Ah man, I'm stuck for work half the country away from my wife and the rest of my friends and family, and another monocolored commander night really hits the spot for making Sunday night a little less depressing.

Ben's ability to play a deck riddled with infinite combos yet still make Wheeler seem like the problem is impressive.

Ive never used a lot of the cards before! I just see a cool activated ability and throw them in. Turns out they do spooky things 😅

The first edh deck I ever made was Ayara first of locthwain. Super happy to see monoblack. my deck is awful but nothing can take away the feeling of resolving plague of vermin.
Playing an artifact deck during mono-black week is like if someone brought Enchantress to mono-red week. Hilarious.

@@rubyseverinwhitworth9066 no one brought Enchantress to Mono-red, no. I'm commenting on the fact that black only has, like, two cards in the history of magic that answer artifacts in the same way that red can't deal with enchantments.
Mono red enchantments is a fun deck to build

I get that artifact decks its really easy to accidentally have an infinite combo cmon Basalt Monolith and Pila-Pala? Why did he seem surprised when he's putting those kind of cards in his deck lol

@@BengineeringTV in your defence, both cards are independently really neat for the deck. Like being able to untap and repeat the charge counter shenanigans seems really fun, and basalt monolith turns the Commander into a great rock. If you haven’t seen the artifact decks do dumb things before then how would you know.
@@BengineeringTV You had another infiniter combo in there as well. Thran dynamo also goes infinite with pila-pila, and at the time you had enough life to destroy the dynamo.

1:51:10 I was always a fan of Nelson, but on top of that, I identify quite a bit with this play-style.
Insert engagement for the bottomless pit of hunger that is the algorithm.
But actually I'm testing new browser extensions to see which don't make the yubtubs chug when looking at the comments and so needed to try to post something.
Why would I want to look at the comments? Well I'm a sick man. On the upside though this extension seems to be killing it. Thanks LRR! Love the mono-commander streams, fun stuff.
Loved this one. Played a version of the 'lose 1' deck before, and it's been so much fun.

I didn't manage to stay awake through all of this. Then again, it was the specific to watch this, and then get lulled to sleep eventually - and in that use-case, it succeeded with flying colours :)

@41:30 According to Scryfall, there are 6 cards with "belly" in the name: Blightbelly Rat, Fire-Belly Changeling, Lavabelly Sliver, Lead-Belly Chimera, Poisonbelly Ogre, and Ravenous Rotbelly. "Leadbelly Ogre" is not a card, and in fact Poisonbelly Ogre is the only printed "belly" ogre. (Fire-Belly Changeling is technically also an ogre, but it doesn't say "ogre" on the card.)
With Nelson's pet deck being Poisonbelly, I'm happy to share my pet deck of Vision Chimeras, starring Lead-Belly, trying to stack them all together to make one vaguely decent creature (it's bad, don't do it). I wonder if we can assemble decks for all 6 of them?

Your fnpf commander content is perhaps the best commander content on RUclips. These mono colored commanders have been especially fun.

that last game has got to be one of my new all-time favourites from FNPF
100 card decks of all black cards? I find that highly unlikely, but it would be impressive if they managed to get a hold of black swamps.
So just fyi: there are six cards with the word "belly" in the name. There are Blightbelly Rat, Fire-Belly Changeling, Lavabelly Sliver, Lead-Belly Chimera, Poisonbelly Ogre (which is what Nelson has) and Ravenous Rotbelly. So through the fact that the Fire-Belly Changeling has Changeling, actually 1/3 of alle cards with Belly at the moment are either Phyrexians, Rats, Slivers, Ogres, Warriors, Zombies, Horrors or Chimeras. But only 1/6 are Shapeshifters... which is not much, but it is weird that this is just the facts. (and that it happened more than once)
Mad respect for the black mana battery!
Wheeler! Dire Fleet Ravager is also one of my favorite cards in commander. I put it in any black deck.

Just go watch the old Commander Clash when they did it.
It's not fun gameplay when MTGO checks all the things for you, in paper it would be complete dogshit to track it manually and try to play.
I definitely prefer the non infinite route taken, but ben could have untapped the staff and still went infinite in response to the spells draw entire deck gained infinite life
