Lastly, any good supplements for social anxiety?

I don't take it daily, but a big dose of NAC before a night out drinking really cuts down on the hangover.

That’s interesting. How many milligrams would you take in such a situation?

About 2 grams works for me.

Dr. Kuene, thank you for another very informative video. NAC + Gly is a supplement that I am thinking of purchasing (the same brand shown in your video!).
Are there long term negative effects from taking this? (Besides flat-affect)
    TYIA!
I’m also going thinking of taking EGCG & Urolithin A
Curious if there are long term effects from those as well

Thank you for your kind words. There is limited research on long-term use of NAC. I am currently using it at 600 mg per day, but I am taking two-day breaks every 2 weeks, and may take a full week off here and there.
      From: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8234027/
“Typically, NAC is administered orally, using 600-1200 mg tablets up to three times a day [11]. For the treatment of chronic diseases such as COPD, which requires long-term use, the maximum licensed dose is 600 mg/day, but doses above 600 mg/day are constantly used in different clinical trials. The safety profile of NAC is usually similar, both for low doses (≤600 mg/day) and for high doses (>600 mg/day). Studies with a dosage up to 3000 mg/day in respiratory diseases have shown that NAC is safe and well tolerated [27] (Table 2).”

I take it once a week. Pain in my shoulder with it strangely? Maybe inflammation is important to an extent. Balance

Have you looked into Augmented NAC? Any thoughts on this supplement?

    • @JonasKuehneMD
      @JonasKuehneMD  3 месяца назад

I’m trying to understand the process of augmentation. The manufacturers don’t detail this very well. NAC is a very good supplement with many benefits. I do not have enough information to say that an augmented version will be better. It certainly seems more expensive.

@@JonasKuehneMD Well, I can personally say that I feel way better on Augmented NAC than normal NAC.
As for how/why they augmented/improved NAC:
      1. They used mass spectrometry to measure what is going on at the molecular, and even in some cases, submolecular basis.
      2. They used a machine with plasma energy to modify the level of subatomic order of any molecule.
      3. NAC has the capability to denature and unfold the spike protein, but it's not enough. Only on average 12% was denatured, but then it would fold back to its original shape. So, they augmented the NAC and saw that in a test tube, in vitro, that it denatured on average 99.8% of the spike protein, and up to 100%.
      4. Augmented NAC is mainly used for detoxing against spike protein induced by COVID-19 or the mRNA "vaccine", but they also found out it protects Vitamin C up to 7 times higher than normal NAC, and protects Glutathione from degradation up to 40 times higher than normal NAC.
