Nice, but I think I prefer the more upbeat version which came before this one I believe.
I like this one, My all-time favorite is the opening from the early to mid 90's. THAT one is the best!

This was the theme when I started watching GL. The show was so good in the early 90s...until Reva came back🙄

Beautiful love this theme
Guiding Light ended production nearly 15 years ago on CBS, but I always thought that I could have my own announcer’s job at this classic network.
It’s a great honor for me to carry on this CBS Daytime tradition that’s been going on for over 70 years. I know that CBS WILL STILL BE #1 for a whopping 34th year in a row come December of this year because they have such loyal fans. Thanks a lot, everybody! Kenneth A Huang 7/10/2022.

Is it just me, or did Roger Thorpe's return to Springfield make the theme more somber? From '86-'89, before he returned, the theme was so much more upbeat.

As we enter year 5 of an ongoing mass disabling event that is also the 5th deadliest global pandemic in recorded human history, and as most of us have “moved on,” without holding our leaders accountable, I’m struggling like many others.
I seek solace by watching old clips of my mom’s favorite stories. Guiding Light was my favorite soap that I watched with her and favorite overall. (Days is my favorite soap that I watched alone.)
Point being, Edwyn is a BEAST for all of these Guiding Light clips. You have no clue how much just listening to these old tunes has helped me as things literally fall apart around me. THANK YOU so much, Edwyn, I already feel a little better!! 😅

This is like GL last really great theme song. There was an alternative closing version of this used in 1986, it was a more beautifully arranged somber cut. I wish I can find it.

Edwyn Sanchez It was melancholy. I think in the closing it showed Rick Bauer and Mindy Lewis in a backyard.

I like the 1983 version better...this is a cheap version of 83-84
