Thanks you explained and showed the way to open and remove the current buttons. Are you going to do a video about how to connect the wires as I haven't seen that yet.
Most welcome, the wires are plug and play as long as you have the wire harness that I added in the link. I can add that video as well, if there are enough comments feeling that they’d need that guide as well.
I’m about to do the same. I think one goes on bottom (ground) and the other wire goes on next tab up. Top one is not needed. Don’t think it matters which wire goes to each tab on switch.
Correct, I’ll post a really quick vid later. It really is super simple as long as you have the wire harness ready, especially if you do it one button at a time. For mine, I used the top and middle connectors. Then plugged the two pin plastic portion into the control board
Amazes me with how cheap good quality buttons and sticks are that these mini cab makers can’t spend the extra fifty cents for ones that don’t suck Donkey Kong balls. Like, for what they charge and for how much the components cost, I think they can afford good name brand buttons.
Hi thank you for the video. It helped me very much because I didn’t have done something like that before. Everything worked out fine. For some reason in Top Players Golf the controls don’t work when I want to rotate the direction where the ball should be shot. But everything else works fine. Did someone occurred a similar issue? I checked all the wires and everything is connected as intended.
I did the same thing except I put button caps where the white buttons are so it has the traditional SNK 4 button layout instead. Came out well.
Nice, I bet it looks sweet
LOL. They're out of stock of red and blue. Thanks for the links, will keep my eye out.
Yeah, they’re usually good with their stock

True, but at least with some patience modifying it is possible
How do you make the buttons you purchased connect to the unit? Is there some kind of soldering needed on the wires to the buttons
The wires mentioned in the follow up video just slide on

You’re most welcome, glad it helped. Hmm I’ll have to try, I mainly play Turfmaster as to me it’s the better game
Do you have the name or another link for the wires? The link in tje description does not work for me
If Focus Attack sold out, here’s what I ordered from them - Spare American Style .187" Harness for Zero Delay USB Encoder PCB
@@MarkoCG77 Thanks! I appreciate it
I tried to copy this tutorial exactly and when I booted up again the "select game" button stopped working, any ideas?
You may want to recheck your connections and wires, I didn’t replace my start or select buttons, just the actual buttons used for gameplay.
There’s also a follow up video showing the replacement wires that I had ordered
hey guys you believe that an Suzo Happ 4/8-Way Super Joystick would fit?
Hmmm not sure it would fit easily without some modding, it’s a pretty tight fit/enclosure
Tell me where to buy the button.
I got mine from focus attack, link is in the description of the video
@@MarkoCG77 Thank you for your answer.
There's no product on the link.
They may sold out then, you want to look for Suzo Happ Long Stem Buttons with Dx 44 cherry switches online
