I see that you have 2 cables there. One from the motor to Ronin and the other from Ronin to the camera. I have received mine with only 1 cable, the one from the motor to the Ronin. And with that cable I get only red lite on the motor which can not calibrate
db7studio has to be reset each time. Although (!!!!) i have a sony A99MKII and I use a Zeiss 24-70 2.8 lens and I’ve not had to calibrate the motor. The “stops” are natively there. The lens does not have hard stops
@V - V - Foto I thought this was supposed to allow focus pulling on cameras that don't connect to the gimbal because DJI don't know the firmware or haven't produced the right cables. It looks as though this simply does smooth focusing on cameras that already do connect and just replaces the existing "focusing in steps" action that the built in wheel already does once connected. Is this the case? It's just an expensive upgrade offering they type of functionality we all would expect to already be there?
Also, isn't the only camera that can pull focus via cable just the GH5 and GH5S. I have a bmpcc4k with manual lenses and man.. It's tough to consistently keep distances to stay in focus.
Hi, how loud is it? Did your built in mic pickup any motor noise? I have RHODE stereo mic and I?m shooting weddings, and with loud music I'm OK, but what about much silent ceremonys?
I did not find the option to control focus in the app. And you can calibrate the motor so it has very long range but it will be always start and end points
So when I turn on my camera after set it up I cant use the focus wheel with the motor once the camera is on due to the mcc- c cable giving the wheel preference to digital zoom in the camera which I don't want it to do. How do you switch the focus wheel back to the focus motor while also allowing the record button to work?
Doesn't the GH5 already have full capabilities with all of the Ronin's features? So, no need to get the motor as it should be directly connected in camera? I'm still debating whether to pick up the motor for my Nikon D4 since it only supports it as a gimbal and don't really want to start all over with having so many Tamron glass that I would need for the shoots I take. The Z6 would be ideal, but most lenses I have is not native to Nikon; especially the Z series. I would also need to use my Android tablet to push record =( Such a pain. I'd like to keep the D4, but technology is moving too fast.
joe there is another power output for a focus motor and on the other side of ronin s is a connecting plate for a second focus wheel so it seems to be possible
Könntest du verraten, zu welchem Datum du bei DJI bestellt hast? Denn ich habe meine Bestellung direkt bei Beginn des Angebots durchgeführt und habe noch nichts erhalten :-(
Yes it's normal. There's a setting called "deadband" that is doing this, reduce that number down and try out smaller numbers until you get on you are comfortable with. But a warning, you may be assuming the pan function works in a way that the motors don't. Here's something to try, twist your Ronin beyond the target you are panning to, and then as it gets there quickly twist back in so your handle is NOW facing the target. Don't expect it to go all the way back to facing front, if it were trying to do this you would get panning from every little motion you make with your hands. It has to have an amount of "ignore" in order to keep your footage smooth, and this ignore also counts on the end of the move too.
DecentraX Coin same here. The beveled ends face UP into the port on the top stage of the gimbal. Then just push them in. They are little virgin suckers but they will go in.
I have been looking for this information for so long! You may have saved my shoot! Thank you
merci pour cette video

Did the plate come with the focus motor ?
Perfect! Exactly what I was looking for thanks for the tutorial
Do you have to calibrate the motor every time you switch on the gimbal? Can you save the motor settings?

does it work with sony a7 iii?
We would like to see actual live run and gun footage with the gimbal to see how effective the follow-focus is with pulling focus.
What are those orange spacer that you are using?
I am about to receive mine. feels good man

In my case, I'm going to use this to pull focus on a manual lens that can't be controlled by the camera body.
True mate. I have the panasonic myself, and it works like gold.
Also, isn't the only camera that can pull focus via cable just the GH5 and GH5S. I have a bmpcc4k with manual lenses and man.. It's tough to consistently keep distances to stay in focus.
This focus motor should work with any cam, it works with my nikon d750 as well
Wow its nice.. bro... where did you brought this. And how much cost.
Hey I bought it from dji.com for 169€
Hi, how loud is it? Did your built in mic pickup any motor noise? I have RHODE stereo mic and I?m shooting weddings, and with loud music I'm OK, but what about much silent ceremonys?
Hi, it‘s quiet but not silent. I‘m using ronin s as camera B and recording sound separately
my motor doesnt work. what am i doing bad?? its all conected well
can you control the focus motor with the app in motion lapse mode? Also can the motor spin continuously in one direction?
I did not find the option to control focus in the app. And you can calibrate the motor so it has very long range but it will be always start and end points
Price...?
Do i need this motor? Can i not just buy the DJI Ronin-S - Multi Camera Control Cable Multi USB and use it?
Sebastian Mark was thinking the same thing....
Yes you can pull the focus via cable but it is not so smooth and easy as this motor does
Sebastian Mark will that multi camera control work with a nikon z7
Hello, thanks for the video, please if you could say where you bought it?
Skycuad hey, i bought it from dji.com
V - V - Foto ok thanks, how many time was the delivery!?, To USA..?

Hey what a camera do you have?
Same problem with the GH5s.
same problem. have you found a solution??? i have a gh5 :(
I fix the problem! Just update the ronin's firmware

Can you control focus and zoom at the same time or can you only control one at a time
joe there is another power output for a focus motor and on the other side of ronin s is a connecting plate for a second focus wheel so it seems to be possible
Does this ronin focus provide auto focus tracking?
No it does not

LG
i notice my gimbal never go back to the middle. i find myself often having to double tap trigger a lot.
is this normal???
dablet00 I'm having the same problem, and the dji support doesn't helping at all

yeah that "not returning to the center point" is pretty annoying.
App > System Calibration ; maybe resolve the problem
When you adjust the focus motor, do you notice any jitter/movement/shake in the video?
Actually i did not notice any jitter
@@pulsar.pictures.ytchannel
Thank you so much!
thanks!
that shit doesnt look like its gonna balance bro i think you need to upgrade the ronin
How the Heck did you get these power cables in??? I can't figure it out for the life of me

Video on how you use with a command unit to pull focus for background and foreground... ruclips.net/video/6Jxa7SzNNG8/видео.html
You can set A and B points without command unit too
In fact, I just realised. You have not finished all the steps...
Link a producut in amazon plz?
