    I've had my OP 12 for a couple of weeks and really like it. The curved screen isn't an issue for me-while not a plus, it hasn't cause any problems either. I use a case, as I expect most people do, and have had zero accidental touches. I'm glad the phone came with a screen protector pre-applied; if I'd had to put one on myself, I might not be neutral about the curved screen.
    I found the comment about the flat color profile surprising. The colors just look natural to me-neither muted nor over-saturated.

    • @Tomazack
      @Tomazack 9 месяцев назад +2

      I compared the colours side by side with my oneplus 9, and even if the 9 is still a great phone, the 12 has it easily beat. I changed the colour profile to see how deep the colours could get, and I am greatly satisfied to say the least, no complaints what so ever. I tried watching a 4K HDR test on the phone and I was blown away, it looks so beautiful!

      @@ratkomarkovic8330 Objectively speaking the jump from OP7 to 12 is too big so ofc my mind is blown. OP7 pro was another gem of its era but still 12 is much better.
      Almost everything in 12 is on par with other flagships like Galaxy S24 or iphone 15 pro. The display is a beast, bright and UI responsive like stock android on pixel with lots of improvements with oxygenOS. The camera setup is great, battery is gr8. The phone is giving flagship value at 60% of the price so don't think you can go wrong buying it.

    I've been using OnePlus phones for a little over 7 years. While the fingerprint scanner on the 6T was a bit slow, I found that the fingerprint scanner on the 11 and 12 works very well.
    On my old 6T, if the fingerprint scanner seems slow, I would just rescan my fingerprints. But in the year that I had my OnePlus 11, that was never an issue. And now it's even better with the 12.
    I work with my hands, and at times I'll have calluses or skin abrasions. So I'm used to having to rescan if need be

    I've been using the OnePlus 12 for a couple of weeks now and I absolutely love it. Truthfully, I feel like they got everything in the design correct the first time. Personally, I love the curved glass. It is far more ergonomic and easier to hold than a flat slab Flintstone phone. Furthermore, curved glass has a far more premium look. Simply put, there's nothing long in the tooth about the design. It's ergonomic and it makes sense.
    I would also like to add how much I love the look of the camera module. It's different and it sets them apart from other manufacturers. It's impossible to gain brand recognition when your device blends in and looks like every other device. Again, the design language makes total sense.

For my use case, there are some MASSIVE flaws though... first being the lack of google assistant call screening. It was a feature I used constantly and now it's gone. Second, the speakers on this phone sound horrible compared to my old Xperia. Maybe that's saying more about the Xperia.. but it's a huge let down. The min vol is also too loud on the 1+12. 3:13 EVERYONE! In North America OnePlus is also selling a 100W charger. You can buy this separately and use it to charger OnePlus 11 or OnePlus 12. It is only 'slightly' faster tho. Here are the speeds from my tests...
    80W w/Smart Rapid Charging ON: 1-27% in 5min ... 46% in 10min ... 65% in 15min ... 81% in 20min ... 94% in 25min ... 100% in 27min
    100W w/Smart Rapid Charging ON: 1-30% in 5min ... 50% in 10min ... 70% in 15min ... 88% in 20min ... 95% in 23min ... 100% in 24min
    The 100W charger has the advantage of being able to fast charge non-OnePlus devices up to 65W. At least that's how OnePlus Support explained it to me. I hope this helps ❤️

    Just had to improve the portrait shots quality, especially human subjects and facial details. They tend to still smoothen the face and lacks sharpness and details all the time, compared to iphones and samsungs, the image is really soft with portrait shots. Not noticeable if seen alone but if you compare it with the shots from other flagships, then it is clear with the missing details and sharpness. I really hope OnePlus improves this soon with an update. Always miss the fine textures and crisp details.

    The only issue I have is the 4 years of support. Currently on an iPhone 11 that I’ve been using for about 5 or so years and it still runs fairly well despite the battery barely keeping it together. The only thing keeping me from this phone is that I’m sure it’s gonna be out of support before the device lets out its last breath. I wanna keep it as long as possible, software included

    • @dr.fitprofessor1970

      It offers 4 years of os support with 5 years of security patches. On average most people keep a smartphone for about 3 years. The 7 years that Samsung and Google are offering is mainly a marketing ploy. Besides, if you want to keep using the 12 then all you have to do is open the bootloader. It will allow you to install a custom rom.

      No arguing that honestly. The 12R almost got me to switch from the 12 when I was buying it. I hadn't done enough home work on the R though at that point, and didn't wanna lose out on the free wireless charger with my 12. The R is more phone than probably 75% of people need, and $3-499. OnePlus got me back with the 12. I was there from day One withe the One, 3T, and 5T. Then OneUI poached me away for a bit.

If they (OP) could offer a software backed, integrated stylus, and a desktop mode like Dex...at an approachable price, even on a foldable, I'd have no need for future Samsungs.

    Since OP7P, which i used 3 years until all cameras sadly stopped working---this will be the first OnePlus release (besides a quick CE 3 Lite pitstop) which has me jump ship. On paper it seems solid, and all the negatives can be overlooked.
    My only grip with the design is camera and waterfall screen. You miss out on screen real estate, and swiping gestures can be awkward with a case on. It was with OP7Pro anyhow.
    Besides that, looking forward to having a flagship to play emulation on. Hopefully SD8G3 will get sorted too have performance at the level it should be at.

    Wanted to upgrade from my S10lite to the S24ultra...but...S24ultra suffers from the grainy display issue or mura effect available in the low brightness in dark mode that has not been fixed with the latest software updates even indicating a hardware issue. Even Gsmarena and Tom's guide acknowledged this in their latest reviews but Samsung has not yet acknowledged this. Display experts are attributing this to be a hardware problem. Customers are crying in different social media platforms for the replacement but the replacement units have the same problem. I need the best display for watching multimedia content. So l ordered the OP 12. This time OP didn't buy the display from Samsung for the green line issue instead bought it from BOE and BOE and OP researched 2 years in making this display. Brothers...how is the display...please give ur honest opinions...Love from lndia.

      did you transfer your old phone apps and settings to the new phone by using clone phone? If thats the case you need to factory reset and manually add the older apps in your phone. The reason is that when you use clone phone you port your settings and tweaks to the new phone and itll be inefficient as whatever bad settings you have in your older phone will get adopted in the new phone.

    • @adamrush8360
      @adamrush8360 9 месяцев назад +1

      It could be a bad battery but at the same time, I'd review the battery settings on the phone. OnePlus has a menu that shows you suggestions on how to get better battery life. Go through those and see if it helps but I do concur with the previous comment that if that doesn't resolve the issue, factory reset and try to manually add the apps back. If that still doesn't work, I do believe you have a defective unit.

And you're right with the display colors, in the effort of making everything like camera images, display colors true to life, they have over done it by really removing the colors.
