Hi, got this keyboard for going 3 years now, and I am starting to have problems with some my switches. These switches are not really swappable right? some of keys are not properly working even after cleaning and greasing it so yeah I am so sad, I am not sure if can replace those switches that are not reliable anymore. Please help me what should I do here, thanks in advance!! and more power to your channel!!
Just bought this keyboard today. I absolutely love it. Using it for work. The upgrade was worth every penny. I also own the Alloy Core TKL and love it as well. High end quality!
I really like the keycaps legends are still plenty visible with the RGB off! I'm now more into assembling my own custom keyboards but if someone asks me for a recommendation in gaming keyboard I'll definitely tell them about this one.
@@TotallydubbedHD definitely give it a try. Ever since I've had my TKL DROP CTRL I love It. Can't see myself going back to full-size. More real estate for my mouse (perfect for FPS). And by using QMK, I make it so Fn+Home/End/PgUp... And the up arrow are the numpad. My other keyboard for gaming exclusively is a 60% and it's just fine but trying to code with it is a challenge.
I just bought this keyboard almost blindly because it was on sale at my local amazon at $89 usd (which I think was a good discount), It will arrive tomorrow probably so do you know if I can enable an RGB effect while listening to music? Like when led strips or RGB motherboards flash to the beat of the music
Very good review. Can you please answer if whether or not the board goes to sleep (lights turn off) when my monitors go black? My computer will still be on, but they board goes dark when my monitors go dark. This was a great feature on my razer. I am wondering if it is offered on this keyboard.
Is these were Cherry MX brown I would have regretted buying my Ducky One 2 RGB Pudding MX Browns for €149. It's a great keyboard but it has a plastic top (got a scratch somehow after a month) and the media keys are kinda lackluster. This HyperX seems to have solved this problem. I do hate the 3 keys on the top left (why are they so big?) and the regular front on the keys is really ugly. Ducky has a way nicer font and a cool looking spacebar!
i bought the Alloy Elite 1 and had massive issues with it's keys always double pressing a button ... was unusable for games and writing after 6 months... got a replacement ... same issue... i wouldn't buy a hyperx keyboard again...
just bought it and im thinking about getting the white hyperx pudding keycaps to replace some of the black keycaps just to personalize it but i have never switched out keycaps before
hi ! I have this keyboard but unfortunately i had to RMA it 3 times in two years. It started out when I got the HyperX alloy elite 1 and when that broke they replaced it with hyperx alloy elite 2. Most of the time some of keys just stopped functioning or barely registering when i press it. now some of the keys are barely functioning again this will be the 4th time and its now out of warranty. dunno why but I dont even play games that much anymore or heck even used my pc a lot. I guess for me this is not a reliable keyboard. :( I wish they made the switch hot swappable
I love the switches of this; they're excellent for typing, but the software is a hassle to install; you have to have a Microsoft account to download it from the Store (you don't get it elsewhere) and then I finally succeeded in installing it, it does not "see" the keyboar; all I get is a message I am supposed to hook up a compatible equipment - grrrrrrrrrr....
Claiming something is "The Best" is subjective. For me, "The Best" keyboard is the SteelSeries Apex 7 with Red Switches. Does that mean I think the Hyper X is bad? No, of course not. That's why claiming a keyboard as the best is not really a true statement. I know people, myself included, who were not as impressed with the Hyper X Alloy Elite 2. Again, doesn't mean we dislike this keyboard. But as I said above, I got the Apex 7, a buddy of mine got the Corsair K95 Platinum, and a co-worker who games got the Razer Huntsman. A keyboard, as well as a mouse, are very personal picks. Frankly, in my opinion, The SteelSeries Apex 7/Pro keyboards are the best FOR ME.
all keyboards are the same, in my opinion membrane are the best, my one is super silent, and that tactile bump feels good, you know you've activated the button, for casual gaming you don't need fast response, mechanical keyboards make annoying clinging metal sound, and no membrane in between to reduce plastic to plastic contact noise, if you get used to using one keyboard you won't like another, you need to use the same keyboards for a few weeks or months and then do a comparison, after you get used to it, the only reason I want this hyperX is because of macros and good lightling, but I hate everything else, the clunky plastic sound when you press buttons, the metal clinging from the switch, mechanical keyboards are just awful, they need to make the switches silent

Thanks for sharing!
Can i put it just one colour without any software?

Glad you're enjoying it!
Great review mate! I’ve just ordered one of these, love the looks and build quality and it has all the features I need.
Thanks man! Let me know how you get on :)

That's my next step personally, thinking of going TKL, but I'm undecided lol - and sweet!

Indeed, the thing is from time to time I do use my number pad... And love dedicated media keys haha!
How can I make the multimedia buttons work when I'm in the game? they only work when the tab itself is open
I can't get the profile switcher button to work. I think I'm doing something wrong with the sequence for saving to the keyboard. Any tips?
Going to buy this with pbt pudding caps and it'll be absolutely stellar.
Nice one :)

Can't remember if that's a feature; why to check when it comes in!?

Thanks! Good question, not sure. Might have a sleep timer, you'll need to check if it's part of the software
hey what do you think about put the razer pbt on the elite 2 ?
No idea mate!
Anyone know where you can download the latest firmware. v2.1.0.6 is the one I have installed, wasn't sure if this is the latest.

ha, fair enough - Ducky do make good keyboard tbh; been a LONG time since I got my hands on one though!
This or Hyperx Origins? They're almost the same price in my region I'm so confused what to choose
Not tried the other, but as far as I'm aware the Origins isn't a premium keyboard and could even be a membrane one!
@@konte641 I can't try every single keyboard there has ever been, can I? Pro tip: Don't be a dick in life.
is it true that the version with wrist rest is better than elite 2? please enlighten me.. stuck between these two keyboards.. please someone hlep me
No idea
Does this only come available in red switches or can I choose what I want?
As far as I'm aware, this is only available in the HyperX Red; could be wrong!
i enjoyed your video. can you still recommend it ? maybe gonna buy it
Thanks! Yes I would.

Interesting, I still have the original Alloy Elite, and my fiancée uses it as her daily driver - no issues here!
just bought it and im thinking about getting the white hyperx pudding keycaps to replace some of the black keycaps just to personalize it but i have never switched out keycaps before
Very easy to do so, especially with a key puller - don't worry :)
@@TotallydubbedHD Thanks for the encouragement bro!

I'd pick this one
@@TotallydubbedHD ty for answer but what about the respond optical switch faster than red switch?
Wouldn't really make much of a difference in the real world imo
I bought the keyboard and I love it
Fantastic, glad you love it :)
@@TotallydubbedHD I like the switches as well because there not too loud

That's weird. Did you reboot after the setup?
Hell na that sound test it sounds so bad but looks so good idk if i should get it or not
Ha, fair enough!
2nd best. Best is the K100
I don't like the floating key design
Thanks for sharing!
Made me cringe when you hit those keys really hard, but it's nice to know it's solid and can be the weapon of choice against zombies or burglars. Lol
Hahaha
Just bought this one for 69 quid 😁
Happy days!

Just for demonstration purposes.
