      Yeah I don't buy cars as investments. If Toyota continues to create artificial scarcity, then they'll probably be worth something. • @al3jandr038
      @al3jandr038 Год назад +10

    • @SerPurple51
      @SerPurple51 Год назад +3

      @@al3jandr038 even still, 450HP is a lot! I'm sure in time there will be bolt on kits and tunes available to make it close to 500whp without having too many headaches. @@JTube571 This isn't the engine from the WRC car. It wouldn't even be legal, since it's slightly over 1600cc. The only thing WRC about the GR Yaris is that it has 3 doors, which means Toyota can race with a 3-door hatch. The WRC+ and Hybrid cars are both 1600cc inline 4's, so it's not even using the same bore/stroke or cylinder count.

    So, I'm very unfamiliar with a small 3-cylinder engine that is only 1.6L but still makes the same amount of horsepower as the Type R that has 1 more cylinder and .5 Liter more. Does that mean that this engine has been given tons amount of boost and will stress out the engine and/or longevity? People always say turbo engines don't last as long as NA engines, so an engine set up like this makes me wonder why Toyota went with it. Either way, for the time being, it sounds amazing and pretty powerful!

Now I may only be 18 but man do I want one of these

    Am I the only one hating the JBL speaker grills? I mean, just LOOK AT THEM, they ruin every car interior. Usually expensive audio system grills make the interior look more stylish, but JBL makes them look like toys. I just couldn't drive this car looking at those ugly tweeters on A pillars. I'd rip them off.

    what an epic "economy" enthusiast's car.. really sucks its already getting marked up to wazoo and out of the hands of plenty of people who'd buy one though.. and hopefully they'll eventually make some of the nice options in the Circuit Edition available in the Core as well; can't help but feel like those leather seats and LSD's should've been standard in a car going for 40k. Regardless, Toyota continues to help save the [mostly] affordable-fun-car market :)

Has a worse tranny, (1-2 is the natural resting place, and has no center return spring or anything) but overall a fun car.

      What are you talking about? It's $39,999.99.. that's clearly $30k. 😅
      The BRZ was originally teased (as the FT86) as a low $20 thousands car. It's a parts bin Impreza chassis using an old Impreza production line. Many of us expected a $21-$22 intro price.
      Then Toyota priced the (non-negotiable) Scion FRS at $24,930. Well.. that's on the low half of the $20 thousands.. silly us. The '13 BRZ's invoice price was $24,327.
