Awesome upgrades to Brian's $10,000 truck. Congratulations Brian and enjoy those upgrades. Thanks for sharing JD, I totally enjoyed watching the the upgrade videos.
You probably don’t have this problem but up in here in Wisconsin it is a good idea to grease the outside of the hitch before putting it in the receiver. My neighbor left his in and it rusted in. We had to take the receiver off the truck and put them both in my hand forge to get them apart. The torch wasn’t hot enough.
Flat6 Hemi So true 💯!! Former Wisconsinite & Yooper here myself 🤣 (now live in SC). I _always_ greased up my hitches & receivers!👍👍. Especially after seeing so many of my friends, etc not do it & ended up doing what you did or similar to get them loose.😳 P.S...Where in WI are you located?
Nope, not a problem here in Texas. We do get rust, but not that bad. Ive had my receiver in my truck for the past 9 years. The locking pin is rusted in the locked position, but it still moves freely in the hole as does the hitch itself in the receiver.
How would you do the bed liner in a pickup with a gooseneck hitch in it? The truck looks great and is very useful. But he had already done to upgrades that if the truck was a plane jane truck. Which were the steps to get into the truck and the front end protector or the cattle guard which is very important. Thanks for the videos very well done.
On the last video when you guys installed the Weathertech window vents. i ordered mine. Luckly i live 30 mins away from their factory so i saved myself $25 by choosing to pick them up at the factory.
I love that hitch! Wow it's a great solution for getting every to line up perfect. The last upgrade is the best upgrade. Whole series very well done only thing I would have changed was the floor mats perfect otherwise. Is there any way to add sway control to this hitch?
Wow that was a cool series, imagine if u could do a series of buying a cheep truck/tow rig and getting sponsored for products and making the best tow rig u can well still keeping some what a reasonable cost and flipping it at the end that would be a awesome series to watch. Keep up the good work
I really like the b&w, i however got a gen y for its pintle lock option. I dont like how much the gen y sticks out further. Almost need chain and wiring extensions now for trailers
Great Video....very informative. I just purchased a Ford F250 and all of the upgrades you demonstrated will definitely work for me. One question...what do you think about a spray on bed liners (i.e. Line-X) as opposed to the Bedrug? BTW....enjoy all of your videos, always helpful.
That hitch is pretty cool. I used to haul Rv campers from manufacturers to dealerships coast to coast. Does that hitch have a decent tongue weight? Kinda looks like too many weak points for a little bit heavier trailers and loads. Very cool tho
Totally unrelated note. But I was watching a video this morning that featured a ram 4500 chassis cab that had a pickup truck bed put on the truck. During the video he said a company in California did it, but never gave the name of the company. Several people asked in the comments the name of the company but he never replied to any of them ( the video is about 4 years old). You wouldn’t happen to know of this company, or even better, one in the Texas/Louisiana area that would do this do you?
this entire series could have been a single 10-15 min video
I’d rather do a spray liner rather than a bed rug
that's what I did and I love it
I was hoping for twin mini guns

Cradling the balls is always good advice haha giggity
Still have about 500 bucks in your budget? What about a back up camera?
Or how about wider mirrors for towing?
Reverse camera only cost about $100 and extremely easy to install
Real oldschool Saturday night specials
Still wish B&W made locking pins for the ball and height adjustment
Very cool series. My wife and I really enjoyed trying to guess what you were going to upgrade next!

Nice practical choices that won't break the bank. I've done 3 out of 5. I added fog lights for $57.
@ 3:00 Thats what she said.
😂
Where you get that front grill guard and those rims are so nice

They are really nice inchannels. Have them on 3 different trucks, 2 same models. Wouldnt go without them.
Thank you i have enjoyed this series the truck looks great
I was always taught to never load a pickup over the sides. Only bad stuff happens
Cool hitch pins assembly!
I REALLY like this hitch!

Still a huge fan of my weigh safe hitch featured many episodes ago. All locked up and less pins.
More than anything I enjoyed how you walked him through the install process and repeated the function a few times so he knows how to use it

Beautiful truck. Guess I'm in good shape... I've done 3 of the 5!
Eddy really hope 1 of the 2 you didn’t do was the bed rug 😂

Bed rugs are nice if you use your truck like a suburban. If you use your truck for work. Get a spray in, or a rubber bed mat.
My 12 year old inner self is having a really hard time watching this video.
How you clean the bed rug let said if it got mud,Oil, Sand or rust from wet tools loaded in the bed.🤔
Jose Medina its plastic made to look like carpet
What size lift kit is on it?
What lift is on this truck?
JD how does this hitch compare to a Gen- Y hitch?
That looked like a great locking pin. I can’t find one long enough for the 1/2” diameter hole on my receiver.
Add some mudd flaps too? Nice additions though, thanks.
Truck looks good. Does B&W make a similar head that includes a weight distribution capability?
Is it safe to assume that the components of that hitch are secure from theft other than the three pins and clips?
Negative. Locks only keep honest people out. One minute with a grinder and that hitch is gone.
Y’all gonna do a brake controller at some point?
Excellent three video series. :-)) :-))
what type of truck is that
Would you also recommend a Roadmaster Active Suspension upgrade?
Put the left over money towards some nice new wheels.....😊😊
whoa, 3 logs? you might wanna slow your roll there pal

The B&W tow and stow is rated from 10k (the one in the video) up to 21k (the one I use).
Now he just needs an Amp Research Bedstep and some bed lights under that cover.
That B&W hitch can you ran a pintle hook and great video series and still no window tint
Even have enough for a new air intake system
Very Nice Truck
Anyone have experience with the rhino hitch?
i got a new 7 way factory plug if you want it!

C&S Plating in Corpus Christi can do the conversion
I love that hitch. Not sure my truck's worth such a cool hitch, tho. LOL
Tune the dang thing
Where did u get the truck for 10 thousand and how many miles did it have and is it diesel or gas powered
Dead link for the hitch BTBRV/J.D
what link
Man send that back and go get you a three way from Harbor Freight and use the difference in price to take your lady friend out to eat.
great now it needs a manicure 💅🏻
So a hitch, but no tow mirrors lmao?
Tinting
nice
These videos seem more about getting your friends truck some free upgrades rather than the quality of content
Nope. And free isn't how I would define how I got everything. Thanks for the comment.
Big Truck Big RV thanks for reply. I appreciate you connecting with audience
THE hitch is too BUSY
I think that both:
www.bulletproofhitches.com/
www.weigh-safe.com/shop/
Are better hitches than B&W and I own them all.
B&W on a 1/2 ton is silly. All 1/2 ton trucks need WD for over 5,000lbs. not even a 2 5/16" ball
Totally Agree
Not a fan of the tow & stow hitch.
