I love how Cortner kept the cosmic sound with the synthesizer glissando. I believe the first intro is a combo of the first two themes first intro and the drum intro is a combo of the first two second intros and the bridge from the first two themes. And I love the new cymbal arrangement. If you listen carefully you can hear the background cymbals symbolic of the first two themes cymbal arrangement including the hi hat cymbals aka cymbals controlled by the foot pedal. And I also love the sound of the Tom Tom drum beats at the end of the drum intro and the end of each verse. I think the Tom Tom drums were electronic or put through a synthesizer for this theme. And of course the dramatic cymbal crash to bring in the ending note! I sometimes wonder how long the ending note is. Because it's always cut short when the opening sequence fades out. Awesome techno synthesizer arrangement. Makes me wonder how it all sounded when they were creating it in the recording studio. And I think about that with all of the arrangements. As much as I like the Charles Paul theme and Jelinda's theme by Barry DeVorzon. The World Turns On and On and the sequences are the best in my opinion. This was As The World Turns's first computerized sequence! It debuted on November 2, 1981!
Now Marnie Schulenberg (the last Alison Stewart until the series ended) passed away recently way before her time. Very very sad at that young life cut short. I saw her and the late great Kathryn Hays at the very last ATWT fan club event. Wish I had that on video to relive that event. Now Terri Conn aka Katie Peretti is a QVC host! Cool to get to see her on daytime tv again!
This one I’m most familiar with since I was a little boy when this played. My mom used to watch all the CBS soaps during my early childhood. “Blouses by Regina Porter”. Join us tomorrow/this is Dan Region inviting you to join us again Monday for “As the World Turns! PGP logo plays.
I love how the show kept the closer centered world for the closing but with the updated look with the atmospheric glow and the beams of light! My opinion, the colors and texture of the world looked better in the computerized sequence and I also love how the turning is a bit quicker than in the two earlier logos! Also love how some of the stars are still like in the first two logos and also love the other stars moving in different directions!
This version of as the world turns hits home to me I remember this song very well but it hits home more back around 1992 my aunt was laying down on my grandma couch as I came home from school as this song was playing fast forward to yesterday on 8/26/2000 my aunt died of a drug overdose it broke me for a lot of years and this version remains my best connection to my aunt as she hug me while this song was playing

Awesome! You are great at editing!
I hated this one because they left the bridge out.
From the 1981-93 ATWT theme, this one had the most dramatic sound of them all. My mom (God Rest her soul) watched this when I was in school.
Now Marnie Schulenberg (the last Alison Stewart until the series ended) passed away recently way before her time. Very very sad at that young life cut short. The best one is the '85-'88.

Everytime I listen to the closing theme of this show, I think of my grandmother Willie Mae.
