- Hey guys! In this video I figure out what is the best Maono mic. I do this by comparing the 4 Maono USB condenser microphones that I own to each other. They are the Maono PM421, Maono AU-A04, Maono PM401, and the Maono PM461TR. Aside from the PM461TR, they are all USB condenser microphone bundle kits, which include a boom arm stand, pop filter, wind muff, and shock mount. Let me know which microphone you think sounds the best!

Good work on these videos, was deciding between other Maono Microphones.
I'll definitely eye for the PM401, there are other competitors now such as the PM422 and the AU-903.

So i've searched online and I have seen OTG adapters that have an additional port for charging, but I've never personally tried it out to see how well it works

Would a pm401 or a Razer Seiren Mini be better for just talking with friends and the occasional keyboard sound test. Im very split between the two and cant decide which to get
I would recommend getting Fifine K658 or Fifine a6t. The K658 is a better quality but the a6t is probably one of the best budget microphones

Hi thanks for your videos on the MAONO microphones, as a newb exploring content creation & podcasting your video became my baseline for buying my first mic. I was leading towards PM 461TR as a beginner but then ran into some ques. I couldn't ans. but you just did, except I went w/ AT 2020USBO+ as it was on sale new & I thought it would give me more growing room ? Ques. is if a microphone doesn't come w/ a mute button can you use a keyboard key or combo to do a hands off mute? Again thank you for clear concise edu. mic videos. Tobias since you have such a simplistic clear non boring way of explaining things, that I would really appreciate a short concise instructional video to Video Conferencing or Video chatting.

Hi, sorry for my late reply! no, usually there will be a slight delay of just a few milliseconds or so, not really enough to be noticeable and I think it sounds pretty good, but technically it won't be "0 latency" when plugging your headphones into the computer

Have you considered reviewing the AU-PM461S?
I have thought about it, but I think that it might be the same as the PM461TR, except it comes with a boom arm stand instead of the tripod desk stand. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the TR might stand for "tripod" and the S might stand for. "stand"
@@TobiasHolenstein Hmm, it sounds like you're right on this one. I decided to order it anyways. I've seen a lot of your videos comparing the PM461 to other mics and it's impressive how it competes and sometimes even out performs more expensive mics.

Hi, the pm421 does not have monitoring, however there is a mic pretty similar to the PM421 called the PM422. I haven't tried this mic out, but it looks very similar to the PM421 except it also has a headphone jack on it. By the way, if you are recording to a computer, you can also use the software monitoring in your software and plug your headphones into your computer 🙂

No, usb mic doesn't need phantom power, only xlr

Hi, are you using the microphone on your computer? If you are you should be able to increase your input gain in your system preferences

461TR - TR tripod stand only
461TR rgb - yeah RGB
they all 461 but bundle included the difference base on Official Asia Maono page
their actually a TS version but its TS version which included metal shield and protection ring

For me all the microphones sound the same just the difference is in their physical body. In my opinion the aupm421 look the best out of the four...
