.

If you are looking for a smaller truck, with comfort and some truck abilities(towing and a bed), then the Maverick with the 2.0L engine or possibly the Hyundai Santa Cruz . The Santa Cruz feels and drives like an SUV. The Maverick gives me that early 2000's Ford Ranger feel. These giant pickups serve no functional purpose other than carrying fragile egos and giving people the feeling that they are better than everyone else on the road. Just look at the size of the bed. you can't even fit a sheet of plywood back there.
Calm down Mack and eat a SNICKERS. Owning a $65,000 + pickup 4x4 is a waste of money if the concrete cowboys won't get their trucks dirty, dented and used for what their intended for.
@@offtheshelfrides I think they were referring to giant lifted 3/4 ton crewcabs with 5 ft beds. Even though they can probably carry plywood but not much more for 70-90k.

Mine, starting running mpg 41.3
Now 2 years later is 34.2 combine

Accelerator mapping, maybe more low end torque?
