I'm picking up my supersonic red GRC in 2 weeks.
Yeah Baby.
Just like the civic does in the dry.
Now the GR86! Would love to see if you notice anything different from the 2022 automatic! Seems like the same exact car!
I don't think 40k is a bargain when it was advertised as being a 30k hot hatch when announced.
What are you talking about? It's $39,999.99.. that's clearly $30k. 😅
The BRZ was originally teased (as the FT86) as a low $20 thousands car. It's a parts bin Impreza chassis using an old Impreza production line. Many of us expected a $21-$22 intro price.
Then Toyota priced the (non-negotiable) Scion FRS at $24,930. Well.. that's on the low half of the $20 thousands.. silly us. The '13 BRZ's invoice price was $24,327.
Why they don't put this drivetrain in a nice looking car like the GR86 is beyond me. Such an ugly econobox look but on the other hand fun to drive. A person is torn, do I want a super ugly car that is fun or something else.
I love this car but I feel like the interior needs to be a little better once you get into the $40,000-50,000 range. Even the GR86's interior is better than this, despite being way cheaper.
I think the car turned out to be fun after everyone leveled their expectations. 😂
Because after Utah no one said anything about the event other then SavageGeese publicly.
TheTopher coming in with the POV Carwash Experience.
ohh can t wait to get my hands on thiss machinne
Sad that young generation Americans have turned into a buy it/use it/throw it away/disposable/I'm helpless society...my generation had a lot of small hi performance cars..ya we would stuff a Chevy 350 in a vega or pinto or 240z for a couple grand..and it was a whole lot faster than this car..don't buy this over priced toy for 80grand people..buy a 1991 Honda civic hatch back and stuff a h22 in it ...I got 03 matrix with a 2 litre JDM Mrs spider motor C60 LSD tranny 4wDB that will run this thing down and I didn't spend more than 6or7 grand building it.. build it yourself people..hopsing and ling ling don't need to do everything for you.
It’s like if 2007 mazda 3 had a baby with 2023 WRX. And that screen drives me a little nuts. Otherwise cool car, but even at MSRP I don’t think it warrants the price. Not over the type r
Before this, the only Toyota Hot Hatch I can really think of is the Corolla RunX RSi and the Auris TRD, maybe the limited Yaris GRMN as well.
Dealers in Puerto Rico are asking $55K, including the $7K cost for transportation to PR. Which means about a $10K dealer mark up. Its not too bad compared to other delears in the States but I cant justify spending $55K and getting a Corolla interior. Also they are readily available, no waiting list.
So I want one bad. Just not willing to pay very high mark up. Can get new WRX for really good price. Your review on WRX looked like it was a good car too. Should I buy WRX or hold out for GR. What’s the Big differences between the two? TOPHER please help….
19:43 to 21:02 Sick skills! Watching this makes me want to learn these skills!
That song slap though. good review and thanks for the song ahaha
I actually own one of these and the loss of power u were experiencing was due to not having everything off, expert mode helps with all that and actually full disables any power loss and any assists. apart from that these cars handle amazingly
Sat in one at the autoshow but I feel only enthusiast's would know what this car is. They isn't have it blocked off just ho and check it out. Same with the supra. So nice!!
Still trying to convince my wife that we need this, and I promise it's going to be one of 2 "forever" cars I'd own.
The wife is not the issue, it is convincing my dealer that is the issue!
@@93455Driver I can't believe that my dealer has gotten and sold 5 Supras but have yet to get allocated a single GR Corolla.
@@aaronhancock9864 My dealer had one so far, but I was not top of the list :/.
It’s awesome that the GR Corolla is becoming more available at MSRP
ya - I managed a $1k discount on my GRC C last week.
Too bad it’s almost impossible to get one, let alone at MSRP. But I bet they’ll hold it go up in value so It’ll probably be very hard to get this at MSRP. Maybe if they make more in the future.
$70k????? For a segment c car with an I3 engine? Are we crazy?
Our parents dreamt with ferraris with V12 engines... Or at least with 70$ you could buy a good V8 from Mercedes or BMW... But now we want ultra-turbocharged cans
...if it had a decent interior, a special interior...might be on my shortlist. But on my short list is the new Yaris GR Ogier/Rovanpera with the latest interior!!!!
Did I really just sit and watch 3 minutes of PSSSHSHSHSHSHHSHSWHAHSSHWHAHSHAWHSHSHSHSWHSHSHSHWHWHWH
As someone that just bought a Premium 24...that sound system SUCKS stock. My 27k Sonata sounds better.
I think you should start adding Car Wash asmr on your car videos 🤣
I have one without the diffs, I definitely would have loved to have them but without, still crazy fun and handles super well.
Without the diffs, It's basically like getting a WRX. But poss more reliable? Only the future will tell, but it's a Toyota through and through.
2023 Toyota GR Corolla Core Hatchback!
Trade my GR86 Neptune blue for a GR Corolla core with all packages. That is the questions
It is mainly front wheel drive, the split just adjusts how much power you allow the engine to send to the rear *when you lose grip on the front tires*
What a gorgeous car.
Can you please start showing the engine bay
Ohhh man what i would do for one of these .....
Damn that turn is next level well done the topher
Nice!! But 1 thing you forgot to do. Turn off. Your AC.!! Make car slow...
That front seat looks really mediocre and compared to other cars like an MX5 or Fiesta ST Recaro, not to mention for this pricetag...
gr team really squeezing those power out of those 3 cyls
Why couldnt you fit kid in back? Seems more practical than gr86?
Common Honda give us rally edition AWD typeR, if Toyota could honda should
