I could only find green and blue. At least green was labeled as such, but blue was just another FNPF. Blue was 2020-12-11 (assuming that's even the one they meant, since it was so long before the others), and green was 2022-03-18.
Ben's such a great brewer, this deck is sick. The first obvious synergy is Solphim doubling damage from each Approach, but then utilising the discard to get more copies in the graveyard is great. Then using the dragons searched up for your utility, like refilling the hand, getting more noncombat damage, etc. It's inspired.
12:35 "I brought that over so our drinks stopped casting shadows on the table." Such a professional eye for the finished product. One of the reasons I tune in for the games here. Both the work on camera as well as behind the scenes (thank you, Paul!), as well as the sparkling social interaction among the cast. Thank you for the quality entertainment you guys put out.
I learnt about Dong Zhou thanks to the oversimplified video about the three kingdoms. Legend says he was so oily he burned for days when he was killed by his protoge
Ahh, the end of the second game is peak magic. Graham going deep in the tank for a play that stablises the board only for Serge to windmill slam one card for gg 😩
I was literally midway through typing a comment about the possibility that Graham's Jaya alter was done by Marshall when he brought it up. Watching the stream explains the stream.
As Justin Parnell famously said: Gamble reads "Search your library for a card, then choose one at random: Discard the card you searched for OR discard another card from your hand at random." 🤣 Sorry, Serge!
Was happy to see Graham playing his Jaya deck, as I have built a very similar Jaya deck. Glad they included links to the decklists because I wanted to compare his list to mine. There are some similarities, but I saw some cool cards in his version that I will consider running in my own now.
I mainly remember graham's jaya deck for that time in an older commander stream where he played riddle of lightning on one of ben's things and revealed Aladdin off the top of his deck
Spellshapers are awesome! There are a bunch of ways to use them, I've been running toymaker in orzhov vehicles with Greasefang and its super niche but really fun. Animates vehicles, often with more p/t than their normal values and discards cards to fuel the commander!
The new Tazri, Stalwart Survivor does an okay WUBRG spellshaper commander job, putting cards in your hand and allowing your spellshapers to pay for your spellshaper abilities.
On the topic of Toralf, I run him as a commander and the other day I resolved a Bolt with Furnace of Rath when another player and I both had Toralf in play... we dealt around 480 damage between the two.
@Ajcheeta , yes. This means that when bolt resolves, dealing 6 damage to a 1/1 there are two triggers to deal 5 damage. Each of those targers another creature and becomes 10. Those creatures were also 1/1, meaning we now direct damage that becomes 18. Two triggers each time.
Amazing games! Ben reall makes me want to build an Approach deck. For something that doesn't matter really: In game 2 Solemn should have died to Graham's Thunderblade Charge they missed that Precursor Golem doesn't care who owns the golemns.
Wheeler: "Good news, they have been reprinted into the ground." (pointing to flameshadow conjuring) Flameshadow Conjuring has in fact never been reprinted. I know this because I was making a deck with only unique cards and it came up.
Props to Ulmer for playing with a proxy Wheel of Fortune. Sometimes it feels so awful to watch streams with outrageous RL cards all across the table even in the most casual of settings that it is truly refreshing to see proxies being embraced
The game one Gamble with Serge losing his Panharmonicon reminds me of the first three times I cast Gamble in my Krenko. Lost the card I tutored for every time.
Last week i've just built a mono red deck with Wyll, Blade of Frontiers as my Commander. I've put all card in it that have something to do with dice rolling.
I'm very happy to have seen ben go off at the end :D but didn't wheeler have another 15 or 18, or even more damage (3*untapped lands) of extra damage? By just chaining the kiki jikis They would be tapped, but the etb with the commander would still go off I guess?
I really like Solphis. He just seams neat. I like noncombat damage and indestructible so I will probably build him. But now I have to ponder if I want to build a dragons approach solphis because that seems really cool.
Aw yeah baby, so excited for more colour themed streams (really looking foward to colourless) There’s your engagement please let me out of the Loading Ready Run funhouse of lies.
Pretty sure it's to cast the Phoenix and use Lightning Cloud to put Wheeler to 7, then attack with everything. Since he has Repercussion, Wheeler using Dong to block means he still takes lethal (as the creature dealing damage to Dong means Repercussion deals that much to Wheeler). Jaya is 2, Phoenix is 2, Adamaro is 3.
Also fun fact: Ripple only exists because Coldsnap was a small set that was drafted by itself, so the designers knew you would see the same commons repeatedly in the draft. Which made it makes sense to create a mechanic which rewarded you for picking up as many copies of a certain common at you could.
I'm so so so happy to see Graham looking better and better every day.
Me too 💜

I'm new to LLRMTG and so a bit out of the loop. What happened to Graham?

You know I'm too deep in the LRR lore when I knew that Marshall made that alter when Graham forgot lol
G: "How did I do that?"
P: "Uh, quarter circle forward?"
13:18
Also, correction: "P" should be "W"
Much respect to Graham for playing cards more for their obscure weird fun value rather than playing only OP cards.
Color me intrigued.
That pun has me seeing red.
Wait...
Serge: Maybe I should’ve left my reach creature behind to block dragon attacks
Ben: _Where we’re going, we won’t need dragon attacks_

My favorite color in all of magic by and far being played by 4 people I deeply enjoy watching? Ahhhhh thank you for this healing medicine LRR
Thoroughly enjoying the ancient Friday Nights references for THE BIG FLAMING GIANT

I wish we would get new spellshapers, and supporting cards to boot, alongside some new potential commanders to help with the strategy.

Graham's Thematic Draft Chaff should be the name of every deck he brings on stream. It is also the way I build my decks.

graham's deck is peak commander. shower of coals and icefall is some real ass magic.
After all the mono colors +brown yall should do WUBRG night

Thrumming Stone pop off in Commander is one of the wildest things I've seen.
Looks like a ton of fun. I have a mono red Chandra super-friends deck that is an excuse to run pyrohemia, and things with indestructible.
MonoRed - this is very exciting.
Also very surprising to see the video length on a mono red only commander game! Lol I would expect a 40 min game
They just play multiple games
