I'm so excited to finally be posting this one - my first collab video with another YT artist, the super talented Adriana Figueroa! We met at MAGFest earlier this year and quickly decided that this is the song we wanted to work on together - seemed like a perfect fit since it has such great vocal and string parts, and we both LOVE the music from FFXIII-2!
We actually both live in Nashville so we were able to film in the same room together, which was a blast! Took a while to get the quartet back together but, finally, we can share it with you :)

+Isei Kaneki i really tried to get into lightning returns but it got the better of me with the time thing. i hate knowing that i missed stuff cause of a stupid deadline.

When ever I hear someone say "OST" I automatically see the words "FFXIII-2 OST" flash right before my eyes. FFXIII-2 IS LITERALLY THE DEFINITION OF "OST" TO ME! SERAHHHHH!!!! (Why....?... *crying* *sobbing* Serah...)

I will forever consider this cover to be the official version of this song. Amazing and I always come back to it! The tinge of desperation that comes across in "I would go back in time.. Change what's to come.." is amazing and perfectly matches the tone of the message. Incredible job.

That first bit when you go see a flashback in 700AF when the whole world is dark and the sky is dying... really creeped me out. True darkness, real despair. It felt real, like that's how the apocalypse really looks. Nothing like a war or anything... just decadence and mankind fading away, dying a slow and lonely death. That was when I really appreciated Noel's character. That's why nothing in the past scares him. And he'd do anything to stop his horrible future.
+Clymaxx its ben a while since i play final fantasy xiii-2 but i remember everything i have finish part 2 and 3 the not the first because it was really hard too finish it ( sorry for my english)

because nothing in the story made sense. They included time travel out of no where. And the last human (Noel) was such a one dimensional character for a while. Copypasta as well. Granted this song was fantastic and the setting really got you the feels for him during this scene, there was nothing to him aside from this. And the cheesy love plot that was developing between him and serah was weird considering they ran into snow, her fiance. Noel was just kinda retconned into the story it seems, and given final fantasy powers because... well just because. He wasn't a l'cie and humans couldn't use magic. Hunters aren't able to use magic in Lightning Returns so why is Noel able to? The game is meh to play, but the music is spot on. FFXIII and Lighting Returns are far better games, and Lightning Returns has a terrible story as well. Its music and gameplay as well as its exploration factor are its only redeeming factors. Even the level of world detail in both XIII-2 and Lighting Returns are bad. Random assets just strewn about seemingly put there in the final hours of development before release.
All that said, I do love this series and I play them at least once a year a little each.
I've never even played FFXIII-2 & I have no desire to, but as soon as those vocals hit I had to stop what I was doing and just watch & listen.

i played dis game long enough to know all soundtracks and , she should have been the voice on that song on the actual game... hearing it was quite good , remembered when i could do high pitched songs ... and the back ground were perfect , no fails at all ... really good
