    If you're in the US, this is available at a great deal. $799 for the higher configuration 16GB RAM/512GB storage model, with an additional $100 taken off with a trade in of ANY device in ANY condition (you can save even more if you trade in a newer model phone). Thats a lot of premium phone for $700 in a world where the competition is between $1200-$1400 😅

      I preordered and did the trade in any device and also had the 50.00 off coupon and free shipping. 688.89 tax and all. Awesome deal. My first one plus phone and excited. Thing that sold me is they addressed the pwm flickering and care about eye health and hope they keep improving and protecting our eyes.

    Just got mine yesterday. Still havent received the Day One update with the new camera features and bug fixes yet. But I am enjoying it so far. Battery life for my use is miles ahead of my Pixel 8 Pro. Fully charged the 12 before setting it up and downloading all my apps. Unplugged it around 4:30PM yesterday and now 19 hours and 30 minutes later its at 50% with 5 hours and 15 minutes of screen on time. I dont want to judge camera performance yet since some reviewers said the update helped image quality a lot. Aside from that its been super smooth and snappy like all OnePlus phones. I have 3 bars of service in my office now and can make calls without going out to the hallway. My Pixel 8 Pro had no service in here. Already leaning towards selling the P8P at this point.

      I sent my pixel 8 pro back and preordered this for $200 less. Pixel ai features isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be, won’t miss the photos either. I think pixels will get better in a few years once the ai matures and with a more powerful chip.

    My first experience with a OnePlus device was the 8T and it didn't disappoint. In fact, it is still in perfect shape and will be supported until the end of 2025. However, I did choose to upgrade to the 11 last year. Once again, it didn't disappoint. I absolutely love it and it runs smooth as silk. Still, I felt the 12 was an incredible leap and I couldn't resist pre-ordering it. As a legally blind low vision user, I absolutely have to have a primary and ancillary device. To that end, I will pass my 8T onto a friend and move my 11 to the secondary position. Strictly speaking, the added brightness of the 12's screen will be a great help to me.

      @@renecruz2964 I really enjoyed the 8T. In fact, it still scheduled to get its Android 14 update. I have a friend who's down on her luck and has been using a Samsung Galaxy a20 since 2019. When my 12 arrives I will be passing it on to her. It should be supported until around the end of 2025.
      Truthfully, I still love my 11 and it's been an incredible user experience. Not so much as one issue. Still, the features of the 12 sound amazing so, I couldn't resist it. I can't wait to get my hands on it.
      On another note, I'm sorry to hear about the demise of your 8T. It's always hard to lose a loved one. I hope you gave it a proper burial. LOL

    I had left Android for an iPhone a few months ago and while there is much I like about an iPhone, it just doesn't work out best for me, a Windows PC user. And, there are things on the iPhone software wise that well suck. So I'm coming back to Android, and I was on the fence between the OnePlus 12 and Pixel 8 Pro. I decided on the OnePlus 12 and ordered it yesterday and after watching this video and many others I am very pleased with my choice. The Pixel 8 needs to gain more powerful and efficient hardware, especially for these feature drops. While the OnePlus 12 has the performance space to grow.

    I have a OP 8 PRO and really liked it. The only issue is that it is at a dead end of updates so I was only contemplating an upgrade - not really wanting to buy a new phone. But I watched many videos on the OP 12 and I pre-ordered mine in black. I was supposed to get it on 2/12 but it came in on 2/3. I just love this phone and am tuning it to how I use it - performance is amazing and responsiveness is great. What is impressing me right now is the battery life. I took both my 8 PRO and my 12 with me to work and used both as usual - after 5 hours, the OP 8 PRO is at 92% and the 12 is at 96%. Both started at 100%. What will be interesting is to see how this phone does on a two hour phone call to Canada on Friday evening where the 8 PRO routinely went down to 62% after being fully charged. And I have both on the high performance setting. Love the screen brightness and clarity.

    Nice job on the review , looks like a good buy here in the States. My one problem is the curve screen , too much of a pain with a screen protector and finding a good case that could handle a drop . I've had the Oneplus 6 and 7pro and it looks seems like Oneplus is back , but I'm going to wait till next year and hope they start using a flat screen .

    • @marcochavanne
      @marcochavanne 8 месяцев назад +2

      The "UV Tempered Glass" screen protectors on Aliexpress work great. They are basically $5 Whitestone Dome knockoffs and work just fine with fingerprint sensors. I have mixed feelings about curved displays myself. The ergos from the tapered screen and back glass make it feel a lot more comfortable than my Pixel 8 Pro in the hand, but I dont like how much of a pain they are with TPU protectors and sometimes you get tinting when viewing them off angle along the curved edges.

    • @jejunamja
      @jejunamja 8 месяцев назад +2

      @@marcochavanne hey thanks for the heads up on a cheaper white dome alternative My problem is I'm a contractor I'm always in unfinished houses and so you know curve screens on phones are just more fragile and seems like the only case that really works well is an OtterBox but if I put an OtterBox on the OnePlus 12 that thing will be gigantic. Anyway it's good to see that OnePlus is back in the game and I hope they make a flat screen phone at some point.
