In the early 90 's, i visit a gig in Kehl, Germany with my very young Kids. He gives a personally autograph Merry Chapman.. Roger Christmas 😂funny. Now, it is amazing to get some New stuff from Chappo
Thanks Roger, for being a valuable part of my life. In the 70ties I joined your concerts in Frankfurt and still when you show up I am there.!!!!! Thank you very much!
I will never forget the concert in the Musikhalle in Uelzen of all places in the world - no more than 300 people fit in the club and he and his band played for 3 and 1/2 hours … it was a great audience and we had soooo much fun. I will never forget this THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH !
Спасибо Вам огромное за прекрасные шедевры. Произведения влюбляют в себя с первой секунды. И хочется чтоб эта гармония музыки и шикарного голоса звучала вечно. СПАСИБО!!!
I've always loved the music of Roger Chapman and his band, a very special sound! In Germany the band gained some popularity in the 80's but was always a kind of secret love (as well as Saga / Barclay James Harvest / Dr. Feelgood), I think they were all quiet underestimated, in those 80's almost all the bands made really good music! I'm so excited to listen to this beautiful new album full of soul, blues and rock, Chappo!
@@Chappomusic Kalimpong [you'd need to look it up] in the sixties was a small border town on the edge of Tibet where we grew up. The only hi fi shop in town sold a few records, mostly Hindi film music with some Ventures, Shadows and Harry Belafonte thrown in. One fine day, to our curious amazement, we discovered The Family album tucked in the middle of the pile. We couldn't afford the fourteen rupees so we wore the shopkeeper out with requests to play it for us every other day. Finally, one Christmas, we sang enough carols to buy it. It changed hands and changed hands thereafter until it finally disappeared. Now in me dotage, I'm showing a younger guitar player the chords for Some Poor Soul - and he just loves it. Thanks man, stay well and keep on keeping on.
I discovered Family's Music In A Doll's House, and that was short of amazing because between '68 and '72 I discovered hundreds of great pop/rock albums. But with Family's first album I sat up straight-- :"Wow--this is REALLY great!!", and for the next five years I listened to hardly anything else. 1972's Dark Side Of The Moon? It had to wait!
Of all the music in the world. Chapman is the greatest. Brought Family in a Dolls House the week it came out, Change my life. Brought every LP, CD Roger made
The time have to Com to say bey, bey.Dank das deine aktuellen Gedanken in guter ehrlicher Musik aufgegangen .Ich sage nur roter Overall,Capo Vielen Dank Ralf Meyer ,Hamburg
On of my heroes-still doing well. Saw him with Family around 1967 or so in Hamburg -and he scared me! Big revival in 1979 and I love every record : Family, Streetwalkers, solo....thanks Chappo!
"Walking the cat" and "One more time" are one of my favorite albums. This new grooving song is awesome. The output of the whole band makes it easy to enjoy this piece of music. That is because not every vocalist is also a great storyteller. In this voice I can find blues, soul and passion.
Love It Great new song from Chappo This man has been a firm favourite with me since seeing him with The Shortlist in Hamburg more than 40 years ago Great artists only get better
The first gig of my life as a 15 year old was RC&The Shortlist in Freiburg, Germany…1981-ish..I was a fledgling guitarist and spent a whole month learning all of Geoff Whitehorn‘s solos from the Live in Hamburg…am a professional guitarist to this day….wearing shackles?Ball and Chain!
Got a number, please refer, prisoner!Prisoner! On another note, I lost my Riffburglars „Swag“ record which I had on vinyl. Do you by any means have a copy?
one of the greatest voices in rock music. god bless him.
Reckon' you are into Abrahamism, which it'll be; Judaism, christianity, or islam. What misery!

Y'think we're past it. Old. Nothing to say or do. Watch this. We're not gone away, some of us survive. Great performance.

“Playtime is Over”, all evidence to the contrary; looks like play time has just started. This song is Old School Good from beginning to end.

The masters that are still around are the only ones capable of raising the game time and time again. When they go...it's gone.
Thank you Roger. You are a part of my life.
i will buy this...in my own time....rogers great.💖
Damn! He's back!
Never left !

I was 15 when I heard Family's "Bandstand" album, a record that changed my young life. Roger Chapman's voice opened the doors to Hell / Heaven...

Observations from a hill, from a UNI concert, the first of a long following, Family farewell tour was brilliant, then Streetwalkers etc etc!
He is pure and he's still sooooooooooooooo good, - surrounded by the finest musicians!
'playtime is over' is like 'smashing tambourine time' is over. fan since Family, good to see him again !!!!!
Always being the better Joe Cocker...
